178 BACK FROM THE DEAD

Even with the Queen's death stare, Zoe didn't flinch at her overwhelming desire to save Raigon.

'I can do this. I'm a doctor. I have saved many lives. I can do it again. Only three minutes have passed… 1, 2, 3…"

She started counting again. 

Queen Rose stood up and grabbed Zoe's hair and pulled her out of the bed. 

"Your Majesty!" Physician Sheng Tun reacted but he cannot do anything. He couldn't touch the Queen to stop her from doing what she wanted.

Even with the Queen's intentions of pulling her away from Raigon and her head hurt from the Queen pulling on it, she still flung herself down and breathed air on Raigon's mouth. Before the Queen finally separated her, she was able to hear him breathe again.

Zoe's face radiated in joy. She finally allowed her body to be taken away as she pulled her down on the ground.

"How dare you lay your hands on me! Do you know that it is capital punishment to hurt the royal family?!��� She shrieked at her with both of her hands on her waist.

"I know I have disrespected you, your Majesty. Punish me, I don't deserve to live. But your Highness, the Crowned Prince is alive."

Queen Rose's muscles went rigid as she heard Zoe's words. "I-is it true? Is he really alive?"

She bolted to Raigon's side and checked him out. His eyes were still closed, but his lips and the color of his skin were slowly returning to normal.

Physician Sheng Tun also ran to his side. "I-It cannot be. He was already dead a while ago."

He put his ear in his mouth and felt air coming out of it. "H-he is breathing, your Majesty!" He also checked out his pulse. "It is also palpitating at regular intervals."

Queen Rose's gloomy and angry demeanor transformed into a happy and hopeful one. 

They both stared at Zoe who was still kneeling on the ground. 

"Y-you brought him back to life?" Queen Rose exclaimed in bewilderment. 

Zoe put her forehead down on the ground, both as a sign of respect to her that she wasn't able to show a while ago and to hide her tears of joy as she felt elated that she had saved the most precious person in her heart.

"He still needs treatment, your Majesty. I advise that you give him pain medications for his chest pains instead of cough suppressants because he needs to expel the bacteria or virus from his lungs. He also needs to take lots of fluid and rest for up to a month so he can fully recover."

"W-will that be enough treatment, milady?" Physician Sheng Tun asked Zoe. 

Zoe paused as she knows it is not. If they were in their own world, he would have to go tests to see what specific intervention he had to take to recuperate well. But since he cannot go out of Terra, they have to make do with what they have.

"I don't really know, my lord. I apologize. It depends on his body's response and a lot of other factors."

"M-mother…" Raigon managed to utter as he opened and closed his eyes. 

"I'm here my son, I'm here." Queen Rose scrambled to grasp his hands and pressed it firmly. 

She laid her head on his chest and as she heard his heart beating again, tears fell down her eyes. She closed them and smiled.

"I- I want…" Raigon spoke up in between his breaths.

Queen Rose lifted her head and cupped her son's face. "What do you want, my son? I will do anything! I will even lay my life for you!"

"I want Lady Asha to treat me…" Raigon requested the Queen who raised both of her eyebrows in response.

"But - " She glanced at her who was still kneeling. But her head was already lifted up and she heard his request loud and clear.

"It is an honor, your Highness!" She bends her head down again with her hands in front of her.

They may have issues to be resolved, but his life is of utmost priority. She didn't know if the royal physicians' medical knowledge was enough for him to survive.

'Even in our world, pneumonia is fatal if not treated properly. I will not lose this opportunity to help him stay alive.' She resolved to herself.

Raigon lifted his hand and held Queen Rose's hand that was cupping his face. "P-please.." He pleaded with her, with a slightly forceful voice that a cough came out again from his lungs making him wince in pain.

Queen Rose drew in a deep breath and gave in. "Alright, alright. But she must only be within the Crowned Prince area. She must not go outside or any area of the Castle. Do you understand?" 

She was now referring to Zoe.

"Your grace and kindness is immeasurable, your Majesty!" Zoe made a formal bow.

Queen Rose raised an eyebrow. "Physician Sheng Tun will also check you every now and then just to make sure you know what you're doing."

Now it is Physician Sheng Tun who bowed to the Queen.

Queen Rose focused on her son again and embraced him. "Don't scare us like that again. I will die with you of a heart attack!"

Raigon gave a tepid smile and nodded his head.

Zoe stood up and asked Physician Sheng Tun for some pain medications for Raigon. And as she did so, she noticed that he was narrowing his eyes at Raigon. But when he noticed her looking at him, he smiled at her and agreed.

"I will bring them here, milady." 

"I will also leave now. I will just get some food for you, and then I'll get back." Queen Rose declared and gave a doubtful eye on Zoe.

Zoe bowed to her and faced Raigon.

Now they were alone in his Chamber and staring at each other.
