"A-are you sure it's okay to do this? You have a whole different set of laws here."

Raigon wiped the beads of sweat from his own forehead as Zoe was donning on his mask and gloves. She asked a friend if she can rent her clinic room since she was having a vacation at that time. 

However, there was no one available at that time who was free to assist her with the surgery. So she contacted Raigon instead. 

"He needs to be operated on within 72 hours or his appendix will rupture. And they don't have enough money for an operation."

Zoe tried to explain as she was also in doubt if she was doing the right thing. Her experiences in Terra must have loosen her screws for her trying to operate with an unlicensed personnel who has no extensive medical knowledge or background.

As for her, she has no problem since her medical license hasn't expired yet.

"Don't worry. I will just assist you in whatever legal way possible. Besides, the kid and her grandfather have given you their consent. It's time to make your father proud."

He cheered her on, making Zoe glance up to him. Even though she cannot see his whole face as it was covered in a mask, she knows that there were two dimples popping up behind them.

"Thank you, your High - I mean Mr. Wang."

She replied as she also felt gratified that he was there at that time and he went to her side at a quick notice.

"Or you could also thank me as Sticky." He mischievously teased her as his eyes twinkle. 

With his joke, she suddenly recalls the first time she called him Sticky when he saved her from the leering eyes of ogling men at the beach.

"Now that I remember, you really are a sticky paper." She chuckled as she imagined him like a sticky paper who was stuck to her and that he just followed her wherever she went.

However, she suddenly stopped as she still doesn't want to let go of her hurt from what he and his family had done to her.

She cleared her throat as she doesn't want her fuzzy feeling with him around. They were here to save a life. 

She began to test Raigon if he could remember the instruments that they would be using to operate on the grandfather. Fortunately, he was quick to learn. He even recited their uses, making Zoe chuckle again for the second time.

With her skill, and Raigon's excellence in assisting her, they finished the operation in less than an hour. 

The granddaughter was waiting outside when they threw the door open. 

"Is grandfather okay?" She asked as she wrung her fingers.

Zoe nodded at her and smiled. "Yes. He's safe now."

The granddaughter started crying. "I thought we're hopeless. Mom and dad left me three years ago. I thought grandfather would leave me too. I don't think I can carry it."

Zoe's heart felt like it was squeezed as she saw herself in her situation then. Her memories came flashing back to her when she would just cry all night in memories of her parents. 

"You know what? Whatever happens in your life, I think you can. And you will make them proud of you as they see you from heaven."

She gave her an encouraging smile as she patted her head. 

"Thank you. Thank you, Ma'am. You're just like your father. You are so kind."

She put her arms around her and embraced her. Zoe encircled her in her arms as well and patted her back as her eyes also welled with tears with what she just said.

'Father, I hope I made you proud today.' She lifted her eyes to the ceiling as if he could listen to her silent prayer.

Raigon saw all these as he was stroking his neck. He suddenly paused as he gazed at Zoe comforting the younger version of herself.

She indeed endured a lot since then. He drew in a deep breath as he felt the pang of guilt once again. 

At first he thought that what he is feeling for her is out of sympathy and condemnation. That it was the reason why he wanted to help her every time.

But then he realized that it's not just because of what happened in the past. But because he likes everything about her. Her selflessness, her compassion for others, her courage to do what she thinks is right and now that they're married, her loyalty to her. 

'How could I let you go just like that?' He whispered to her from where he is.

The granddaughter went to her grandfather who was now resting leaving Raigon and Zoe to themselves.

"That was an excellent job as always." He told her as she was closing her phone. 

Fortunately, one nurse that she knew whom she couldn't contact a while ago just got off from her duty and has nothing to do afterwards. 

She asked her if she could come by and take care of the grandfather while she went out for a brief time.

As she heard Raigon's comment, she turned towards him and bowed to him the Terran way.

"Thank you, your Highness. You're not bad yourself." She gave him a warm smile. 

Her pleasant feeling must have heated up some icy part of her heart that she was opening up to him little by little. 

However, she quickly transformed back to her cold and distant self as she wondered how long he would be this way to her. 

Nevertheless, Raigon would not let her return back to her shell easily. He drew near to her and lifted his arm as he put back a strand of hair from her face to her ear.

"You also made your husband proud today." He spoke to her in a sultry voice, his smoldering gaze not leaving her face.
