Chapter 56 - Cake By The Ocean.

Cole's P.O.V.

If I could describe the past twenty-four hours in a few short words then I'd describe it as the most amazing and magical experience of my entire life but the overall experience of the past few days would be best described as stressful and nerve-wracking.

For the past few days, myself along with my family, Nat's family and our friends have been working around the clock to pull off the perfect ceremony for my mate without her knowing that we were also planning our wedding, there were times that I thought our plans had been foiled by Natalia especially when she walked into my office and found me talking with both my dad and her dad but luckily she didn't find anything out.

I've also been feeling extremely nervous about proposing to Natalia because a small part of me thought that she'd say no even though Ace assured me she wouldn't, I still had my doubts and I can't even begin to describe the relief and happiness I felt when she said yes to marrying me.

This morning I woke up with the biggest smile on my face as I looked down at my beautiful naked wife who was fast asleep and cuddled up next to me, I lay watching her whilst caressing her hand which was resting on my chest where my heart is, actually, I was caressing her ring finger which has got her wedding and engagement ring on it as I thought about the most spectacular day and night of my life.

Yesterday morning I woke up feeling blessed and lucky that I was an alpha who had an amazing mate but I felt honoured and honestly believed I was the luckiest man alive when king Koa announced Nattie and I as husband and wife.

I remember looking down at my glowing mate in front of me with pride that the most beautiful and sexiest woman alive was now my Luna and wife.

The whole day was a perfect and blissful dream for the both of us and our wedding night was just as perfect, from the moment we arrived at the beach house late last night until very early in the morning the next day, we've been doing nothing but just having sex, we did it anywhere and everywhere and in every position possible.

As soon as Angelo told me what was going on, I immediately got up out of bed and threw on my white robe before going out onto the balcony to talk with him because I didn't want Natalia to wake up and overhear our conversation, we were talking for just over an hour and there were several times during our conversation that I thought we'd have to go back home to deal with what's going on but luckily for me, Angelo said that he'd deal with them and if he needed any help he'd consult with our dad, king Koa and alpha James who is still at the packhouse.

"Thanks Angelo, I owe you one"

I look out at the ocean as my brother makes jokes about how I can repay him for doing my alpha duties for me whilst I'm away with Nat, he even wanted me to let him loan him my most expensive and prized possession which is my red Ferrari 250 GTO, it's a classic car which I had always dreamed of owning ever since I was a kid and Angelo has been nagging me like some annoying old woman to borrow it ever since I was finally able to get my hands on one which is why he's using him helping me out as a way to get me to agree to let him use it, pfft, as if, it'll be over my dead body before I'll ever allow him to use my baby.

I turn around when I hear some noises coming from the bedroom and I saw that Nattie was waking up.

I hang up the call and look down at the photo I've got set as my wallpaper which is a picture of my beautiful wife from the last time we came to the beach house, it was the first time that we were able to be alone with each other and not have anybody disturb us, it also happened to be the very first time that I was able to see a carefree Natalia who was willing to just let her hair down like she didn't have any stresses or worries going on in her life.

Natalia's P.O.V.

"Mmm"

I smiled and got out of bed putting Coles black shirt on me but stopped midway through buttoning it when I heard him mutter something under his breath.

"I've gotta go, brother, let me know if you need us to come back ok....ok, bye"

Hmm, I wonder what Angelo wants? and why would Cole think that he needs us to come back home?.

I hope nothing bad has happened.

I get up from the bed and walk over to the balcony, I smiled brightly when I walked through the balcony doors and saw my husband looking sexy as f**k but he also looked stressed.

"Hey baby, did you have a nice sleep?"

"I did up until I woke up to an empty bed"

Cole closed his eyes and sighed, he then opened his eyes whilst opening his arms inviting me in for a hug.

I didn't hesitate and immediately embraced my husband wrapping my arms around his waist as he wrapped both of his arms around my shoulders and kissed my head.

We stayed like this in silence for a few minutes just enjoying the peace and quiet as well as each other's comfort but of course, I had to ruin it.

"What did Angelo want, babe?"

Cole stiffened and his grip on me tightened.

"Nothing babe, he just wanted to borrow my Ferrari, that's all"

He's lying to me.

I pull away slightly and look up at him.

"So, we don't have to go back home yet?"

He shook his head.

"Nope"

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Cole, is everything ok back at home?"

"Yes babe, why wouldn't it be?"

"Ok...then why would you ask Angelo to let you know if we need to come back if everything's ok?"

Cole was silent but I could see that he was clearly annoyed and frustrated.

"Because he's the acting alpha whilst we're gone babe, he's not trained to be an alpha he's trained to be a beta so I wanted to make sure that he knew he could call me and we would come home immediately if everything gets too overwhelming for him"

Hmm, that's a very good answer and maybe I'd buy it if I didn't know Angelo as well as I do but sadly for Cole, I know my brother better than anybody on this planet and I know that he's more than capable of being an alpha and doing alpha duties and not just because he's got alpha blood in him, it's because he's got everything in him to be an alpha just without the title, I'd even put Angelo up there with Cole, my adopted dad, my daddy and alpha James as being a great alpha even though he hasn't got an official title, that's how capable he is of running a whole pack.

I decided to let it go even despite the fact that I knew my beloved was lying to me and having this strong urge to press him for some more information because I didn't wanna fight with him, I just wanted to enjoy this rare and precious alone time with my husband whilst I can but I promise that I won't be letting it go as soon as we go back home.

I then narrowed my eyes from my handsome man to the beautiful scenery behind him, I really wanna slip on a bathing suit and go and relax on the beach maybe even take a dip in the beautiful, warm ocean.

"I was thinking about relaxing on the beach with my gorgeous husband, lord knows when we'll get to do this again"

"What do you mean?"

"Well..."

I started whilst gently running my fingers over Cole's exposed chest.

"When we go back home we'll have a whole pack to run and then there's all of this shit with Mason and Aubrey that we'll have to deal with and if we manage to get out of that alive then there's a high chance I'll get pregnant and if I know you like I do then you'll make sure I'm pregnant every year until I've given you all of the babies you desire"

Cole said as he gently caressed the back of my hand with his fingers.

"And...we may never get the chance to be alone again because we'll always have something or someone demanding our attention and..."

I looked up at him and saw that he was angry and annoyed but not with me, well, not fully.

"You are my number one priority Natalia, it doesn't matter if I'm an alpha, a father or both....at the end of the day, I won't be able to function unless I've made my wife and Luna happy, do you understand me?"

Cole caressed my cheeks as he placed his forehead onto mine.

Anyway, once we were ready and Cole was done filling up a cooler with food, drinks and snacks for us, we left for the beach hand in hand.

Cole leads us over to one of the beach beds which is like a four-poster bed with white drapes on all four sides as well as the ceiling of it and there's also side tables on either side of the bed.

"What do you want to do, mi amor? would you like to sunbathe first or go for a dip in the ocean"
