Authors Note - I Need To Rant??.

I'm sorry to all of you who thought this was an update and it's not, I just need to have a big f*****g rant and get a few things off my chest before I continue on with this book.

It really hurts my heart when I still get messages from readers who are all Team Brody and don't like how I made him gay, let's start off with Brody and Natalia first, they were never going to be a couple and I'm sorry for that but it was never part of my plan for them to be second chance mates or a couple, I always hated reading rejection books were the girl is rejected by her asshole manwhore mate who f***s anything with revolving doors for legs whilst she remains a virgin mate in waiting hoping that her manwhore mate will grow up and take her back so she can give her virginity to him and I wanted something different for Natalia and I wanted her to lose her virginity to someone who is worth it and even though Cole is now proving himself to be a stand-up human being, I felt Brody was more worthy than him and I don't regret that decision.

I also recently read a comment by someone who didn't understand why I made Brody care so much for Natalia just to turn him gay, first of all, it is possible for men to deeply care for women and there not be any romantic or sexual feelings involved and vice versa, Brody and Natalia are best friends even though they've only known each other for a short while, I know you all have probably got or had at least one friend who you met and almost instantly it was like you knew them your whole life, this is what it's like for them, I don't wanna say they're like brother and sister because it'll spark the whole incest shit again even though they're not related, all I can say is Brody and Natalia are very special to each other and care deeply for each other.

As for Brody being gay, the way I've always envisioned the moon goddess to be is that she gives werewolves a gentle nudge to their destiny through their mates whether that be a woman and a man, two men or two women, I know people see it as a really shitty and or unrealistic move to have Brody be gay when he's a manwhore with women and has been having a sexual relationship with Natalia but I honestly love the fact that Brody is gay and his relationship with Jason is just adorbs as some folk in England say.

As for his little freak out where he tried to 'attack' Nattie, this was something that happened to a guy I know, he was with his girl for a year and was in major denial about his sexuality, it was only when his girl confronted him after finding gay dating apps on his phone and looking through the web history on their shared laptop and found links to gay porn that she confronted him and he lost control with her because he honestly believed he was straight and he isn't and if it wasn't for her brother coming home in time then he may have succeeded in hurting her because of his denial about his sexuality.

I never put this in the book so that Cole could look like a hero, I put it in because sadly, even in 2020, a lot of people are still in denial about their sexuality and I think it's wrong to be that way even though they've probably got their reasons like maybe because of how they were raised or they're scared to admit to who they are because of their religion or just society being so stuck in the god damn stone ages when it comes to homophobia and racism.

I believe if Brody were a real person and not a character then he would want to do everything in his power to prove he's straight when in fact he's not and sadly Brody's way was to force himself on his best friend which a lot of you know, he didn't succeed in and it was just because he didn't want to face the reality that he's gay, with that being said, I hope all of my readers are proud of who they are and didn't take any offence to this, I'm a big supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and I always will be❤️️‍.
