103 THE GREATEST POSER
"All right. Our next challenge is not that physically exhausting, which is great for our dear Zoe."
Erin started on her orientation.
"This is a mental and social challenge in which you must have a good analysis and relationship skills in order to win this round. The winner's tribe will gain two points for this round. He or she will also receive immunity for the next tribal council, which will happen after this."
"Oh no…."
The Norfolks muttered. They know the meaning of the tribal council. The losing team must vote off one of their tribemates.
If they lose, they will automatically go to the council. They already lose one castaway. And they can't afford to lose another.
If one of them won, they would tie-up with the Tasmans. Both of the tribes would have to do another challenge to see who will have to go there.
She continued to rant on.
"This will be no ordinary council because as you know, we don't have a lot of time on hand like the regular Survivor. Therefore, five members of the losing team will be voted out at once."
"For real?" They all shouted in disbelief.
Different thoughts were going on in their minds.
"I can't be voted off. I have to be the Survivor Queen and win the cash award for my family," Nella resolved to herself.
There are a lot of sponsors for this challenge and they were able to earn $100,000 as a prize for the winning castaway.
There were three different categories of prizes in which they could choose from. And one of them interested Clay.
"I have to be the Survivor King. If I won the one month stay at Lord Howe Island Grand Hotel for free, I would be able to escape the rumors about me without additional stories confirming that they were true."
Aside from his family issues, he was also allegedly in the blind items as a son of a conglomerate involved in a serial murder case.
Kristie also is eyeing for the Grand Prize.
"I wish I could be the Survivor Queen. I haven't gotten any accomplishment in my entire life. This may be the last chance that I can be so."
Savannah's friends also have their own.
Zoe sensed all these that's why she took it to heart that their tribe must win.
While they were contemplating the events that will unfold, Koby handed out pens and papers to them.
"Here are the questionnaires. Please fill this out in private."
Zoe got her copy and checked it out as she answered them.
There are random questions such as "who smells worst" "who is the biggest poser".
"You're really clever, Erin." Zoe couldn't help but be amused at the ideas of her friend.
"Remind me to get you as an event organizer for my kid's birthday," Clay shouted out to her.
"Sure!" Erin chuckled.
After filling them out, Erin continued on with her orientation.
"Our next game is called Face-Off. Each of you must fill that out. The results will be tallied and the challenge begins. When I pose the question, you should guess whose name was written most often. Whoever got the question right would strike against another castaway."
"So we're gonna hit anyone we want to?" Savannah asked in glee.
"Of course not!" Erin rolled her eyes.
"If you got it right, you have the authority to chop off a rope attached to our battering ram right over here. It will hit the castaway's representative doll. After three strikes, the doll would be destroyed, eliminating that player from the challenge."
"Oh! It's not that fun as hitting them physically. But it's okay. You can still punch their doppelganger. I love the idea!" Savannah commented on.
"All right! For our first question, who is the most honest?"
"Mr. Gao should be included as a castaway," Kristie thought out loud.
At the mention of his name, Zoe glanced at the ends of the beach.
'I hope everything is alright.'
As much as she wanted to go after him and the new revelations she has found, she wanted to win this game too, for her new friends, and for herself.
'Maybe they could wait.'
The game goes on. Even if both the teams were losing a member one by one, they were having fun.
They found out how they view each other.
"Savannah! Who do you think is the greatest poser?"
"Oh my gosh, is that even a question. Of course, it's Zoe!"
"You're wrong. Next -"
"Wait! Did you really tally the score? You could have just made that up!"
"Are you implying that Mr. Qigang and Mr. Fu are cheating, Savannah? Because they are the ones that counted that," Erin retaliated.
Mr. Qigang and Mr. Fu who were also present during the game glared at Savannah.
"No, I was just asking."
"Do you really want to know who tallied the most as the greatest poser? Just stay and watch. Next, Lily!" Erin asked with an evil smile.
Lily was also one of Savannah's friends who were in the Norfolks.
"Yes, mam!"
"Who do you think is the greatest poser in this challenge?"
"I'll make it up with you later, I promise! My answer is Savannah."
"You're right! You can cut the rope now!"
"What?!" Savannah grabbed the copy from Erin and checked if what she said was true.
Almost all of the twenty participants voted for her name.
"Are you all toying with me?!" She snarled at everybody and walked out of the area.
"Come on, Savannah. It's all in the name of fun. I'm sure nobody meant to insult you. Next, Clay!" Erin commented nonchalantly.
"That's harsh, Lily. I didn't expect that!" Kristie chided on Nella.
"What you sow, you will reap," Lily whispered to Kristie who giggled as she saw Savannah scowling in a corner.
"It serves her right!".
"Clay! Who do you think is the least likely to do anything in the tribe?"
"Sorry, man. I want to win this," he shouted out to the Tasmans. "It's Enzo!"
"You're right! You can cut the rope now."
"Seriously? This was my third strike!"
Enzo grunted, but he waved his hand to show his sportsmanship before he left the challenge area.
"It's okay. They're just envious of you, that's why they want you out."
Savannah cheered him up as they were both the first ones to be ousted.
"Thank you," Enzo grinned at her which made Savannah's heart cool down in the heat of her anger.
