Chapter 33 - Unravelling The Faux King's Plan.

Cole's P.O.V.

"To my beautiful future wife, I hope you like your gift from me, I can't wait to see you in it on our wedding night, see you soon baby, love your future husband Scar, IS THIS SOME KIND OF f*****g JOKE?"

"Do you see me laughing, Angelo"

"Calm down guys, the last thing Nattie needs is you two arguing"

Brody said and I looked away trying to calm down my anger.

Natalia managed to calm down the raging beast deep within me when she kissed me which by the way, was f*****g amazing, she tastes so freaking delicious and her lips are so juicy and plump that I couldn't get enough off them, I could literally kiss this girl all day every day for the rest of my life.

Anyway, when we pulled apart from each other to catch our breaths, Natalia cupped my face and placed her forehead onto mine, she then begged me to stay calm if not for myself than for her, of course, I obliged, I don't wanna sound like a girl but I'd literally do anything for my Natalia BUT it doesn't mean that I'm finding it easy to be calm, I'm an alpha at the end of the day and someone is not only threatening to take my mate away from me but he's planning on marrying her and he's sending her sexy underwear as a gift, it's safe to say that I'm about ready to break my promise to Natalia and let out all of my anger which is bubbling over.

"How is Natalia, Cole? this must have really freaked her out"

"Yer it did"

I said with a sigh.

"She could barely put a sentence together when she came into my office and when she saw what was inside of it she was disgusted"

"I'm not surprised, I would be as well if I was her"

"Speaking of your office....what happened?"

Angelo asks whilst looking around at my now destroyed office.

"I got a little angry after I read the note and saw what was inside the box"

"A little angry, it looks like a tsunami has erupted in here"

"Well, neither of you can blame me, you'd react the same way if it was Emily or Jason"

"True"

"Actually, I'd be more confused than angry if someone sent Jason a bra and panties set"

Brody said causing us all to chuckle.

"You can't deny I'd look sexy as f**k in a pair of bra and panties, Brody"

Jason said as he walked into my office.

"Of course you would babe, I can just imagine you walking around in a lacey bra and thong"

"Urgh!!, TMI guys"

"Yer says the guy who described to me and Nattie word for word what he and Emily did in the pack kitchen on their one month anniversary despite our constant pleas for him to stop"

Angelo smirked as his eyes glazed over with lust, I shook my head at him, how am I related to this idiot?.

"How's Natalia, babe? did you see her when you arrived?"

"Erm yer, yer I did"

Jason said whilst scratching the back of his neck.

"What's wrong? is she ok?"

"Yer...I think so, anyway"

"What do you mean? either she's ok or she isn't"

"Well, when I came in I smelled some pretty delicious food and when I went into the kitchen, I saw enough food to feed the whole of Africa, Natalia looked fine but Emily looked worried for her"

"Oh no"

Angelo and Brody said at the same time.

"Oh no...what do you mean, oh no?"

The pair share a look which didn't help to ease my worry for my mate.

"Well, it's just that..."

Brody started but stopped, he looked like he was struggling to find the words to explain what's going on?.

"What Brody is trying to say is that when Natalia is stressed or panicking....she overcooks, it's her way of keeping busy and keeping her mind off what's going on around her?"

Great, just bluddy great.

"It's a good job this packs huge then because Nattie is cooking like she's trying to break a world record and I don't think she's planning on stopping anytime soon"

Urgh!!, this is just what I need.

"We need to find a way to make Natalia feel safe as well as to keep her safe, I don't want her to feel panicked or like she has to walk around on eggshells in her own pack"

"Well, what about her real parents? didn't Nattie say that they're coming to see her?"

I nod my head.

"Yer, in fact, after Natalia left my office I placed a call to the Royal pack and spoke to alpha king Koa personally"

"Really, what did he say?"

"He said that he and his family may not be able to get here for a couple of months at the latest"

"What? why not? aren't they excited to meet their long lost daughter?"

"Of course they are but they can't just abandon their pack without some notice especially since the future king who is also Natties brother wants to come and see his sister for the first time in eighteen years, they need to make sure that they've got someone responsible running their pack whilst they're gone"

"I guess that makes sense"

I look over at my brother who has got a mixture of anger and jealousy on his face, I heard from alpha James that my brother wasn't happy when he found out that Natalia had two biological big brothers and he was worried that he'd lose Natalia the moment she'd meet them.

"Can I have a few minutes alone with Angelo, please lads?"

"Sure"

Brody and Jason leave my office.

"Take a seat, Angelo"

Angelo sat down in the chair in front of my desk, he looked really sad and he wouldn't look up at me.

"What's wrong, Angelo?"

"What are you talking about? nothings wrong with me"

He said whilst picking at his fingernails.

"Then explain why you looked like you were about to flip out and destroy what's left of my office when I mentioned Natalias brothers?"

Angelos hands quickly formed into fists and they clenched so tight that I thought they were gonna break.

"Look at me, Angelo...I said look at me, dammit"

Angelo looked up at me and I felt sorry for him when I saw a lot of hurt in his eyes.

"You're Natalias brother Angelo, you may not be biologically related to her but you always have been and always will be her big brother, nothing and no one can ever change that"

"Really?...how can you be so sure, Cole? how do you know that the moment she meets her real brothers, she's not gonna forget all about me and not wanna know me?....how can you be so sure?"

"Because idiota, Natalia loves and idolises you, any blind man can see that"

"Really?"

"Yes, Angelo...you guys are super close with each other and you've got an unbreakable bond...besides, you remember what grandpa used to tell us, don't ya?"

Angelo smiled brightly as he slightly chuckled.

"Yer...blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family"

"Exactly and no one has been more loyal to our Natalia than you have brother not even Emily"

"I guess so, I just...I just don't want to lose her, Cole"

My poor brother, I hate seeing him this vulnerable.

"You're not gonna lose her Angelo, I promise you....now come on, let's go and sort my little mate out before she cooks enough food to solve world hunger"

Angelo chuckled as we both stood up and left my office, the smell of both sweet and savoury foods hitting us like a ton of bricks as we headed downstairs.

Natalia's P.O.V.

"Natalia babe, you need to stop"

"Why?"

"Because you're out of control, honey, you've made way too much food"

"Oh well excuse me for wanting to make sure my mate, my brother and my friends are all well fed, why don't you smack me over the wrists, Em? I'm clearly being a bad Luna"

"Did you just refer to yourself as Luna?"

I snap my head to face Emily who is smirking at me.

"No, I didn't"

"I'm pretty sure you did"

"Emily..."

I growled closing my eyes to calm down my anger, it's bad enough that I'm dangerously close to having a panic attack and I'm stressing out over this whole thing with Scar, the last thing I need is for my anger to take over to the point where I could potentially harm Emily either verbally or worse physically.

"Mmm, something smells good in here, sweetheart"

"Thanks Brody, that'll be me"

Emily said and I chuckled.

"Grab a plate and dig in boys, there's plenty to go around"

"I can see that....are you ok, sweetheart"

Brody came over to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"I'm fine"

Brody gave me a look and I sighed.

"I'm freaking out"

I whispered as I looked down at the pot in front of me, I hated admitted that I was feeling weak even if it's to one of my closest friends.

"Everything's gonna be ok, sweetheart, I promise"

Brody kissed my temple earning himself a growl from Jason, we both turned around and laughed when we saw Jason glaring at us with sauce all around his mouth and hamster cheeks.

"Nice look, Jase"

Emily said whilst handing him a napkin.

"Is it weird that I still find him hot?"

I chuckled slightly.

"Of course not, he's your mate after all"

"She's got a point, Brody, I remember being so turned on when Angelo was covered in food after you guys had a food fight that we ended up having the best sex we've ever had"

"Urgh!! Emily, TMI!!"

"You took the words right out of my mouth, my love"

I look over at the door and felt my heart start to slow down when I saw Cole standing next to Angelo, our bond may be rocky but it's still strong enough to calm me down even from a distance.

"Can you all keep your sex talk out of my kitchen, please?"

"Don't be jelly belly brother just cause you're not getting any"

Urgh!!.

"f**k you, asshole"

The guys chuckle, well, as best as they could with food in their mouths.

"Are you ok, babe?"

"I'm fine"

"Are you sure?"

I nod my head and smile at him, I could tell that he didn't believe me and I swear when I looked into his eyes I saw hurt in them.

"That's great"

He said with a smile before kissing my temple and hugging me.

A Couple Of Days Later...

"I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware, I've never seen a king of beasts, with quite so little hair, I'm gonna be the mane event Like no king was before, I'm brushing up on looking down, I'm working on my roar, thus far a rather uninspiring thing, oh, I just can't wait to be king"

"How old are you again, Em?"

"Oh come on Nat, you know better than anyone that there's no age limit when it comes to Disney movies"

"I know, it's just most people our age blast actual songs in their cars from the likes of Little Mix, Fifth Harmony or Ariana Grande not songs from The Lion King"

"Well, at least I don't listen to You Me At Six"

I look at her confused.

"What? neither do I"

"Yer you do, you always listen to that one song"

"Which one?"

I asked confused, I've never even heard of this band let alone know any of their songs.

"Just say the word, we'll take on the world, just say you're hurt, we'll face the worst, oh"

"Hey, that's from a classic tv show, I still get choked up thinking about the finale"

I said whilst placing my hand on my chest, I don't know about anyone else but the vampire diaries finale was a total tearjerker, it had me crying for hours.

"Classic, my ass"

"That's because you could never make up your mind whether you were a Delena fan, a Stelena fan or Steroline fan, you got so confused in the end that you suggested that they all just live together in a foursome"

"And? what's wrong with that? Elena and Caroline can have both brothers at the same time, it's a win-win if you ask me"

Urgh!!.

"Besides, I'd rather watch movies that have got nothing to do with our world, I'm still being tortured by Twilight"

I chuckled at her, I remember the very first time we watched Twilight and the moment Edward showed Bella that he sparkled in the sunlight, Emily went completely bonkers and ranted for the rest of the movie about how he's supposed to be a bloodthirsty vampire, not someone who had more sparkles on his body than JLO did at the 2019 met gala.

"And how is The Lion King different from the real world, Em? everyone, it doesn't matter what species you are have got royalty, have got enemies wanting to bring down their rivals and sadly have got family members wanting to fight each other and take each other down over the smallest of things"

"Hmm, I guess you're right"

"Of course, I am"

I look out of the window watching the beautiful scenery pass by which is surprising considering how fast Emily was driving.

"It's great that we'll soon be connected with a king who'll be all-time adored, of course, quid pro quo, you're expected to take certain duties on board, the future is littered with prizes and though I'm the main addressee, the point that I must emphasize is you won't get a sniff without me, so prepare for the coup of the century, be prepared for the murkiest scam, meticulous planning, tenacity spanning, decades of denial is simply why I'll be king undisputed, respected, saluted and seen for the wonder I am, yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared, be prepared"

"OH MY GOD!!"

"What? what? what's wrong?"

"Where's Cole?"

"He's working at the packhouse today"

"Get me there, NOW!!, I need to talk to him"

"Ok"

Emily started to drive faster than normal and in no time we were at the packhouse.

As soon as she parked up, I got out of the car and ran straight inside and up the stairs to Coles office.

I probably looked like a madwoman but I didn't care, I think I've just made a major breakthrough with my creepy-ass stalker and I needed to speak to Cole about it, right now.

"COLE!!, COLE I NEED TO TELL YOU SOME...THING!!"

I burst into his office not caring if he was in a meeting or not but I stopped in my tracks when I saw two guys in his office that I'd never met before but they looked so familiar and weirdly enough, I felt drawn to them.

I didn't realise I was staring at the two young men until I heard a growl and felt myself being pulled into someone's arms.

"MINE!!"

Cole growls snapping me out of my trance or whatever it is that I was doing.

"Sorry Cole"

He took several deep breaths into my neck, my guess was that he was inhaling my scent to calm himself down.

When he was calm or at least as calm as Cole can be, he pulled away but kept a very firm grip on my waist.

"Baby, this is Dimitri and Massimo King, they've just joined our pack, gentlemen this is MY mate and Luna Natalia"

The two gentlemen stood up and shook my hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna"

"Oh please call me Natalia, I'm not the official Luna"

"Yet"

I look up at Cole giving him a really look, the bastard just winked at me as a smirk made it's way onto his practically perfect face.

"I heard that"

"Good for you"

A fake cough was heard and we looked at the door were one of the warriors was standing.

"Erm sorry to interrupt alpha but you called for me"

"Yes Rick, thank you for coming, this is Dimitri and Massimo King, can you show them to their rooms and give them a tour of the house, please"

"Of course alpha"

The three men went to leave but I stopped them.

"Wait...do I know you two? you look really familiar"

The two brothers shared a look before looking back at me.

"I don't think so, I guess we've just got one of those faces"

The elder one said with a slight chuckle.

"I guess"

They smile brightly at me before leaving the office with Rick.

"Checking out the newbies right in front of me, babe, how naughty of you? I should bend you over my knee and spank your sexy tight ass for that"

"Pfft, you haven't got the balls to spank me, Cole"

Cole smirked evilly at me.

"Keep being a naughty girl and you'll find out if I've got the balls to spank you"

"Yes daddy"

I said as a joke but Cole looked like he was turned on by it, whatever.

"Anyway, I wasn't checking them out, I was just looking at them"

"Checking them out"

Urgh!!.

"Well, can you blame me, Cole?"

"Excuse me"

He glared at me and I could tell he was getting angry.

"Did you not see those two boys, Cole? they're dead ringers for you and Angelo"

"What? no, they're not"

"Erm, yes they are"

"Whatever you say, babe"

Asshole.

"What did you want to speak to me about, anyway?"

"Huh, oh yer, I think I've worked out who the faux king is"

"Really? who?"

I get up a picture on my phone and show Cole, he looked between myself and my phone several times before bursting out laughing.

"Babe, The Lion King is an animation, it's not real"

"Urgh!!, you're such an idiot"

I walk around Coles desk and without thinking, I sit on his lap and get up The Lion King Wikipedia page.

"Babe, what are you doing?"

"Just wait"

When the page is finished loading, I read through the plot before pointing to an area for Cole to read, he reads it but I could tell from his face that he was still confused.

"I don't get it, babe"

Urgh!!, men.

"In the movie, Mufasa was king and his younger brother was his successor but when Mufasa's son Simba was born it changed the line of succession making his brother really bitter and angry"

"Soooo"

"So, he plotted to kill his brother and nephew so that he could be king"

Cole rubbed his forehead as he took in everything I was saying.

"And?"

Oh For Christ's sake, it's a good job he's good-looking.

"And, I think that the faux king and my father are related in some way"

Cole let out a sigh and I could tell that he didn't believe me which hurt but I was determined to make him see that I was being truthful.

"Babe, I think you're reading too much into this"

"No, I'm not Cole, I really think there's a connection here"

"Why?"

"Because the rogue said that he called the faux king Scar because of his belief that one day he'll be the king of all supernaturals"

"Again, so"

"Oh my god"

I growled in annoyance.

"Mufasa's brother is called Scar"

"Really?"

Cole asked looking surprised.

"Yes and I think whoever this guy is he's related to my dad and he's planning on killing him and my brothers so that he can be king"

"But that makes no sense because if he does succeed in killing your dad and brothers then you'd be the next in line, not him"

"Exactly"

I whispered feeling scared, except this time, I wasn't embarrassed to show it seeing as I'm alone with my mate.

"f**k"

Cole growled as he rested his forehead on his palm.

"What? what is it?"

"The note...that's why he's planning on marrying you so that he can be the king of all supernaturals"

Oh my god.

"And why every psycho rogue is coming out of the woodwork to either kill me or mate me"

"YOU'RE MINE!!"

Cole growled pulling me close to him, I didn't even realise his arms were around my waist until he did this.

"This is the first time I'm not gonna argue with you about that statement"

I said whilst resting my head on his chest.

"Everythings gonna be ok babe, I promise you....I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you ever again"

"You can't promise that, Cole"

"The hell I can't, nothing and nobody can stop me from doing everything in my power to keep you safe"

Cole kissed my head and I closed my eyes.

I can't wait for my family to get here, hopefully, they can connect some of the dots for us and we can find this guy and end all of this drama for good.
