Vol 1: Ch 26 - Rei got shocked and surprised
The family enjoys chatting with each other while Rei is busy opening the gate with her keys, the dog also barking and wagging their tails because someone they love just arrives.
"Shhh.... quiet Mumu, Yuyu, and Lulu. Is Mama awake?"
"Aww...Aww...Aww." barking as if saying yes while clinging and hugging Rei.
"Go back now and sleep" the dogs followed right away.
Rei entering the terrace, wearing off her shoe, and put her shoe on the top of the shoe rack. Luckily the family guests who have just arrived forgot to wear off their shoes and sandal or else they will already be doomed. Rei opens the door using her key and said what she always says when she arrived.
"Ma, I'm home."
"..."
"Ma?"
"....."
"Eh, weird? Maybe Mama is inside in the prayer room or study room?" then approach the door where the study room is and press the intercom from the wall near the door of the study room.
"Ma, I'm home. Are you in the study room, prayer room, or in your room?"
Inside the room, everyone is busy talking and chatting including the kids since they got asked by their Auntie, Uncle, and Grandma. Because they were busy, they never notice the time and it's already past twelve and even the bark from the dogs they didn't hear since it's soundproof inside the study room until they got startled when they heard a familiar voice from the intercom and the voice which they miss the most including Aya even though Rei is always with her but she still miss her that much because she had an instinct that she will be away for long and she's right, her maternal instinct is always right. And then the kids are excited enough and almost running to open the door in order to greet and to hug for the first time with their Auntie but got stop by Aya, their grandma.
"It's Auntie Rei," said the kids excitedly while running to the door but got stopped.
"Please wait a moment and have a minute kids, just endure it for a while and you want Auntie to be surprised, right?"
"Oh.... that's right we almost forgot"
"All of you can sit down first and wait for the time, okay?"
"Yes Grandma/Mama Grand"
Press the intercom and said calmly. "Welcome back Rei, I'm inside in the study room"
"Oh, did you just got out of the prayer room?"
"We got out from the prayer room and now we're in the study room discussing something" Aya didn't lie and telling the truth but not revealing who are they.
"We? You have a guest Ma?"
"Yeah"
"Have you eaten your lunch and how about the guest?"
"We didn't realize that it's already lunchtime"
"You must have a good chat for not realizing the time, by the way, Ma, how many are you there? Are they bringing their kids, if it's yes, how many kids are there?"
"Including me and you 10, 6 adults and 4 kids"
"Alright, I will go change first and then prepare the foods."
"....." didn't answer because she asks them and didn't press the intercom.
"Mei, did we close the door in the room?" Mei didn't answer because she wasn't sure but Lyn answered instead of her.
"Yes Ma, our room and Mei's room door got close but you didn't lock it but I guess you lock Sis Rei's room."
"Thank goodness, and it's alright."
"Ma?"
"Ah, yes I talk to our guest for a while so I didn't reply to you right away. Go ahead and change first then inform me if the foods are ready, okay?"
"Okay. Ah, by the way, Ma do your guests prefer soda or water?"
"Orange soda for me and black soda for them"
"Okay"
Rei walks away and goes to her room without noticing anything since the two doors of her brother and sister's rooms remain close. After changing she got down right away and now standing in the kitchen area, she cooks the rice first then she opens one of the refrigerators and gets something for her to cook. After 45 minutes pass, the foods are already set on the dining table and Rei already setting the table with 10 plates, forks, spoons, and glass. In the center, she put the rice, the fried chicken, chicken soup, pork steak, 2 Liters of Orange Soda, and Black Soda then a pitcher of cold water. After checking it twice, she goes near the study room, presses the intercom, and informing her mother.
"Ma, foods are ready"
Then again Rei's voice startled everyone inside the room and all of them except Aya wondered that how Rei did it alone and it just only takes 45 minutes for her to prepare.
"We're coming Rei"
"Then I will go first in the dining area."
"Go ahead, Rei."
"Okay, Ma."
Everyone standing up and already done discussing or what we called chatting. Aya even explains that she forgot that their study room has an intercom that also connected to the rooms except to the guest room and also told that when you're inside in this you can't hear anything even the dogs bark if the door is close since it's designed for soundproof and fire proof-based, only you can hear the sounds of doorbell if someone's around near the living room. If someone tries to trespass, an alarm will sound to activate the security devices but it never been active after installing it since no one can tell because they taught it's just a simple one-story house.
Meanwhile, Rei just seating one of the dining chairs in the dining area and waiting for Aya, her Mother, and the said guests of her mother without knowing it's only their family members. Since Rei is facing back on the way from the study room to the dining area, she didn't notice the four kids suddenly hugging her and said together.
"Auntie Rei" calling her while hugging
Meanwhile, Rei just has a surprised and shocked expression that causes her to silent for a while then react very late and then recognize them right away from right to left.
".....Woah, Ren, Ken, Ellyn and Lynel"
"Geez Auntie Rei, you're no fun at all"
"Don't tell me you're still teasing Bro En, Bro El, and Lyn until this time?"
"Uh----uh"
Rei then realized that it's not a dream and pinch her cheeks which causes everyone to be surprised by her reactions.
"What the... I'm not really dreaming huh, and since when did you arrive?"
"Geez Auntie Rei we're hugging you, so it's not a dream. See we're hugging you" retort by Ren
"Ha, ha, Ren you just like your Mom"
"Now, now let's eat first before the foods will get cold and you're dallying will never get cold as long as whatever you want."
"Yes Ma/Grandma/Mama Grand"
