Chapter 373 - Isn't he supposed to be on a business trip?

Wait, even more important, isn't Lu Shaoting supposed to be on a business trip? What was he doing in his brother's office and why didn't Lu Aotian seem to be surprised about it?

"Honey, your meeting starts in ten minutes. You should get going." Lu Aotian reminded her.

Lu Shaoting raised an eyebrow. His sister-in-law was here?

Sure enough he saw Wan Jia come out of the private section. "Sister-in-law?"

Wan Jia beamed. "Glad to have you back. I was starting to think you swallowed some anti-Wan Jia explosives."

Lu Shaoting scowled at her. He didn't go anywhere, okay? And what in the world was anti-Wan Jia explosives?

Meanwhile, Su Ling went to receive the business partners at the airport. She was not informed that the flight had been delayed so she had to wait for an extra hour.

Still, she didn't look impatient at all. After nearly exhausting all the games she could play on her phone, their flight finally landed. There were two middle aged men and a young woman in her twenties.

Because their flight had been delayed, they were in a rather bad mood. They were not in the mood to hold a conversation with her and simply had her show them to their hotel rooms. Su Ling had helped them book presidential suites in Emerald Grand Hotel.

The woman looked around and asked, "I heard Platinum Grand Hotel is the new best hotel around here. Why didn't you take there instead?"

Su Ling had been infected by their bad mood. You wanted me to recommend a good hotel and when I do, you don't like it anymore? "Miss, in my eyes, the older one is more valuable if they are of the same quality. Not only that, this is my best hotel in the whole world. That's why I recommended it."

Hearing that it was her best hotel, the young woman was no longer displeased. The two middle aged men didn't have much to say as long as the suites were satisfactory.

"You should rest for a while. President Lu will meet you tomorrow." She said and went on to recommend the best restaurants to them based on the food they liked. She had studied their profiles and now, she used the information she found. It would be boring to wait for Lu Aotian till the next day.

As expected, they expressed their displeasure. "What?"

"We have to wait for him for all those hours?"

"Who does he think he is? Even Lu Tongyan doesn't dare to make us wait that long."

Su Ling was in a hard predicament. "Misters, could you please be patient? President Lu has a lot on his plate. Miss Paula, there's a new spa that opened recently. Their services are really top notch. After settling them, she finally left the hotel. Phew, that wasn't that hard.

Now, she had one more thing to do. Lu Shaoting had asked her to drop by his Southside Villa and check if there was anything that needed to be changed. Since she had taken a day off work, she may as well go today.

She took a cab to Southside Villas. She started looking around the house as instructed, noting down what she wanted to be changed. Actually, she didn't want to trouble him much. It was just that the house looked like a haunted villa. If not, she wouldn't change a single thing.

While looking around on the balcony, she realized that there were people in the villa beside theirs. They were on the second floor so she could vaguely see their silhouettes.

She was just starting to find it strange that Henry Blanc was not among the business partners from Country F. Turned out he preferred being received by his fiancée.

Henry Blanc  had just arrived. He had come intending to attend the meeting today but when he was informed that it had been postponed to the next day, he called his fiancée over to keep him company. She wasn't busy so she agreed.

Although they hadn't spent that much time together thanks to the distance, they would video chat when they were free. They felt like they were much closer.

In his bedroom on the second floor, Lin Lihua helped him unpack his luggage. For a moment, the atmosphere felt a little awkward. Served her right for liking a man slightly younger than herself. Aside from business matters, they practically had little to discuss. Were they expected to be cheesy like young couples?

"Do you think you are ready to meet my family?" he asked when the silence became too much to bear.

"I don't see why not. I'll take a leave of absence and go back with you."

"You don't really have to. My parents will attend Lu Enterprises' centennial. You can meet them right here."

"Your parents will attend Lu Enterprises' centennial?"

"Why not? They were invited."
