151 SIGNS OF SURVIVAL

"It is the same case as that in the dungeons! But this is a bigger scenario!"

Zoe has never encountered a life threatening outbreak like this before.

But she remembered how to deal with this situation in the books that she read during her studies.

At the speed of light, Zoe immediately pulled on her mask and put the same preventive measure on Erin.

She also gave one to Raigon and Azra.

"Everyone! Give me your outer garment!"

"What?!" They all chorused together.

"Zo- I mean Lady Asha, why would you think of clothes in this scenario?!" Erin voiced out her opinion.

"Do you trust me?"

Raigon immediately removed his coat. "I have witnessed Lady Asha's skills. We will all obey her commands."

He handed out his coat and bowed to her.

"It's not that I don't trust you. Geez," Erin commented with a frown as she removed her outer garment and gave it to Zoe.

Azra also did the same.

While they did so, Zoe brought out a pair of scissors.

"Are you just making a new fashion statement in this mess?" Erin commented again.

But she helped lay down the clothes for her to cut.

"This is just perfect. Listen everyone. Time here is crucial. We must monitor the state of this area to stop the disease from spreading any further. And we can do so with these."

She lifted up the pieces of cut clothes in front of them.

"You will put this on every arm of the people here according to how severe their condition is."

They all furrowed her brows at her but she explained how it will help them.

"If they are walking and not exhibiting signs of the disease such as vomiting or diarrhea, put Azra's beige cloth on. It means that they don't need our immediate attention. We will minimize a waste of time."

"When they are pulseless and not breathing, put His Highness' coat. This is one way for the royal family to sympathize with their unfortunate death."

Raigon bowed to her. "Thank you for considering that."

A corner of Zoe's face curved upward, but she continued on explaining the strategy.

"Again, we will spend our time more efficiently if we will not dwell on them. If you notice that a person is having problems with breathing and their pulse is quick and pulsating, put on my blue cloth. It means I need to check on them at once. Are you understanding so far?"

Everyone nodded as they listened to her instructions.

Erin raised her hand. "How about me? Where will my clothes go?"

"Good question. They will be put on those whom you think have the disease but don't need immediate intervention. I will check on them after I finish with those who had my clothes."

"I understand! Let's do this!" She raised her hand signalling others to do the same.

They looked awkwardly at one another but they also raised their hands.

Erin put her palm down. Zoe put her palm on hers. It was Raigon's first time to do that action but he put his palm on Zoe's hand. Azra put his palm on his.

Erin yelled. "Operation Saving Xianhai Province!"

"Don't forget to wash your hands all the time. Let's go!"

Zoe called them in with a wave of her hand.

Azra and Erin started to check on the people. But Raigon chose to be left behind.

"I will give you back up."

He bowed to Zoe and left.

Zor scratched her head but proceeded on scanning the people's signs of survival.

Raigon went to every house and searched for the young physicians who were supposed to be treating the patients.

It took him a while before he saw them.

"Why are you all here?!"

They were huddled in what seemed to be an Infirmary in that area and they all appeared to be leaving.

They scurried as they packed their things like somebody was running after them.

And because he is in disguise, they didn't recognize him as the Crowned Prince.

"You still have no plans of leaving? This place is already cursed! This is in the hands of God!"

One of them blurted out as he threw the door open and left without even looking back.

"What?! Do you mean that we will just leave the people to die?"

His voice bellowed at the whole room. But it seemed that they were unaffected as they continued to save themselves from the catastrophe that has fallen upon the land.

"If you want to save them, no one's stopping you. But leave us out of it. We still want to live!"

Another commented and was about to follow the first one in leaving the place. But Raigon managed to intercept him.

"If only the Crowned Prince is competent enough, that intruder will have no boldness to enter this land and destroy our peace."

Raigon narrowed his eyes on him. "Are you just talking about me?"

The young physician gasped in horror as he stared at the destined ruler's fiery ice cold eyes.

He immediately fell to his feet with his head grounded on the floor.

"Kill me, your Highness. I don't deserve to live!"

All the young physicians froze on their tracks and fell on their knees and exclaimed.

"Kill us, your Highness. We don't deserve to live!"

"You all are willing to die in a shameful and dishonoring way. But why not die because of a noble act? Terra, the land that fed you and gave you a lovely home for centuries, needs you now. Is it not heartbreaking for you to abandon her like this?"

"Forgive us your Highness of our wrongdoing. But it is not we who turned our back on her, your Highness. Our mentors left us here without notice. And we did our best to turn the tides. But piles of dead bodies kept adding up more and more. We don't know what to do anymore."

"What if there is a way?" Raigon asked them, as he threw the door open and showed them the Operation Saving Xianhai Province Team in action.
