79 Assigning Missions

Jian didn't have much to do after announcing the competition. Everyone in the sect was preparing for the competition. Some were honing their martial arts. Some were cultivating to increase their cultivation realm.

After announcing, he had to think about the missions he was going to assign his disciples.

Jian had only a rough idea on which missions to assign them. But he had to ideally choose them so that they could bring out the potential.

He had assigned them a mission early so that he could start to practice refining the awakening pills.

Next day after announcing the competition. He gathered his disciples in the sect hall.

" Today, I am going to assign your missions. As you know that you should complete them before the start of the competition, " Jian explained afterthey gathering in the sect Hall.

One by one, he started to call them forward and handed them a scroll. After giving them, " These are your missions. You should go and check them. If you have any doubts, you can come to ask me."

Jian gave them missions and told them to leave. But there was a problem. Everyone got the Mission except Ling'er.

" Master, why didn't you give me the mission," Ling'er asked innocently. She was sad seeing everyone getting the mission except her.

Jian smiled and patted her " Ling'er, I have a mission for you, but it is a critical mission, so I had to make sure that we are alone."

Ling'er blinked innocently because she didn't understand why Jian would be giving her the vital mission. Jian saw this and started to laugh and started to talk about the task.

Yu Yue: The mission she got was related to weaponsmithing. Jian had taught her three different weapons. Sword, Spear, and Saber.

So he had decided her mission to refine twenty sets of each weapon, but there was a catch that she would be given only thirty-five collections of materials.

Meaning she would have only thirty-five chances to refine twenty weapons.

Yu Yang: The mission he got was in two parts, and it was related to his Appraiser profession.

The first part of the mission was to become the one-star Appraiser. Although Jian was forcing him to hurry, he had been practising for two months. Jian was confident that he would be able to pass the exam.

The second part of the mission was that Jian would give him ten things to be appraised, and he had to Appraise them perfectly because below the ninety per cent correctness will be considered a failure of the mission.

Yu Yang had gotten a more challenging mission. He had to pass the professional exam and pass the test given by Jian.

Zhou You: His mission was also divided into two parts. But it is even more complicated than Yu Yang's mission.

The mission he got was also related to his profession, Alchemist.

The first part of the mission was to pass the one-star alchemist exam. Since Zhou was already at the level of the one-star alchemist, he only had not taken the exam.

So Jian added it in his mission. The second part of the mission was considered hard. Even Jian himself would have trouble completing it.

The second part was for him to refine three different pills. Body tempering Pills, Marrow Cleansing Pills, and Meridian tempering pills.

The amount of the pills he had to refine was twenty sets of each medication, but there was a catch that all ten drugs should be above ninety per cent in quality.

If the pills are below ninety per cent, then they will be not accepted. All should be at least at ninety per cent quality.

This Mission was most difficult, and Jian also knew about it. He had trouble increasing the quality of the pills.

The most challenging mission was given to Zhou You because he was stuck in refining pills. Although he was able to increase the quality above 80 per cent, he could not improve it further.

In the last two months, he had practised many times but couldn't do it even after sharing his Alchemy experience.

Jian wanted him to compete with himself. He had the fittest physique for Alchemy but was waiting for its talent. So to pressure him, Jian had given the mission.

Jian didn't care about the number of pills. He only thought that Zhou You should refine a pill above 90 per cent.

Zhou, You didn't have to worry about the herbs. He had an unlimited supply to complete the mission.

In everyone's mission scroll, there was an extra instruction that there would be punishment if they couldn't complete the mission.

Although Jian didn't care about the missions, he added it to pressure them. He only cares about them understanding their profession deeply.

Ling'er: The mission she got was most important, according to Jian.

She didn't require any mission because she had started to cultivate, and Jian didn't plan to give her any mission. Still, when he saw her pitiful expression when everyone else got assignments on the spot, he decided to provide her with the task.

The mission she got was to cause trouble to her senior brothers and sister. She had pushed them concern and hindered them from completing the tasks.

For Yu Yue, she had to disturb by asking doubts about cultivation continuously. Since Yu Yue started to look after the disciples, she had never neglected anyone asking doubts.

For Yu Yang, she had to force him to take her to the city when he would take the Appraiser exam. She would request to buy anything in the town and hinder Yu Yang.

As for Zhou You, he didn't need to tell. They both would argue themselves without even giving them instructions.

He gave her this type of mission to enjoy a little bit because the future path of cultivation would not be enjoyable.

Ling'er was very happy hearing her mission and said that she couldn't wait to start.

Jian sighed when she left the sect Hall. He then thought about practising refining awakening pills for physiques.
