Chapter 12 - One Bad Thing After Another - Part 1.

Angelo's P.O.V. - (After Brody And Natalia Left).

"Stop frowning babe, you'll get wrinkles"

I look down at my beloved mate and smile, even with how I'm currently feeling, my beautiful mate is the only one person who can make me smile like this.

"How can I be happy Emily when my sister is dating the second biggest player I know?"

"Natalia's happy babe besides have you seen Brody with any other women since we got here?"

"Well...."

I think about the past three months expecting to think of at least one time that I saw Brody with someone who wasn't Nattie but I can't, apart from Emily and Amy, Brody has only spent time with my sister.

"Exactly...they may not be together forever but they're what each other needs right now"

"My sister deserves more than being some five minute quickie for a guy until he finds his mate, Emily"

"You're right Angelo but Natalia means more to Brody than being just a five minute quickie"

"How do you know?"

She smiles brightly and as cheesy as it sounds, her smile manages to light up the entire room, f**k she's so beautiful.

"I just do, I can tell from his eyes"

We stare at each other and from how she was staring at me with lust in her eyes and the way she was biting her lip, I was close to throwing Emily over my shoulder and taking her to our room but unfortunately, alpha James put a stop to my plans.

"Angelo, my office now"

"Yes alpha"

I look down at my little beauty who looks annoyed.

"Wait for me in our room, I won't be long"

I kiss her lips and head upstairs to alpha James office, this better be f*****g important.

Knock!!, knock!!, knock!!.

"Come in"

I enter his office and sit down in the seat in front of his desk.

"So, what do you need me for?"

Alpha James throws a file on his desk and my eyes zeroed in on the name on it which I stared at intently, I put my hand on the file and turn it around to face me.

"What is this?"

"This is Natalia's file, it's got everything in it about her from her birth, right up until she left your parents pack three months ago"

My fingers slowly trace the name on the front as sadness fills me, it's the first time in my whole life that it's hit me, Natalia's not my sister.

"Angelo...."

"She's a Vasquez"

"Angelo...."

"She's a Vasquez, alpha....end of story"

Alpha James is silent for a few moments before he starts speaking and every word is like a knife in my heart, Natalia's more than just my baby sister, she's my best friend, I love her so much and the thought of losing her is slowly killing me.

"Her real name is Natalia Isabella Kala Harrison, she was born in Honolulu Hawaii to Koa Harrison and Tia Harrison, she's the youngest of three siblings, her older brothers are Nathan Koa Harrison born July 5th 1987 and Christian Kai Harrison born December 21st 1989, her mother was pregnant with a fourth child, actually, she would've been the third child but her mother miscarried her and was told that she would never be able to conceive again that was until 2002 when she fell pregnant with Natalia"

"She's got brothers?"

I asked with venom and jealousy dripping from each word.

"Yes...look Angelo this doesn't change anything, you're still gonna be Natalia's big brother, that'll never change"

"But it will because I'm not her brother...there's nothing tying us together anymore"

"If you believe that Angelo then sorry but you're a f*****g idiot, blood doesn't make you family, love, honesty, respect...that makes you a family and after all of the shit that f*****g girl has been through with her real family abandoning her and everything your parents and Cole did to her, you're the only family she's got left, so remember that, ok"

I slowly nod my head and look up at him.

"What else is there?"

Alpha James looks at me with a look I can't decipher, he then grabs the file turning it to face him and opening it, he starts to tell me everything about my sister's life from birth up until three months ago including how my parents gained possession of my sister but what he told me next completely floored me.

"Why did Natalia's parents give her up?"

"Well, there's a small detail I may have forgotten to mention to you"

"Oh yer and what small detail is that?"

"Well erm...Koa and Tia are the king and queen of all supernaturals, Angelo....Natalia is a princess"

What the f**k?.

"Is this a joke?"

"I'm afraid not"

"But how....how is this possible?"

"You really wanna get into the whole how babies are made thing, Angelo"

I roll my eyes.

"I mean how did my parents wind up raising the child of the royals?....h..how?"

"I don't know how or even why, Angelo but I do know that this is real, Natalia is the princess of all supernaturals, I mean it makes sense don't you think? she shifted at an early age, her looks changed rapidly and dramatically once she shifted for the first time after her birthday and not to mention her powers"

"Her powers?"

"Yes...she inherited her powers from her mother....Tia Harrison is a hybrid, she's a half witch half werewolf"

"Meaning...."

"Meaning, Nattie is also a hybrid, how else do you explain a werewolf having powers?"

"This is impossible"

I run my hands over my face and through my hair feeling stressed out.

"No it's not, Angelo, everything Natalia has gone through, the royals have too, every record of the royal family shows them all shifting at age 6 years old, they all had dramatic changes to their images after their eighteenth birthday and every single one of them have got powers....besides look at this"

He shows me several pictures of the royal family and a sharp pain shoots through my heart when I see the strong resemblance between Natalia, King Koa and his sons.

Knock!!, knock!!, knock!!.

"Come in"

"Erm, sorry to disturb you guys but Angelo there's someone here to see you"

"Who?"

I look at Luna Amy with confusion and annoyance when I see her being evasive.

"Babe, who is it?"

"Well...."

"AAHHHH!!"

What the f**k?.

I jump up and bolt out of the room when I hear my mate scream, I run down the stairs and I was shocked when I saw the site in front of me, Emily was shaking like a petrified puppy, her face was filled with tears and she was holding a huge butchers knife in her hand.

"Babe, what the f**k? are you ok?"

Emily doesn't say anything, the poor girl looks like she's frozen with fear which I didn't understand at first but then I heard a voice behind me which caused my whole body to stiffen.

"Hello brother"

I turn around and I was instantly pissed when I saw the bastard smirking at me.

"Cole"

"The one and only"

I tear my eyes away from my brother when I hear a whimper behind me, I look at my beautiful mate who has got fresh tears running down her face.

"Emily, give me the knife?"

She's reluctant at first but she gives in when she makes eye contact with me, I take the knife from her and pull her into a hug.

"Don't worry, babe, he won't hurt you"

I mind link her.

"How do you know?"

"Because I'll kill him before he gets the chance too"

Emily calms down in my embrace which makes myself and my wolf very proud and my chest fills with warmth knowing that she trusts not only me but my word.

"Luna, can you take Emily to my room, please and stay with her?"

"Sure, come on, sweetie"

Luna Amy takes Emily upstairs and now I'm left with alpha James and my prick of a brother.

"You found your mate? good for you brother, it's a shame it's the runt of our pack"

"BASTARD!!"

I use my werewolf speed to grab him by the throat and pin him to the nearest wall.

"Say one more word about my mate Cole and I'll rip your f*****g throat out"

Cole chuckles making me even more murderous.

"Ok, calm down little brother, I won't say another word"

I don't trust him but unfortunately, his voice is dripping with honesty so I have to believe him.

"f*****g asshole"

I let him go and move away from him.

"You've gotten stronger"

"Cut the bullshit talk Cole, what the f**k are you doing here?"

He rubs his throat and smirks at me.

"Believe it or not Angelo, I come in peace"

"Sorry E.T. but I'm not buying that shit"

"I promise you, Angelo, I'm not here to cause shit"

"Then why are you here, Cole?"

Cole sighs as he slumps his shoulders.

"I've got some bad news for you brother"

Oh god, what now?.

"What is it?"

He once again sighs as he puts his hands in his jeans pockets something he always does when he's uncomfortable.

"It's pretty bad, Angelo, can we sit down somewhere?"

I look at alpha James who gives me a slight nod, I then turn back to face Cole.

"Sure, this way"

I lead him into the living area and take a seat on the love seat whilst alpha James and my brother sit on the couch.

"Ok, so what was so important that you drove all the way out here just to see me?"

Cole looked uneasy, in fact, he looked hurt and sad.

"This isn't easy for me to say so I guess I'll have to just come out and say it"

"Ok"

"It's grandpa Grayson and nanny Gail"

"What about them? are they ok?"

He shakes his head no.

"They erm...they're dead"

"What? are you being serious?"

He nods his head.

"They died last night in their sleep....they died in each other's arms"

"Oh my god"

I put my head in my hands as I feel my heartbreak into a million pieces, I'm close with both sets of my grandparents but I was closer to my momma's parents because I've seen them almost every day since I was born whereas my father's parents are more of a once a month visit type of thing because they live in Spain.

"I can't believe this"

"I know...I'm sorry man, I know how close you were with them"

"It wasn't just me though was it, Cole, you were their alpha golden boy and what about Natalia? she was their princess"

His eyes brighten and his face perks up at the mention of my sister, he looked so happy just at the mere mention of her name, it almost made me feel bad for him.

"Yer, about Natalia, are you sure you haven't seen or heard from her? the funeral is in a couple of days and I don't want her missing it"

"Why do you care? you never cared about her or her feelings before she left...why do you care so much now?"

Cole looked stumped and he started to stutter until he said something which confused me because I couldn't tell if he was bullshitting me or not.

"Because she's my baby sister"

I lean in close until we're a few inches apart, my anger was visible in my face and I knew that it was gonna be dripping from my voice as well.

"She's your sister...or your mate"

Cole's face hardens as his eyes widen in shock.

"H..h..how?"

"She told me along with everything else you and our parents and the pack have done to her"

"Shit"

"How could you, Cole? how could you all do this to her? she's our baby girl, our Nattie and she got treated worse than a rogue would"

"She attacked Aubrey"

"How do you know that? where you there?"

"Aubrey was and why would she lie?"

"Why would Natalia?"

He was silent and he looked genuinely confused by everything.

"Even if Natalia did attack Aubrey....she was six years old Cole, six years old for f***s sake and her life went from being perfect to torture in the blink of an eye, she didn't deserve that and she certainly didn't deserve her stupid, ungrateful asshat of a mate to reject her"

"She's my sister"

"Oh bullshit, Cole"

I stand up and walk over to the fireplace.

"It's not bullshit, Angelo, it's the truth"

"Oh really, then explain to me how you're both mates? because as far as I'm aware brother, it's against the moon goddesses will to have siblings be mates, she doesn't believe in incest"

He doesn't answer me and that's when I realised from the look on his face....he knows, the bastard knows.

"You know don't you?"

"Know what?"

"That Natties not our sister, she's not a true Vasquez....she doesn't belong to us"

Cole let's out a loud, strong guttural growl as he grabs me by my neck and slams me into a wall.

"SHE'S MINE, ANGELO!!, SHE'S f*****g MINE!!"

"Yours? since when? according to the were laws, Cole, the moment a rejection takes place, you lose all rights to your mate....Natalia's no longer yours Cole and I doubt she ever will be again"

I manage to tell him whilst he was choking me.

"Do you know where she is?"

I don't answer him, instead, I try to pry his hand off me which seemed to get tighter the more I tried.

"Where is she, Angelo? where is my mate?"

Cole looked deep into my eyes, there was a mixture of emotions running through them until they widened with realisation and that's when I sent a mental pray to my moon goddess to protect my sister and give her the ability to forgive me.

"She's here isn't she?....Nattie's here"

I look over at alpha James who looks defeated, he knows better than anyone that Cole won't give up and he only has to concentrate and tap into his alpha senses to find out the truth, not to mention the fact that Nattie is gonna be home soon and if I know my brother then he won't be going anywhere anytime soon, at least not tonight anyway, so I did what I had to do, I just hope Nattie forgives me and I don't lose her.

"Yes...she's here"
