100 REWIND 2
Young Zoe remained seated inside the secret chamber and stared at the vase in her hands.
"This looks very ancient. I'm lucky I didn't break it."
She uttered as she placed the vase back to where it was previously situated.
"Wait. This looks familiar." She stopped as she observed it again.
She gazed at its intricate details and she was right. It was a Chinese cloisonné enamelware!
It has a strikingly colorful and sparkling hard surface.
It also has a translucent depth that looks unusual compared to simply painted ceramics or lacquerware.
She remembered this vividly because she was astounded by its beauty when she went to a museum on their field trip.
"But it was from Han Dynasty. How would it be here? And the people here looked like from that time also,"
She thought about the appearance of the young man and his bodyguard as she put it back.
Young Zoe glanced around.
"Am I accidentally time-warped into the Han Era or something? Everything was prehistoric and I couldn't find any trace of modern furniture."
There were tons of upper garments, skirts, and sashes in different fabrics, styles, and colors hanging on all sides.
On the right side was a rack full of headwear and ornaments in diverse sizes.
On another side was a rack with dozens of luxurious shoes.
"Or perhaps is this a shooting of a drama series on this remote island? Maybe that young man was a celebrity here!"
In the middle was a large oval-shaped mirror framed with the gold design embedded with cut pieces of agate, rubies, diamonds, garnets, gold, and enamel.
In front of it were a Chinese rosewood flower carving square table and chair set.
"What a beautiful mirror..."
She sat on the chair and looked at herself. She put her palms on her face and felt their warmth.
She brushed her disheveled hair to her sides and smoothed out her dress.
"Nothing's changed with me. But where exactly am I?"
She glanced again at the most lavish dressing room she has ever seen.
She sat back on the chair and contemplated the recent events that just happened.
"The bodyguard of the young man came to inform him that foreigners have set foot on the land. It seemed to be a serious matter as these foreign people were looking for their 'treasure'."
"Supposing I am not reincarnated to a different time and I got lucky to be alive, then my family could be also here. And they would be in big trouble!"
She ruminated as she flipped on some of the clothes hanging on one side of the room hoping to see a way out.
The front door's a no-no with all the guards parading to and fro.
As she did so, a flash of light suddenly caught her eye. "What was that?"
At the back of the tons of clothes was another exit door.
She peeked closely and saw a slight opening from a piece of fabric that walls it.
"Is this another way out?"
Young Zoe's eyes widened in hope as she got a good view of it.
"I have no time to lose. They might mistake my family as treasure hunters. We must get out of here before war broke out!"
She peeped into the hole and saw a fence guarding the tent with giant trees outside of it.
There are no soldiers or people roaming around that spot.
"This is my chance!"
She was about to bolt out when she remembered the young man's words.
"I'll be back. Wait for me."
"Will I really wait for him?" She contemplated as she stopped in her tracks.
"But I don't even know him."
She wished she had asked his name. But she has no time to lose.
Her family is in danger and she needs to let them know.
"I'm sorry, young man. But I don't know when I will have the right timing such as this again."
She bid him farewell before peeking again at the narrow hole in between the curtains.
She needed to make sure that the scene was clear before she sneaked out.
Finally, she had the peace that the place was serene.
"The trees won't budge even if they noticed a slender lady like me fleeing out!"
She took a deep breath, opened up the curtain, and ran with all her might.
"Stop!"
Zoe froze on her tracks.
Her skin went clammy and cold as her heart wanted to jump out of her chest.
'Will I continue to run away? But they might kill me! I need to make a decision NOW.'
Young Zoe could almost hear the beat of her heart pounding so loudly as if it was a ticking clock in her ears.
"Stop this instance!" They reiterated.
She looked back and saw three soldiers like the one that the "bodyguard" a while ago was wearing.
This time they were holding spears that were pointing at her.
They seem perplexed as they looked at her appearance from top to bottom.
"W-who are you?" One of them managed to ask.
She grabbed her dress and was about to run again when she noticed her appearance as well.
She remembered that she was very different from them.
'I am so modern,' she uttered to herself.
Her tall and slender body frame was covered by a long flowing silhouette of lightweight mint green fabric.
It has a V-neck line with thin spaghetti straps adorned with large peach flowers with dark green leaves.
Its length was just above the ankle showing her smooth and soft bare feet.
'Would they think that I am one of those foreigners from outside the land?!"
She looked up and back at them. She was expecting anger and evil ideas on how to torture her in their eyes.
However, they were of different expressions. Bewilderment was in their face and horror was in their eyes as they stared at her face.
'Do I look like a witch to them? Was it my naturally brown wavy hair? All of them seem to have black hair. Or was it my blue eyes?!'
'The young man has blue eyes!'
The soldiers froze as if they were hypnotized by the spell of this mysterious lady.
"I-I'm your Crowned Princess." She blurted out in a dignified poise.
