Chapter 34 - I Wish I Could Put Some People on Mute.

A Couple Of Months Later...

"Natalia, get back in bed, it's too early"

"Maybe for you lazy ass but I've gotta get ready for school"

"Urgh!!, f**k school babe, you don't need an education to be Luna"

"Yer says the guy who spent three years in college just to get a business degree so he can be alpha"

"That my love is because I'm a man and I needed it so I can run this pack efficiently and keep us in the money"

"And what about me? am I just something pretty on your arm because if that's the case then you can start shopping around for a new girlfriend"

Yes, you read right, Cole and I are now a couple and have been for about a month now but I didn't make it easy for him, I've still got a lot of trust issues and I told him that if he was really serious about being with me and wanting me as his mate and Luna then he had to prove it to me and that's exactly what he did, Cole did everything in his power to prove how much he loves me and to gain my trust which isn't an easy thing to do.

He also asked me to be his girlfriend every day for a whole month, each time I said no because I wasn't ready but it didn't stop him from asking me the next day and the next day each time in a more inventive and extravagant way up until one day when rogues attacked the pack wanting to either kill me or kidnap me.

Cole forced me to go to the underground bunkers with all of the other women and children, it was one of the hardest things I had to do because I wanted to help them fight but I couldn't, instead, I was forced to keep everyone's spirits up and assure them that their mates were gonna be ok, all the while worrying about my own as well as my brother and my friends.

Cole was injured really badly in the attack and I was scared I was gonna lose him because I could feel his pain which was excruciating and by the time I got to the hospital, I was told that it was touch and go and that the next twenty-four hours were going to be critical for him, luckily he survived and the first words he spoke when he woke up was will you be my girlfriend?, I was so happy that he was alive that I couldn't deny my feelings for him anymore and I said yes.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt a pair of lips on my neck leaving sloppy kisses all over it.

"You're more than just a pretty face, babe, you're strong, smart and incredibly powerful"

He said whilst continuing to kiss my neck, he found my soft spot and sucked on it causing me to moan.

"I love the sound of your moans, my love"

He licked my soft spot and I had to control myself from jumping him.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been feeling incredibly horny whenever I'm around Cole especially when we're alone and quite a few times, I've almost given in and mated with him, I spoke with Emily about it and she said that I'm probably coming into my heat which I refuted by telling her that it only happens when a couple have marked each other but she said that it's probably different for me because I'm a royal.

I really hope she's wrong because I don't think I'm ready to mark and mate with him just yet.

"I can't wait for my mark to be here, babe"

He said whilst tracing my soft spot with his fingers as he kissed up my neck to my ear.

"When are you gonna let me mark you, Natalia? I want everyone to know that you're mine"

"I don't need a mark for that Cole seeing as you've already imprinted your scent onto me"

"You know that's only temporary, babe, I want something more permanent"

"Mmm, f**k"

I moaned as he continued his assault on me.

I knew exactly what he was up too because he does this every single time he brings up marking, he thinks if he turns me on enough then I'll get so lost in the euphoric feelings and say yes and he'll get his way but sadly for him, I'm onto his plan now.

"You'll just have to wait for my parents to come then won't ya"

"Urgh!! babe, seriously? I'm not proposing to you, well, not yet anyway, I just wanna mark your sexy ass so everyone knows that you belong to me"

"And? I think it's only right after everything we've been through that you ask my father for permission first"

I was totally joking with him and I wasn't expecting him to ask my dad for permission to mark me because...well, marking is something that's inevitable with mates, I guess you could say it's mandatory in our world but it's fun to mess with him.

"I'm not asking your dad for permission, babe, I'm sorry"

"I guess you don't love me then"

I joked whilst putting on my boots.

"Of course I love you, Natalia, you know I do, it's just....urgh!!, I shouldn't need anyone's permission to mark my own territory"

Did he just seriously just say that?.

"Ok Cole since you're so desperate to mark me, why don't you just c**k your leg and f*****g piss on me? that's how dogs do it, right"

"Are you calling me a dog?"

"Did you call me your territory?"

Cole closed his eyes and sighed, he then came over to me wrapping his arms around my shoulders and I wrapped mine around his naked torso.

"I'm sorry, babe....it's just so freaking hard to wake up every morning and not be able to make you mine in every way"

"I know, Cole, I'm sorry, I just need more time"

"I understand, my love"

He kissed my head and I smiled.

A small part of me feels bad for Cole because it must be incredibly hard for him not to be able to mark and mate with me especially with him being an alpha and all but then I remember our past and I don't feel as bad because if he hadn't rejected or abused me then we could be really happy now, hell we could even be married with kids, who knows.

"I'm gonna go and have a shower"

"Ok"

Cole cupped my face and gently kissed my lips, I closed my eyes enjoying the kiss wishing it could last longer but unfortunately, I didn't have the time today to get lost in a heated make-out session.

I pulled away from Cole which he growled at and I chuckled, he quickly pecked my lips one last time before going into our en-suite bathroom.

I finished off getting ready and checked my bag to make sure I've got everything, I then left my room to go and get something to eat.

I used the elevator to take me all the way down to the ground floor which didn't take too long, when the door opened I was startled when I heard a bunch of voices and noises coming from the kitchen, what the f**k is going on? who the hell is in my house?.

I followed the voices cautiously until I heard a very familiar voice which calmed down my racing heart.

"WHAT? are you kidding me? Michael Myers was the best serial killer of all time not that p***y Freddy"

"Freddy's not a p***y, Em"

"Yes he is Brody, he only kills people in their dreams, talk about catching someone when they're not expecting you"

"Exactly, that's what makes him the best serial killer, dumbass"

"Urgh!!, you're both wrong Jason is clearly the best"

"WHAT?"

Brody and Emily shouted and I chuckled.

"What are you all doing in my kitchen?"

"Eating, what does it look like?"

"I can see that fat ass, what I want to know is why you're all here and not in the packhouse?"

"Hey, I haven't got a fat ass, babe have I got a fat ass?"

"No, you've got a perfect ass, Jase"

Jason smiled at Brody before turning to me and sticking his tongue out, I chuckled at his childish behaviour as I went over to the kitchen island and picked at the different bowls of fruit.

"So, where's your beloved, Nat?"

"He's in the shower"

I said whilst taking a bite out of a strawberry.

"Have you guys...you know?"

Brody started reenacting Jim Carrey in Liar Liar when he was asking his ex-wife if she'd had sex with her fella, I rolled my eyes at his stupidity and threw a strawberry at him which pinged off his head.

"No and it's none of your business, loser"

"Ouch!!"

I rolled my eyes again when I saw him rubbing his head.

"Don't be such a baby, Brody, it was only a strawberry"

I picked out a bunch of fruit and put it into a bowl with some yoghurt, I then sat down next to Angelo at the table and dug into my food.

Everyone talked amongst themselves except for me, I was more interested in eating, well I was up until I smelled a delicious scent which made my mouth water, I looked up and I really wished that I hadn't because there standing in the doorway was my mate looking just as delicious as he smelled.

I didn't realise that I was practically eye raping Cole until I felt something soft on my chin, I looked down and saw that Brody was wiping it with a cloth.

"You were drooling, sweetheart"

"f**k you, asshole, no I wasn't"

I pushed Brody away and looked down at my food as my face heated up in embarrassment.

"Been there, done that"

GRRRRRR!!.

Cole and Jason growled at Brody who held his hands up in defence.

"I was just joking, calm down boys"

I rubbed my forehead in frustration, Cole and Jason know full well that he's not joking and they look like they're both ready to rip not only Brody apart but me as well.

"Unless you wanna be banned from my pack and my territory Brody, I suggest you keep your mouth shut when it comes to your former relationship with my mate"

"Pfft, you won't banish me, you wouldn't dare"

Oh no.

I looked over at Cole when I felt this surge of anger in me that kept on rising and I saw that he was struggling to keep himself calm, he's been gunning for Brody since day one so it won't take much for him to flip out and attack him.

When I saw that Cole was close to flipping his lid, I jumped up from my seat and quickly went over to him hoping that my presence or touch would keep him calm.

"Cole, calm down, please"

I begged through our mate link, Cole took several deep breaths with his nostrils flaring and his jaw clenched he then looked down at me and almost instantly, he calmed down which I was relieved about, it would cause a lot of unrepairable damage to our relationship if he attacked one of my best friends.

Cole wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into his embrace, I wrapped my arms around his waist as he kissed my forehead.

We remained like this for a few minutes before Emily spoke up.

"Come on Nat, we've gotta go otherwise we'll be late"

"Ok"

Cole growled and tightened his hold him.

"Cole, I've gotta go"

He was reluctant to let me go, so much so that he tightened his grip on me as he growled under his breath.

"Cole, I..."

Before I could even get a chance to continue, Cole grabbed hold of my hand and my bag which was on the table and lead us out of the kitchen.

"This is my god damn house and I've gotta leave it so that I can have some alone time with my girl, that's crazy"

Cole muttered as he lead us out of the house, I chuckled at him because he's acting like a child which I don't blame him, this place is our house as he constantly tells me and he prefers it to remain our own personal space away from everyone else, so when a case like this morning happens when all of our friends show up unannounced, it aggravates him.

As soon as we were outside and finally alone, Cole wasted no time in placing his lips onto mine, he kissed me slowly and passionately which I didn't think was possible for him considering the majority of times we've kissed he likes to in his words 'kiss me the way he likes to make love...rough and passionate', I can't tell you how badly I blushed when he told me that but I will say that if there was a world record for how bad one can blush then I'm the holder of the title.

As Cole kissed me, he started to recite his rules for me in between each kiss, I was super pissed when he first told me that he made rules for me to abide by when I'm not around him because I thought he was trying to control me but then I realised that he was just doing it to keep me safe and protected.

"Don't go anywhere on your own"

Kiss.

"Make sure you stay by Dimitri and Massimo's side, baby, they're your personal guards for a reason"

He kissed me again as I chuckled remembering what happened the last time.

I was fed up of being babysat so myself and Emily ditched the guys and went to get us some Maccie D's and see a movie, we were gone for hours and it was only when we got separate mind links from Cole and Angelo that we realised how much trouble we were in, Cole was so angry with me but it turned out that he was just angry because he was worried about something bad happening to me, it wasn't funny at the time but it is now whenever I think about it, I don't know why.

"Lastly but most importantly, stay away from anyone with a d**k"

"But you just said that I had to stay by Dimitri and Massimo's side"

"Except for them"

"Ok then, what about you?"

"What about me?"

"Well, you've got a d**k, does that mean I have to stay away from you?"

"NO, IT f*****g DOESN'T!!"

He growled and I chuckled.

"Calm down, Cole, I was only joking"

"Yer well, you're not funny so stop it"

Cole was about to kiss me again but was interrupted by a very chipper Emily.

"Sorry to interrupt you lovebirds but we've gotta go"

Cole growled as he turned to glare at Emily.

"Babe, stop it"

Cole snapped his head towards me and smirked.

"Did you just call me babe?"

"Yer, I did"

I smiled brightly at him.

"You always did remind me of the little pig from that movie"

Cole glared at me and I chuckled.

"I've gotta go"

"I know"

After one last kiss, Cole finally let me go and I got in Emily's car.

During the ride to school, Emily kept bugging me wanting to know the ins and outs of mine and Coles relationship including wanting to know if we'd mated or not, despite the fact that I'd already told everyone this morning that we hadn't, thankfully, Dimitri and Massimo put a stop to her constant badgering by telling her that it's none of their businesses, Emily wasn't happy about it but shut up anyway.

When we arrived at school, we all head inside and go to our lockers which are right next to each other thanks to Cole, I don't know how but he managed to get me and Emily our old lockers back whilst the boys have got the lockers on either side of us.

I was getting some books out of my locker when I overheard a couple of girls from one of my classes talk about a new teacher and how hot he is, I turned around to look at them and I noticed that these girls are in my history class which is my first lesson today.

"Urgh!!, I hate my first lesson"

"What are you talking about, you love maths?"

"Yer I know, I just hate it because I'm on my own"

"Aww Em...well, think of it this way, you just have to get through this one lesson then you're stuck with us for the rest of the day"

"I guess"

She said sadly, she's such a drama queen.

The bell rang and we all went to our lessons.

I sat in the back of the class with the boys on either side of me, I was getting glared at by all of the girls and even some of the guys but I ignored them, I'm too mature to deal with people like that or so I thought.

"Good morning class, my name is Mr Harry Smith and I'm going to be your temporary history teacher"

All of the girls started to swoon over our new teacher who is very good looking but not as good-looking as Cole.

"Sir, can I ask you a question?"

One of the cheerleaders tries and desperately fails to ask him seductively whilst pushing out her cleavage, urgh!!, does this bimbo not realise he's our teacher and it's literally illegal for a student to be with a teacher? stupid dumb shit.

"Of course you can, erm..."

"Leanne Riley, head cheerleader"

Also a desperate hoe but I'll just keep that to myself for now, I thought to myself, she's speaking like she's reading her bio of a dating site.

"Ok, Leanne, what's your question?"

As if we all already didn't know.

"Are you single?"

See what I mean? desperate whore meets good looking man, immediately wants to know if he's single, not that she gives two f***s, she was banging Cole when he was in a relationship with Aubrey not to mention she was screwing quite a few of the football players who were in relationships as well, filthy bitch, she's got no standards whatsoever.

"Erm no...no I'm not, I'm actually engaged"

All of the girls groaned.

"Well, I don't mind either way"

She said whilst winking at him.

Oh for the love of our moon goddess.

"Hey hoe, where do you think you are?"

"Excuse me"

"You're excused"

"Who the hell do you think you're talking too, bitch?"

"The pack bike, bitch"

Leanne glared at me as the classroom erupted with laughter and gasps.

"Now if you don't mind, this is a history lesson not an audition for The Bachelor, can you save being a desperate whore for later on so that the rest of us can actually get an education?"

"Urgh!!, how dare you talk to me like that? do you know who I am?"

"Like I said you're the pack bike, you're obviously not that important if you're known in our pack as escalator knickers, well, amongst other names"

She gasped as her face turned bright red.

Leanne is one of Aubrey's minions well, was, she's taken over as the leader of their pack of dogs ever since Aubrey went to New York or wherever it is that her crusty ass is at.

Anyway, everyone except for Leanne's small group of friends laughed as I mentally counted down the seconds until she threw one of her infamous screechy strops.

"Urgh!!, do you know who I am? I'm warrior Dante Riley's daughter, I demand respect"

"Respect is earned not given"

"URRRGH!!, just you wait until I speak to my daddy, he's gonna get you in so much trouble with alpha Cole"

I chuckled at her which seemed to piss her off even more.

"Oh you think that's funny do you, well watch, I'm gonna call my daddy right now"

She got her phone out but was stopped in her tracks by Dimitri and what he said to her had her steaming worse than a cartoon train.

"I wouldn't bother if I was you, alpha Cole is her mate which makes her the future Luna"

Leanne gasped and I smirked.

"He's not exactly gonna punish his Luna over a piece of trash like you now, is he?"

"No...no, this is impossible, Aubrey's his mate not her"

"No, she's not idiot, Natalia is, now do us all a favour and shut the hell up, your voice is hurting my eardrums"

Everyone laughed embarrassing Leanne further, she's never had people laughing at her before well, not to her face at least.

"Ok, everyone that's enough, let's all calm down and get on with the lesson now, shall we?"

Leanne glared at me one last time before turning around in her seat huffing and puffing like the little pup that she is, I just chuckled at her, it's funny that she thinks her pathetic glares have got any effect on me which they don't.

After School....

"No, she didn't"

"Yes she did, we witnessed it"

"Urgh!!, why couldn't I have been there to witness this? I've always wanted to see someone put that slutty nutty in her place"

"Slutty nutty, babe?"

"Yer, she's a slut and a nutjob, slutty nutty"

Angelo looked down at his mate like she was going crazy herself.

I looked up at Cole when I heard him sigh and saw him rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"Are you ok, Cole?"

"I'm fine, babe...I just wish that I could banish those crazy bitches from my pack for good, they're always causing trouble, especially for you"

Cole said whilst placing his hand on my thigh.

"Why can't you? I mean you're the alpha right, doesn't that give you rights over who stays here and who doesn't?"

Dimitri asked looking slightly confused.

"Technically yes but I also need a good reason to kick them out and banish them, I can't just do it because they're idiots who can't keep their legs closed, besides, their fathers are some of the best warriors in my pack and so are their sons, I'm not gonna risk losing them and weakening my pack because of their daughters"

"No offence, alpha but that's bullshit"

We all chuckled at Dimitri's comment, Cole was about to respond to him but was interrupted by what felt and sounded like a volcano erupting.

"What the hell is that?"

Emily asked looking confused.

"Wow"

Massimo said whilst looking out of the window.

"What is it, brother?"

Dimitri asked and I don't know why but I narrowed my eyes at him, the way he said it sounded so much like Cole when he speaks to Angelo.

"It's one, two, three...no wait, four golden helicopters heading straight for here"

"WHAT?"

Everyone shouted as we all jumped up to take a look, I don't know why but I had a strange feeling when I saw them and I immediately ran outside ignoring Cole who was repeatedly shouting my name and telling me to come back.

I ran out into the front gardens and watched as the four helicopters started to land on my front lawn, I was joined by Cole who stood next to me as well as everyone else.

We all waited patiently for the helicopters to land and when they did, I was filled with so many different emotions when one of the doors opened and out stepped a familiar face, one that I've been dying to see again for so long and now here she is, right in front of me in person looking as beautiful as ever.
