311 HE'S MY HUSBAND

"I saw it!" Raigon exclaimed as he handed a piece of paper to Zoe.

They were rummaging through their old house, looking for the document that Enzo said will be required so they could file a case against Uncle Bo.

Without it, they wouldn't be able to prove that the documents that he filed were falsified.

Zoe's face lit up as she was already losing hope that it would be found. She quickly jumped and put her arms around Raigon in delight.

"Thank you! You're a lifesaver!" She grinned at him.

But realizing that she was physically close with him, she immediately pushed him away. However, Raigon would not let her go this time.

He put back her arms around his neck and pulled her closer to him until he could smell her feminine scent.

"Can't I have a reward?" A playful smile curved his lips as he stared hungrily at her lips, making Zoe gulp as if she hasn't drank water for the past three days.

"I miss you, my wife."

He didn't ask for any more permission as his mouth plunged down on hers. As he did so, his feet scuffled forward until he could lay her on her bed.

Zoe was taken aback as she was still contemplating if she would allow her body to respond to him.

But it was as if her mind wanted to relax even just at that moment, she allowed Raigon to express his pent-up desire for her as she also missed him as much.

"I thought you're going to meet up with your cousin?"

Raigon kissed her forehead as Zoe was now lying on his bare chest, with only a piece of blanket covering them. His fingers played with her long hair covering her nakedness.

"Oh, I almost forgot! It's your fault!" Zoe playfully swat on Raigon as she jumped on her feet and put back her clothes.

She was hurrying but her face now glowed with a different radiance as if her anxiety had been lifted away.

With their oneness, she felt that she was not alone in handling this gigantic task that she is facing. And she realized that he was still the same man that loves her dearly.

However, she was still in doubt whether their love was enough to make them stay together. Since she has an appointment, she pushed the thought aside as they both went out and met with Cayden.

"You're married. And h-he's your husband?!" Cayden gave Zoe an awkward smile as he scratched his head.

They were already at the place where they agreed to meet. And Zoe introduced Raigon as she was very open and comfortable with her cousin. She doesn't want him the last to know.

Raigon was extending his hand so Cayden grabbed it and shook hands with it. Though his eyes were furrowed at Zoe.

"I thought you're on some medical mission." His voice grew cold and his eyes narrowed down at her.

Zoe also smiled at him sheepishly. She understood why he was acting that way. She has never introduced a guy as her boyfriend. Much more as a husband. So she tried to explain to him.

"It's a long story. But he's a good man. Trust me." She gave a quick glance at Raigon who bowed to him.

"I apologize if I wasn't able to contact you before our marriage. Our land is miles from here. But I asked for her grandmother's consent and also her friend, Erin."

"You better, man. We're talking about my cousin here. If I see her crying because of you, I will hunt you down even if your location is on another planet."

Cayden warned him in a stern voice.

Zoe tilted her head to Cayden in surprise as she was not used to seeing him like that. She often sees him in a gentle and cool demeanor.

Fortunately, Raigon was able to keep his cool and answer intelligently.

"You will not see our land."

"Why? There is nothing that Google Maps cannot see these days. Is your land that exclusive?"

"No. It's just that you will not see her cry because of me. And I will support her through everything so she will not shed a tear at all."

Zoe couldn't help but gaze at Raigon adoringly. It is true. He has taken care of things with his own hands and even risked his life over and over just to see her safe.

Seeing how she reacts to this man beside him, softens Cayden's heart that he decided to let go of their sudden marriage. He deviated the topic instead.

"Wait, grandmother? I haven't seen her in ages." Cayden responded now focusing on Zoe.

"She's alive and well. Though I don't know if we're talking about the same grandmother." Zoe shrugged her shoulders.

"What do you mean?" He asked her in confusion.

Zoe sighed as she cannot divulge about the tree and how she knew it by travelling back into the past.

"I haven't found proof yet. But there is a chance that we're not blood related."

Cayden's eyes widened in bafflement at what she was saying. "That is ridiculous!"

"Yeah. It is. But if ever it is true, I hope things wouldn't change between us."

Zoe smiled at him lovingly like an elder sister affectionately adoring her little brother.

Cayden was still shaking his head in denial but he was able to nod it after some time.

"IF you are not my legitimate cousin, then why would your father give the company to him?" Cayden rubbed his chin.

"That is actually the reason why I am asking you for the documents that our family attorney has regarding the transfer of the company. We need to find out the truth."

Zoe gritted her teeth as she recalled her memory of her Uncle leaving her parents behind when he could help them survive.

"Here it is. Just be ready. You know Uncle will not let this pass."
