111 BE MY FIANCE

"Fiance?!" Savannah shrieked in shock at Raigon's revelation.

Every mouth threw open at his remarks. Including Zoe.

"Fiance?" She uttered under his breath behind Raigon's back.

She knew Raigon was just helping her out. 

'But doesn't it seem too much?'

At the same time that she thought about that, she was reminded of all the times that Raigon reacted recklessly whenever she was in danger. 

'Is he also being provoked now?'

She peeked at him from behind but she couldn't see from behind his colossal back. 

She could only see his clenched jaw and his bulging veins on his arm.

Raigon acted as if he didn't hear her as he continued on.

"Y-you don't know anything about her Mr. Gao. She was… She was…"

Raigon cut him in. 

"I believe you don't have to bring that up anymore. Yes, I know about her unfortunate past. I also know how she stood up from her feet to be the doctor that she is now. She is strong and brave and cares a lot about others, which is what I love so much about her."

He gazed at her lovingly and pulled up her hand, which was in between his, and kissed it in front of everybody.

Zoe was shocked at what Raigon is doing but her words warm her heart that she smiled unconsciously.

Everybody giggled and cheered the confessing couple in front of them.

"Oh my gosh. This is the best love story ever. I'm so happy for you and Mr. Gao, Zoe!" 

Kristie shouted in between her cupped hands.

"Me too!" Nella commented also. 

"As much as I deny it, you really look good together from the start."

Zoe looked at everybody and gulped. 

'What exactly is going on?'

She peeked at Erin who was also as dumbfounded as she was. 

"Let's talk later."

Erin motioned with her mouth. 

Zoe seemed to be awakened from the shocking news as she waved her hands in the air. "Wait!"

Raigon faced her and smiled. He whispered as he drew his face towards her. 

"Why? Don't you want to be mine?" 

He put his arm around her shoulder and spoke in a deep husky voice.

"I still feel the sweet taste of your lips in my mouth." 

Zoe's hands flew to her mouth that dropped wide open. 

"It wasn't a dream?!"

Zoe wanted to run and hide under the sand from embarrassment. 

But as soon as her feet started to scurry, Raigon pressed his hand firmly to hers.

He talked to Savannah again. 

"So I hope we won't hear the word 'penniless orphan' and 'Zoe Cheng' in the same sentence anymore. And about Anika... you can cut your friendship with her now."

As Zoe heard the word Anika, she went back to reality again. 

Without letting go of Raigon's hands, she went forward from behind him and confronted Savannah.

"Yes, because I will be her son's sponsor from now on."

Raigon gave her a proud smile. "You heard my queen."

Savannah was speechless at Raigon's last words that she walked out of the area.

"All right, all right," Erin clapped her hands. "This seemed to call for a break."

"Let's fill our hungry guts first before we continue on with our challenge, shall we?"

Everybody walked to Koby's mini-store.

However, Zoe dragged Raigon to the opposite side of the beach.

"What did you just say?!"

Zoe rant on with her hands on her waist.

"I'm sorry my proposal was too abrupt. Don't worry, I'll do it again at a better time and place."

Raigon joked around.

"No, you're not getting it. Why are you doing this?"

"Because I want to marry you."

Raigon answered in a serious tone.

Zoe was dumbfounded. 

'I couldn't believe this man. He hasn't even told me his feelings for me and now he's offering marriage!'

She narrowed her eyes at Raigon.

'The Raigon that he knows is very cautious and prudent in making decisions except when he is angry. But I don't think it is the case now. Something must have happened in Terra.'

"You want to run away with me, don't you?"

She tried to guess. She knew she would not get anything from him if he decided to be secretive about something.

"No, I want you to run away with me."

'The boldness of this man!'

But she pondered on what he said. 

'I want to be with him too. And it won't happen unless I go to his territory. He must be growing on me.' 

"Still, what about my plans to be a chairwoman of my own hospital? It is the reason why I'm working hard all these years." 

Zoe contemplated out loud.

"I'm not forcing you to. As I said, I will wait for your answer. We're still in the half of the game."

Raigon said gently as he gazed at her with adoration.

While they were walking, Erin walked towards them.

"Excuse me, can I have a word with Zoe?"

She smiled at Raigon.

Raigon bowed at her and walked away.

As soon as he was a meter distance from them, Erin hit Zoe with her palm.

"Ouch!"

Zoe yelped in pain.

But after that, Erin made it up with her by offering her a bottle of water.

"What are you not telling me? What is all that?"

Erin screeched on.

"What do you think about it?" 

Zoe swayed to her sides after she took a drink.

"Well, marriage is a serious thing. You don't have to rush things through. Unless you have to."

Erin rubbed her chin.

Zoe glanced back at Raigon who was now with Kristie and the rest of the Norfolks.

"Is it because he was being obliged to get married?'

"Are you pregnant?!" 

Erin blurted out which made Zoe spit her drink.

"What? Are you serious? We just met!"

"Oh, I thought you knew him from a long time ago."

"Yes, I did." Zoe heaved out a deep sigh. "It's a long story."

"I see. But do you think Red is serious when he says that?"

She continued to ponder out loud.

"I think so."

"I guess it's okay. But take me with you."

Zoe spitted out her drink the second time. And this time, it landed on Erin.
