Chapter 8 - Training.

"Focus Natalia"

"I am focusing"

I sigh in frustration.

"Ok, are you ready?"

"Yes"

"NOW!!"

We start sword fighting again which is what we've been doing for the past couple of hours and I've gotta say I'm pretty damn good at it even if I do say so myself but I'm finding it really hard to focus thanks to Brody.

"AAHHH!!"

Like I said I was finding it hard to focus and because of that, Brody was able to accidentally nip my cheek with his sword.

"Dammit Natalia, I told you to focus"

"f**k you, Brody, how the hell am I supposed to focus when you're standing there looking like you're about to audition for dreamboys?"

It's not exactly easy to focus on the task in hand when your tutor is topless and has got an amazing set of abs.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart"

"Yer, I bet you are, it's also not helping me that I'm sweating like a stripper in church, why do I have to wear this thing anyway?"

"Because if you don't sweetheart then I'll be the one getting distracted by your sexy body"

"Whatever"

I mutter as I look away so that he won't see me blushing.

Brody gently pinched my chin with his finger and thumb and lift my face up.

"Don't look away Nat, you look beautiful when you blush"

"Urgh!!, asshole"

I get up off the floor and unzip my hoodie.

"Hey, woah, what are you doing?"

"I'm taking my hoodie off"

"No you're not, keep it on"

"No Brody, don't be selfish, first of all, I'm f*****g hot and secondly, it's not fair that you get to be half-naked distracting me whilst I'm over here all wrapped up like a Christmas turkey being cooked in this heat"

I take off my hoodie revealing my black and pink sports bra and I throw it onto the nearest chair, I look over at Brody who was looking me up and down with lust in his eyes whilst licking his lips, a part of me felt a little insecure because of my body and all of the scars that are on it but the rest of me didn't care, he's already seen me at my worst when I first got here and even then he was checking me out.

"Ok, are you ready to go again?"

"Yer"

We start sword fighting again only this time, it was an even playing field and it wasn't only me that was able to get distracted.

We were going for a good ten minutes until I was once again distracted this time it was from a strange noise coming from the woods.

"AAHHH!!, f**k!!"

"Natalia, shit I'm so sorry"

"I..It's o..ok, it w..wasn't your f..fault"

I hold my stomach which is bleeding profusely from the gash that Brody caused with his sword.

"Come on let's get you to the infirmary"

"No, it's ok"

"Lucky heal me"

"You got it"

Within seconds, my wound disappeared leaving behind only the blood left on my stomach.

"What the f**k? how did you heal so fast?"

"It's my special power, I've always been able to heal myself quickly"

I say with a slight chuckle.

"That's not normal, Nat"

I chuckle at him again.

"I'm not normal, babe"

Brody's eyes light up at my pet name for him and he smiles brightly, he was about to say something when he was cut off by the sound of a little girl screaming.

"AAHHH!!, HELP ME, SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!!"

I look towards the woods and I get up running.

"NATALIA STOP, IT COULD BE DANGEROUS!!"

I ignored Brody and continued to run, to hell if this was dangerous or not, that voice sounded like a child.

Brody was hot on my tail following me, when I got closer to the woods, I picked up the heavy, heavy scent of a rogue, I followed the scent to where the rogue was and what I saw made my heart jump up into my throat, a rogue was on top of little Charlotte and was about to rip her neck out.

"OH MY GOD, NO!!"

I don't know how or why but within seconds a blue shield surrounded Charlotte which caused the rogue to flinch back like he'd been electrocuted, I was looking at the scene in horror, how the hell did I do this?.

"Natalia...Nat...wh..what the f**k?"

Like myself, Brody was shocked seeing what was going on in front of us.

"G..get t..the r..rogue"

Brody didn't need telling twice before shifting into his wolf and ripping the rogue to shreds.

"CHARLOTTE!!"

"OH MY GOD, MY BABY!!"

"Nat"

I shifted my focus from Charlotte to alpha Jay and Luna Amy who both had a mixture of emotions on their faces.

"How are you doing this, Nat?"

"I..I..I don't k..know, it just h..happened"

"Are you a witch?"

Amy asked me only to be shushed by Jay.

"No, I'm a wolf"

I look back at Charlotte who looked like she was in her element being in her own bubble.

"Are you ok, Charlotte?"

I was once again shocked when Charlotte disappeared from the blue shield and appeared in my arms.

"H..how did you do that?"

"I don't know"

I whispered as tears started to form in my eyes.

"Momma, did you see what Nattie did? it was so cool"

"I did baby, come here"

Amy takes Charlotte from me and checks her out for any injuries which thankfully she hasn't got.

"Excuse me"

"Natalia"

Alpha Jay grabs hold of my hand and I turn around.

"Are you ok?"

I nod my head.

"I'm fine, I just wanna be alone right now"

He nods his head and lets go of my hand, I head inside of the packhouse ignoring all of the looks from pack members.

I was about to walk upstairs when I heard the front door opening and I saw my brother and Emily walk in, I plaster a fake smile on my face and walk over to them.

"Hey guys, how did it go? what's the news?"

Emily looks at me very stoic before walking away and going upstairs.

"Em...what's going on?"

"Leave her, Nat, she just needs some time"

"Why? what happened?"

Angelo sighs and looks down before looking at me with tears in his eyes.

"She's not pregnant, in fact, the doctor thinks that it's impossible for her to get pregnant because of all of the torture that she's suffered from"

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Angelo"

I hug my brother who shook in my arms and I felt something wet on my shoulder, he's crying.

"Don't cry, Angelo, have faith"

"How can I have faith, Nat when my own family and pack have destroyed mine and my mates chances of being parents?"

"You just have to keep trying, Angelo, don't give up"

I felt really bad for my brother, even though he and Emily have only just met and they're still so new and fresh in their relationship, it must be a huge blow to them to find out that they can never have babies something which I know my brother has always wanted.

"Thanks, Nat...goddess, how can you be so positive after everything you've been through?"

I chuckle as I pull away from him, I then cup his face and wipe his tears away with my thumbs.

"Because I believe in our moon goddess and the plan she's made for me, if I let all of the bad and depressing shit get to me then I'd never get out of bed in the morning"

Angelo smiled and looked down, his smile quickly turned into a scowl and I saw his face go from his usual tan colour to bright red.

"Is that f*****g blood?"

I look down and see all of the blood that is still on me from my little accident.

"Oh yer, it's nothing just a little hiccup in training"

Angelo's head snapped up and he looked at me with anger in his eyes.

"Did Brody do this?"

"Yer but it was an accident, it wasn't his fault"

Angelo huffed and puffed and I could tell from his eyes that his wolf was about to take over.

"Calm down Angelo, it's ok I'm ok, I'm fine"

Angelo looked me in my eyes and I felt fear run through me, his eyes aren't his, they're his wolfs.

"I'm gonna f*****g kill him"

Angelo stormed off heading towards the garden but luckily I caught him in time and stopped him from going outside.

"Angelo don't, it wasn't his fault it was mine"

"Yours? so you hurt yourself"

"No, but..."

"Exactly"

"For goddesses sake, Angelo listen to me will ya, it was an accident I got distracted when I heard a noise in the woods and Brody caught me off guard, it really was an accident Brody wouldn't hurt me"

"She's right man, I wouldn't hurt her, she got distracted when she heard Charlotte being attacked and I hurt her by accident"

I look over at Brody who looked hurt by Angelos accusation.

"What do you mean Charlotte was being attacked? is she ok?"

"She's fine no thanks to your sister over here"

Brody slung his arm over my shoulder and my mood instantly dropped remembering what had happened outside.

"Excuse me"

"Are you ok, Nat?"

"I'm fine, I just wanna go and take a shower, I stink"

I say with a slight chuckle before making a beeline for the stairs, my heart was racing and fear was gripping my whole body, what happened outside isn't normal, wolves don't have special powers or the ability to do what I did with Charlotte.

"Calm down, Nat, everything's gonna be ok"

"How can I be calm, Lucky, I'm a freak?"

"No you're not Natalia, I promise you"

As much as I'd loved to say that comforted me and made me feel better, it didn't, if anything it made me feel even more worried and fearful that if anyone came to know about this then I'd be treated like I used too at my parent's pack.

Brody's P.O.V.

"Is everything ok with Natalia?"

Angelo asked me with worry clear in his voice.

"To be honest with you, I don't know"

"What happened outside?"

"Well..."

"Where's Natalia?"

I was cut off by alpha James and Luna Amy coming in with Charlotte.

"She's gone to take a shower, why what's going on?"

"Let's go to my office and talk"

We head up to the alphas office and I felt really nervous, I don't know why I just did.

When we get to the office, we all take a seat and wait for Amy to come back from taking Charlotte to her room, when she comes in, she sits next to alpha James and rests her hand on his arm, ever since Natalia and Emily showed up on our border and we heard their stories, James has been working non stop around the clock to try and find out who Natalia's birth parents are, so far he's had no luck but hopefully what happened today will help him.

"Ok Brody, tell us what happened outside, I wanna know everything"

I take a deep breath before telling them everything that happened from training to us finding Charlotte, Angelo was pissed that I'd accidentally hurt his sister but oddly enough he didn't say or do anything, he just sat there breathing deeply like he was trying to calm himself down, James and Amy, on the other hand, seemed intrigued when I told them about what Natalia did to protect their daughter and I swear I saw a sense of pride in their eyes.

"So you're saying that Natalia waved her arms and a blue shield covered Charlotte kind of like a protective bubble?"

I nod my head.

"Whatever it was it must've been pretty powerful because it knocked the rogue away from Charlotte and when he tried to go near it he flinched back like he'd been burned or electrocuted"

James rubbed his stubbly chin with his fingers whilst Angelo and Amy looked confused.

"But what about the other thing?"

"What other thing?"

Angelo asked with worry.

"Natalia was able to somehow bring Charlotte into her arms without moving from where she was standing"

"What?"

Angelo was shocked at what Amy said.

"H..how...how is that possible?"

"I don't know"

The room is silent for a few minutes but despite the silence, I could tell that everyone was thinking about what happened and what could possibly be going on with Natalia.

"Could this have anything to do with her real family?"

"I don't know, maybe...we should speak to her adopted parents"

"We can't do that"

"Why not?"

"Because they'll know she's here and tell Cole"

"And?...I'm sorry Angelo but we need to find out what's going on with Natalia and that starts with us finding out as much as we can about her birth family"

Angelo furiously rubs his head looking anxious and stressed.

"Let me think about it ok, I've had a long day, I'm really stressed out and I don't wanna make a decision that's gonna end up hurting or stressing out my sister"

"Ok but don't take too long, Angelo, we're doing this for Natalia and her future, she deserves to know the truth about who and what she is"

Angelo nods his head and leaves the room, I rub my chin thinking about Natalia, I wonder if she's ok.

"Are you ok, Brody?"

"Yer"

"Are you sure?"

I look up at my alpha and Luna as I contemplate whether or not I should tell them about Natalia being able to heal herself, my wolf was urging me to tell them but I was in two minds because I didn't know whether Natalia would want anyone knowing.

In the end, I decided to bite the bullet and tell them because they're gonna find out anyway and if Natalia flips out on me then I'll find a way to calm her down.

"When I was training Natalia, I erm...I..."

"You what?"

I let out a breath.

"I accidentally hurt Natalia with my sword..."

"For f***s sake, Brody, you were supposed to be training the girl not f*****g her"

"JAMES!!"

Amy scowls at her mate as she slaps her hand over his mouth.

"Don't be disgusting, babe, continue Brody"

I give alpha James an odd look whilst he smirked.

"Anyway, she had a gash on her stomach which was bleeding heavily"

"Really? she looked fine when we saw her"

"Well that's the thing, when I offered to take her to the infirmary, she told me no and her wound instantly healed like it was never there"

"What? that's impossible"

Amy rolls her eyes and looks at James annoyed.

"Nothing's impossible when it comes to Natalia, babe, she's already proved to us that she's different from the average wolf, even an alpha wolf can't do what she can"

"That's true"

"So, what happens now?"

"We wait on Angelo"

James lets out a sigh and I nod my head.

"I'm gonna go guys, I'll see you later"

"See ya"

"Bye"

I walk out of alpha James office and head to Natalia's room to see if she's ok, I knocked several times but received no answer, I contemplated just walking in but I didn't wanna risk having to face Natalias wrath, luckily for me, one of our omegas was walking by and told me that Natalia was in the theatre room, I thanked her and went down to see how she's doing, hopefully, she's ok, I don't like narky Nattie.
