128 AN UNUSUAL DATING PLACE

Zoe was arranging the operating area when Adrian's grandmother barged into the room.

She bowed down to her in respect but gave a blatant instruction. 

"Yes, milady. I will do my best to help him survive. I'm sorry to say this but I hope you could leave the room as soon as possible together with your daughter."

She turned her back quickly to arrange the construction tools that the servants gave to her.

At that time the only people in the room were Adrian, Erin and Lady Liu.

Adrian's grandmother's previous surprise turned into a frown.

"Why are we going to leave my grandson's life to you alone with your hammers and chisels?! It is your head who needs to get in check!"

Zoe bowed lower this time without raising her head up.

"I know it is inconvenient for you, milady. But we don't have enough time. In an hour, your grandson is about to lose his life. We need to keep this place as clean as possible so I can operate on him with less complications."

"Do you mean I am unclean now?!"

Zoe drew in a deep breath. This time she stood up.

She was about to explain the procedure.

But to their surprise, Adrian's grandmother almost fell over if it wasn't for her hand that reached the table immediately. 

"Mother!" Lady Liu blurted out as she ran to her mother's side and held her up.

"W-where in the world did they come from?" 

She extended her hand as she pointed her finger at her.

Zoe and Erin froze as both of them glanced toward the two.

"Are they going to call the royal police now?" Erin whispered after gulping.

"I don't know. But just take a deep breath and act cool. We will get through this." 

Zoe whispered back in an encouraging tone.

"They will find out that we are fake and not really Terrans at this rate!" Erin grated on.

"It's okay. Lady Asha, we'll leave Adrian in your hands. Please give your best for my son. I'm counting on you."

Lady Liu calmed them before leaving with her aged mother.

Both Zoe and Erin breathed out a deep sigh of relief.

"Uh-oh. We better hurry before the royal soldiers come here. If that happens, we might see God in heaven first before he does!" 

"Ssh! He can still hear you. Needles. Syringes. Surgical gloves. Scalpels…. Wow, I have brought anesthesia? This is good!"

Zoe exclaimed as she brought out her medical kit from her Hebao.

"Really? Oh, handsome young man. We will do our best to help you live. So please hold on there for your family, okay?" 

Erin pressed his hand firmly. Adrian didn't respond. 

"Wash your hands. You're going to assist me."

"What? But I'm not a doctor or even a nurse!"

"In this land, you are."

Zoe responded as she put a clean cloth over Erin's head and mouth.

"Lady Asha, whatever happens, do not make me an accessory to your crime, alright?"

"Agreed."

She cleaned Adrian's forehead with the alcohol and injected anesthesia. 

"This will be the first surgery in the land of Terra. I wish I could take a video and give it to their historian."

Erin reacted as Zoe was now readying his forehead for operation. 

Zoe took in a lungful of air and narrowed her eyes on her. 

"From this time on, no matter what you see and hear, do not open your mouth."

Erin nodded and blinked her eyes. They were the only part of her face that could be seen with her improvised cap and mask.

Zoe started to open a hole in Adrian's head using all the equipment that she has. 

Erin shut her eyes as she can't bear to look at the horrendous scene. 

"Erin!" Zoe yelled at her. "The forceps!" 

"Y-yes, milady." Erin stuttered as she gave her the instrument that she was asking.

They were both focused on operating on Adrian when Raigon and Azra bulldozed into the door.

"W-what are you doing?!"

At the speed of light, Raigon ran to Zoe and swiftly grabbed the hand with the instrument and sweeped it away from Adrian.

But as he did so, Zoe went out of balance.

Raigon tried to catch him but they both fell to the ground.

Fearing the impact of the fall, Zoe's arms flew above Raigon's shoulder and wrapped them around his head as she held onto him.

Thud!

Zoe glanced at who her perpetrator is. And as she did so, a word came out of her lips.

"R-Raigon?!" Zoe uttered in between her mask.

Raigon was surprised that the quack physician, whom Adrian's grandmother just talked about, knew him.

He quickly removed her mask to see who she was.

His eyes widened as he saw her.

"I-it is you!"

Zoe gulped. 'Can he recognize me now?'

Both froze for a few seconds in that position.

Zoe's lips unconsciously curved up as she remembered the first time that they met again was also in this way.

As Raigon saw her lovely smile, he couldn't help but be fuzzy inside. 

His heart banged wildly against his chest as he stared at her serene face which is gazing also at him right now.

He forgot the reason why he was here in the first place.

"H-have we met before?" He asked as he furrowed his brows.

He knew he has seen her at the Capital. But it seemed like he knew her for a very long time.

Raigon's question woke up Zoe.

She struggled to stand up as she yelled. "Get off me!"

Raigon assisted her to stand up. 

Zoe immediately glanced at Erin who was being held captive by Azra.

"Let me go!" Erin screamed. 

At first Azra was not removing his hands on her.

Erin was also wearing a mask so he didn't recognize her.

But when he saw Zoe, his hands loosen his grip but he was still holding on to her.

"Erin?" Azra whispered to her ear.

"Yeah, what do you think you're doing just now?" 

Erin said in a hush tone as she tilted her head and looked up to see Azra's face.

Azra's head was so near hers that they almost kissed as she did so if it wasn't for the mask that Erin was wearing.

Azra was taken aback . 

He quickly removed his arms as he realized that he was hugging Erin from behind as he held her hands firmly.

"What is going on?!" All four chorused together.
