Chapter 65 - Saving Nattie.

Angelo's P.O.V.

"How long is this gonna take, Angelo? my sister's life is on the f*****g line here"

"She's my sister too, you know"

"If you say so"

I narrow my eyes at Christian as I feel my already bubbling anger about to explode.

"Don't f*****g push me, Christian, I've been putting up with your bullshit for two f*****g weeks and I'm just about at the end of my f*****g rope"

"Oh shut up Angelo, you're not gonna do diddly squat to me"

He said whilst crossing his arms over his chest and looking annoyed.

"Oh really? and what makes you so sure?"

"Because I'm a royal hybrid, idiot, you can't take one of us on unless you've got a death wish"

He said in a bored tone.

"Shut up Christian will you, you sound like a jealous little brat"

Nathan said sounding frustrated, I guess I'm not the only one he's pissing off.

"Pfft, jealous?...jealous of what?"

"Of how close he is with Nattie?"

Christian didn't respond and from the look on his face, I knew that Nathan must be telling the truth.

"Enough you lot...we're not here for your petty squabbles, we're here to save Natalia"

King Koa growls instantly shutting everyone up.

"Angelo, what's taking your friend so long?"

"I don't know, he said he'd be here by now...maybe he's just got caught up with something"

"Or he's not coming"

"SHUT UP, CHRISTIAN!!"

King Koa and Nathan growl in unison out of both anger and annoyance.

"Calm down all of you, Dalton said he'd be here and I believe him"

Either that or I've been hallucinating our entire communication these past two weeks and I've just walked us all into a bluddy death trap.

"You mean the same Dalton who you believed was dead up until two weeks ago?"

"Yer"

I sighed hoping Dalton shows up soon before I end up killing this idiot.

"So, we're relying on a supposedly back from the dead guy to help save my sister?....you know you really should lay off the green Angelo, it's starting to mess with your head"

"For god's sake Christian..."

"Psst, Angelo"

Nathan was interrupted by a voice.

We all looked around but couldn't see anybody even with our werewolf night vision.

"Angelo"

"Dalton"

Oh my god, this is real, this is really real, oh my god.

"Dalton...Dalton, where are you?"

"I'm here"

I turn around when I hear a familiar voice and an array of different emotions hit me like a ton of bricks when I saw the biggest blast from my past.

"Dalton"

"Hello brother"

I smile as I give him a bro hug which he happily accepted.

"I've missed you, D"

"I've missed you too, brother...or should I say brother in law"

My body stiffened as my wolf Ryder started to taunt me.

"Ha, ha Angelo, Nattie snitched on you"

"Shut up, Ryder"

Urgh!!.

Trust my baby sister to land me in the shit with my best friend as I'm trying to save her ass.

"Erm yer, about that..."

"Don't worry Angelo, I'm not mad at you"

"You're not?"

I asked shocked.

He shook his head whilst smiling.

"We can't help who the moon goddess pairs us up with, Angelo and to be honest there's nobody I trust more with my sister than you"

"Thanks, D...I can't believe you're alive"

It was a devastating day for our pack when we lost our beta family, Emily was completely heartbroken and her whole life changed dramatically because of that day.

"Yer, you should have seen Natties reaction when she first saw me, she completely freaked out"

He said with a slight chuckle whilst scratching the back of his neck.

"How is Nattie?"

Daltons face dropped at my question and his smile instantly disappeared.

"Tell me, Dalton...how is she?"

Dalton looks uncomfortable and nervous, he's balancing from one foot to the other and he's put his hands in his jeans pockets.

"She's in a bad way, Angelo"

"What do you mean?"

My heart was in my throat and my fists were tightly clenched, that f*****g bastard had better not have laid a f*****g finger on my sister or so help me god.

"Well, emotionally she's all over the place, she's trying to stay strong but it's hard especially when she thinks of Cole"

f**k.

I ran my hands through my hair in frustration and anger.

"Does she know about him?"

I growled through gritted teeth.

"Unfortunately...the day it happened, Mason came home with Coles blood all over him and gloated to Natalia about how he'd killed him"

I closed my eyes tightly as I let out an angry sigh.

"That bastard"

I growled.

My poor baby sister.

"I know, he's always taunting her about it"

"Sounds like Mason"

King Koa scoffed as we snapped our heads to him.

"Who are you?"

Dalton asks confused which is shocking seeing as he should be able to sense the power radiating off him.

"Erm Dalton, this is King Koa, he's Mason's brother and Natalia's biological father"

Dalton looks at King Koa shocked as well as mortified, he probably feels bad for either not recognising royalty or for speaking to him in such a manner even if he didn't sound rude.

"Your highness, it's a pleasure to meet you"

"Likewise son"

The two men shake hands.

"So tell me, Dalton, how is my daughter?...I mean physically"

"I honestly don't know sir, Nattie refuses to tell me anything even when I see marks and bruises on her"

"What type of marks and bruises?"

"Well..."

He says whilst nervously looking between myself and king Koa.

"The most prominent one is on her face, she's got a big bruise on the side of her face and her lip, cheek and eyebrow have been busted open"

"WHAT?"

We all growled angrily.

"How the hell did this happen?"

"And how isn't she healing?"

Dalton looked at all of us looking panicked and slightly scared.

"I don't know how it happened, I swear, I've been trying to find out ever since I first saw her like that but she refuses to tell me, alls she says is it's best you don't know"

"She may be right"

King Koa says.

"Why isn't she healing, D?"

Dalton sighs as he runs a hand through his hair.

"I honestly don't know...Nattie said that Masons been giving her something ever since he brought her here so she can't heal, mind link or use any of her powers but I don't know what it is"

"It'll be his special elixir"

"His what?"

I asked king Koa confused.

"Mason likes to think of himself as a sort of scientist and for years he's been bragging to anybody who'll listen about how he's created the perfect elixir which is supposedly ten times as strong as your average date rape drug"

"I beg your pardon"

I look at Dalton who looks just as shocked as me.

"He hasn't...has he?"

"No, definitely not, I mean he's tried but I don't think he's succeeded"

"What do you mean he tried?"

I growled as Dalton sighs again.

"After he came back from trying to kill Brody, he was livid and he tried to rape Nattie but luckily some of the warriors managed to stop him"

"Why would his own warriors stop him?"

Nate asked confused.

"Because he made his warriors vow to protect Natalia at all costs even from him"

"And you don't think he's actually....you know"

Dalton shakes his head no.

"I doubt it, Nattie was beyond heartbroken when she heard of Coles death, she screamed the entire mansion down when he told her"

My poor sister.

"If Mason had succeeded in raping Nattie then she'd be a completely broken woman and I mean to the point of not speaking, not eating, not sleeping etc"

"Maybe not, she's a strong girl our Natalia, she knows how to hide her emotions to make it seem like she's ok when she's not"

"Well, that's how she's been dealing with the loss of Cole, maybe she'd have a different reaction if she was forcefully mated"

Everyone was silent after that as we processed all of this new information.

We knew there was a high chance that Nattie would be harmed mentally, physically, emotionally and potentially sexually because Mason is unhinged and wouldn't think twice about hurting her but we always hoped and prayed to the moon goddess that he wouldn't.

"I'm sorry...can we go and save Nattie now?"

Christian being his usual dickish and impatient self asks.

"Who the hell are you?"

"I'm Natalias brother"

Christian says all smug.

"Ahhh, the infamous Christian"

"Nattie told you about me"

He was once again smug as he looked over at me, asshole.

"He needs to grow up"

"You don't need to tell me that, Ry"

"Actually no, I know you by your reputation, you're the impulsive hot head prince who acts before he thinks"

Christians smirk dropped and I had to try really hard to suppress my own smirk as everyone else chuckled.

"And guess what? he's mated to another impulsive hot head"

Dalton was confused at first until he realised what I meant, his eyes widened as he looked at Christian with shock and a little bit of sympathy.

"You're mated to Destiny Bennett...I'm sorry man"

I chuckled but Christian wasn't so amused.

"Why are you apologising? Destinys amazing"

"Oh I know, I'm just apologising because if I remember Destiny right then she's the feisty tomboy who loves to beat guys up for sport and pull pranks on people"

Christian looks shocked probably because Dalton has just described my cousin perfectly.

"What's her speciality?"

Dalton asks looking at me but I didn't get a chance to answer.

"Weapons, of course, D"

Speak of the devil and she will appear.

"Dalton Thomas, back from the dead"

"Hey Dest"

The pair embrace each other in a hug as Christian growled, I'd say he's an idiot because these two are family and wouldn't think of each other like that but I'd have to call myself an idiot as well if I did because I've growled when Emily has hugged other males as well including Cole and my father.

"How's Dean?"

Destinys smile drops and her body stiffens.

"Sore subject, brother"

Dalton looks between both myself and Destiny before realisation hits him and he closes his eyes whilst clenching his jaw, he then opens his eyes and looks between both of us once again.

"I'm sorry, guys"

"Thanks"

Destiny didn't say anything which is understandable.

"So, how are we gonna save my baby cousin? I assume you've got a plan for us Dalton"

Destiny said after she'd put her walls back up and put on her strong, cocky facade.

Dalton also put on his strong front as he walked over to the tree next to me.

"Of course I have Dest, I was supposed to be beta remember, my father started me off young with many things including how to defeat your enemy, that was my dad's speciality"

He opens up what looks like a blueprint and places it on the ground.

"This is the blueprint for Mason's mansion"

"How did you get this?"

Nathan asks.

"It wasn't hard, Mason left it in his safe and the combination was Natalias birthday"

"Idiot"

I muttered whilst facepalming.

If you're gonna hatch an evil plan to kidnap, mate and marry the princess of all supernaturals and you don't want anybody to discover all of your diabolical plots and plans, it's probably not the best idea to use the most obvious thing or person as your password or safe combination.

"Anyway, I've marked areas on here that are irrelevant mainly because they're rooms that aren't used or barely used, this area here is where Natalia is, Mason's been keeping her locked up on his floor in his bedroom, he doesn't let her go anywhere unless she's with him"

Dalton continues to tell us everything he knows about the house and the best possible ways for us to get in and save Nattie.

"How many people in total are here?"

"Altogether around....two-fifty that includes Mason and Nattie as well as me, my parents and my mate"

"Your parents?"

I asked shocked.

"Yer, they're alive too"

Dalton said with a huge smile whilst looking at me and I couldn't help but smile back, I also had to suppress my tears which were threatening to break from happiness, my auntie and uncle are alive.

"Get yourself together Angelo, we can be happy later on but as for right now we need to focus on getting Nattie back safe and sound"

"You're right"

I took a deep breath in and out and composed myself.

"Please tell me there's a lot more of you?"

Dalton asks with slight panic in his tone thinking that it's just us that are here to save Natalia but little does he know that these entire woods are covered with wolves ready to protect their princess.

"Oh there is D, we've brought warriors from both the Dark Shadows pack and the Royal pack"

"Great, we're gonna need..."

"We'll carry on, we'll carry on and though you're dead and gone, believe me, your memory will carry on, we'll carry on and in my heart, I can't contain it, the anthem won't explain it..."

Dalton apologises as he fishes his phone out of his pocket.

Nathan and Christian both groaned in annoyance and I gave them a glare, they need to learn how to be f*****g patient and not be so damn rude.

"Hey, baby, what's up...WHAT? f**k!!"

He growled causing everyone to either be worried, confused or both.

"f**k, f**k, SHIT!!...is she ok?"

Dalton dropped his head but I didn't miss the tears that were falling down his face before he did.

"Ok baby, listen to me carefully, ok"

Dalton says as he sniffs up and takes a deep breath whilst looking down at the blueprint.

"There's a panic room in Mason's closet, I need you and momma to take Nattie and lock yourselves in there....nobody will be able to get in Taylor that's the whole point of a panic room only you and momma have the ability to open the doors....I know baby but you need to remember who you are and what you were taught ok, now...Mason's got tons of supplies in there including a first aid kit, I need you to do everything you possibly can to help Nattie and make sure she stays alive until we can get to you and take her to the pack doctors back in Dark Shadows....ok baby thank you and whatever you do, DO NOT open that door until I say so, do you understand me?...good girl, I love you....bye, bye"

"Who was that? what's going on?"

Destiny asks whilst trying to sound all stoic and nonchalant but she couldn't fool me, I know she's worried.

"That was my mate Taylor, she's the pack doctor and she was called by a warrior to Mason's room to treat Nattie"

Dalton said through gritted teeth as we all looked at him angrily, our anger wasn't aimed at him but at Mason.

"What did he do to my baby?"

Dalton looked over at king Koa and they shared a very intense eye contact.

"I'm sorry....I'm sorry I failed to protect her"

Daltons voice was shaky.

"What happened, D?"

My heartbeat was racing really fast, he'd better not say what I think he's gonna say.

"Masons beat Natalia up...Taylor said she was barely breathing when she got there"

"f**k!!"

I growled angrily as I punched the tree next to me.

"Calm down Angelo, NOW!!"

Destiny growled and I glared at her.

"He's hurt my sister Dest, I'm gonna f*****g kill him"

I turned around and attempted to walk in the direction of the assholes mansion but was stopped by my cousin.

"Oh no you don't"

She grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me back.

"Let me go, Destiny"

I tried to get her off me but she clung to me like a damn koala bear.

"No, I won't"

"Destiny, I'm warning you"

I glared down at her and she matched it with her own glare.

"And I'm warning you, Angelo...Nattie is safe for now she's with a doctor and if I know my cousin like I do then she'll be fine because she's a strong bitch....but right now, we need to focus on fighting and getting her out of there before it really is too late"

I looked at my cousin as I fought an inner battle to either go after Mason and tear him limb from limb or to do the right thing and fight.

I sighed closing my eyes as I realised what I have to do.

"You made a promise to Cole, Angelo...it's time we make good on that promise"

"You're right"

I take a deep breath before looking over at king Koa.

"What's the plan?"

King Koa smirked as he started to relay his plans to us, it was a perfect plan and I was confident that we'd be highly successful at not only capturing Mason but saving Nattie and doing all of this without losing a single body, well, at least not on our side anyway.

"We need to be careful and fast, I wanna get in and out, do you all understand?"

"Yes"

Everyone said.

"Good, now let's go"

Taylor's P.O.V.

"Is she gonna be ok, Taylor?"

My mother in law asks as I treat Natalias wounds.

"I don't know, he's beat her up pretty bad this time"

"This time? what do you mean by this time?"

Shit.

I quickly glanced up at my mother in law Jenna as I continue to treat Natalia.

"Well, Dalton told me that Mason has been beating Natalia up ever since she got here...he's been using her as his own personal punchbag"

"Oh my christ"

Jenna gasps as she places both of her hands over her mouth.

"Why isn't she healing?"

"I don't know, I think she's been given either wolfsbane or silver"

"But she's pregnant"

She said sounding panicked and I felt bad.

"Yer, I know"

I continue to treat Natalia and clean her up.

The bastard has really done a number on her this time, there isn't a part of her body that hasn't been marked or touched.

"Taylor, look at her arms"

I did what my mother in law said and I noticed that one of Natalias arms is scratched up and has got a few bruises and cuts whilst the other arm is completely black and blue and looks like it's broken in several places.

"What happened there?"

"You know the day I found out I was pregnant with Emily, rogues attacked the pack and before I could tell anyone I was pregnant, I went out to defend the pack, I was battling with a rogue who got the best off me and when I was on the ground he kicked at my stomach several times"

"No offence Jenna but what's that got to do with anything?"

Jenna sighed as she leaned down gently grabbing Natalias uninjured arm and placing it over her stomach.

"A woman will do anything to protect her pups, Taylor even if it means hurting herself"

She moved Nat's arm back and I carefully lifted her top up to see if there was any damage to her stomach which shockingly there isn't.

"OPEN UP!!"

"OPEN UP, DALTON SENT ME!!"

"How do I know that?"

I glance over at Jenna who looks confused.

"Jenna, are you ok?"

"I know that voice but I can't place it"

"OPEN UP, PLEASE!!, DALTON SENT ME TO SAVE NATTIE!!"

"NO!!"

I was adamant that I wasn't gonna open it.

Dalton told me not to open the door to anyone other than him and I was gonna follow his orders, his mother, on the hand, had other ideas.

"Open the door"

I snapped my head to her in shock.

"What? Jenna"

"Just do it, Taylor...I..I..I can't explain it but I feel like I can trust this person"

She looks up at me looking me dead in my eyes as her face turned serious.

"Open the door"

I look down at an unconscious Natalia feeling torn between listening to my mate or my mother in law, in the end, I decided to listen to Jenna trusting that she knew what she's doing.

I walk over to the door and punch in the passcode which is above the keypad, the door becomes slightly ajar before being violently yanked open.

A strange man comes in narrowing his eyes at Natalia, I had no clue who this man was but Jenna clearly did because she gasped as her eyes widened in shock as tears filled them.

"Oh my goddess"

"Hey auntie Jenna"

The man looks at Jenna and smiles.

"Come on, let's get out of here"

The man picks Natalia up bridal style and leaves with us following behind him.

"Jenna, who is that?"

Jenna smiles brightly as tears fall down her face.

"He's our knight in shining armour"

We follow the man out to a black hummer.

"Get in guys"

I was hesitant at first because I didn't know this man and I didn't feel comfortable with him even though Jenna looks right at home with him.

"Taylor, come on"

Jenna says as I look at the man who is radiating with so much power and intimidation, he's a royal or at least, I think he is if his aura is anything to go by.

I was hesitant at first because I didn't know or trust this guy and I didn't feel comfortable with him even though both Jenna and my wolf felt safe with him and even Natalia in her unconscious state looked comfortable in his arms.

"Who are you?...how do I know if I can trust you?"

The man looked me dead in my eyes and said something which had me dropping my walls slightly because a deceitful person wouldn't look somebody directly in the eye.

"I'm Dalton's brother, you can trust me...I'm not here to hurt you, auntie Jenna or Nattie, I'm here to save you"

"You can trust him, Tay, I promise"

My wolf said and I caved.

"Ok"

I get in the front passenger seat of the car as the mysterious man gets in the backseat with Natalia still in his arms.

I turned to look at them and didn't miss how affectionately he was looking at her as he gently caressed her face making sure he doesn't hurt her.

Who is this man?.

"Let's go NOW!!, we're running out of time"

The man growled and I quickly turned back in my seat, I felt a very strong need to bare my neck and submit to him, is he an alpha as well as a royal?.

"Yes sir"

The driver starts the car up and drives off as I pray to the moon goddess, I really hope I've just made the right decision.
