312 FAMILY FEUD

Just as Cayden has predicted, Uncle Bo did not take it lightly. As soon as he received Zoe's petition to reinvestigate the transfer of the company's title to his name, Uncle Bo immediately contacted Zoe.

Zoe did not turn her back as she agreed to meet with him, not as her niece but as a victim of a fraudulent crime who wants justice.

"I'm just here." Raigon pressed her hand as Zoe was hyperventilating. Zoe gave him a thankful smile.

Uncle Bo was already walking towards their table with a vicious look on his face. One that Zoe has not seen in her entire life.

Koby was following close behind and was smiling at her. But it changed for a few seconds as he saw Raigon. Then it returned to a pleasant one again as they nodded at each other.

'Is this who you really are, Uncle?' Zoe thought to herself with a disappointed note.

As she recalls, he had always provided for everything that she needed materially. But he was always at a distance, just asking, checking.

He's still a kind and nice Uncle that she thought about him doing such a cruel thing.

'Perhaps the tree is wrong. I could ask him about it now.'

Zoe and Raigon bowed down to him in respect. But before she could utter a word, Uncle Bo spoke up with a bitter tone.

"How could you do this to me? I raised you up as my own."

Zoe bowed her head as she felt guilty to that too. Whatever bad blood he may have against Terra or her mother, he indeed supported her somehow.

She drew in a deep breath as she lifted her head. "I am just looking for the truth, Uncle. If Papa indeed gave you the right to the hospital, there's nothing to worry about. Am I right?"

"Why now? You didn't show up for seven straight years. And now you will just appear and grab the company back just like that? The company that I have worked on for years?"

Uncle Bo raised his voice, which made the waiters glance their way.

Fortunately, they were at an exclusive location that there were no other clients at that time except for them.

"And my grandfather and father have worked on it for decades. But as I heard, it is now turning into a money grabbing business which is so different from the vision that they set. Or is it just a hearsay, Uncle?"

Zoe retorted back, still in a respectful manner as her Uncle and the current CEO of Cheng Hospital.

"'Money Grabbing' is a farfetched term for it. We just tweaked a little since there are departments that are not hitting the target. The hospital is already below the ranking and it will be the last if we won't do anything about it."

Koby interrupted in since he was the one who Zoe seemed to be talking to.

"You don't want the name of your father to be forgotten, don't you, Zoe Cheng?" He winked at her as if something was funny about what he said.

Her father became famous then and Cheng Hospital became number one in the rank as the best health care provider in their municipality. However, his reasoning is not enough for Zoe to back out.

"Yes. And I don't want his name to be remembered as a scumbag either." Zoe blurted out as she got furious at him, including his father in this.

Raigon, who was just silently observing the family feud couldn't help but react when he saw Zoe losing her control.

His hand unintentionally flew pressed on her shoulders as if reminding her that he is around in case she needs anything.

"And who is this man with you?" Uncle Bo raised an eyebrow at him.

Zoe drew in a deep breath to control herself as she answered in the most respectful way that she can.

"He is my husband, Uncle."

"Husband?" Both Uncle Bo and Koby reacted together.

Zoe nodded in response. But it seemed that he was not interested in her sudden change of status as he asked a weird question.

"Where did you come from?"

Raigon was astounded at his question. But he answered him generally. "I came from a faraway land. I apologize for not introducing myself earlier."

"Is that faraway land the land of Terra?" Raigon furrowed his brows at him then turned to Zoe as if asking her why he knows about it.

"Uncle…" Zoe's eyes widened in surprise as he just confirmed that he knows about the place.

"Thank you for visiting us. In return, we will also visit yours. Again." Uncle Bo was now oddly smiling with a wicked twinkle in his eye.

Until then, Zoe hadn't told Raigon that she saw him under the influence of the fruit as the one who instigated the bloodbath. She still wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, it seemed like she should have not.

Raigon's face turned pallid white as he reiterated to him. "Again?"

"Yes. We've been there before. Fifteen years to be exact. Don't you remember, my darling niece? You were the one who wanted a vacation, right?"

"And you were the one who suggested that place. Why, Uncle? Did you plan for my parent's death?" Zoe was now trembling as she was trying to take a hold of herself.

Raigon offered her a glass of water which she gulped in less than a few seconds.

"That was a very wicked thing to say. Your mother wanted to see your grandmother. And I learned that she was there. I was only helping her out."

"If you wanted to help her, why did you leave them behind? You had a gun!" Tears were now flowing down Zoe's cheeks.

"H-how did you know about it? You saw the Tree don't you?"

Now it was Raigon's turn to react as he heard about the legend from the mouth of the outside world.
