33 Chapter 32

Seeing the number of wasps, I had no choice but to transform into my hybrid form and create two clones. I had left only two to protect my crew and to look over the exhausted giants. There shouldn't be any more dangers on Little Garden, but I didn't want to take the chance.

The two clones I made each created one more, and we started eliminating the insects.

The wasps were like an endless wave and started non-stop pouring out of the nest.

They were beating their wings in unison and started increasing the surrounding temperature. The sound they were producing from their flapping was mentally exhausting as well, so we had to split apart, to not get entrapped and surrounded.

With our speed, the wasps stood no chance against us. They didn't try running away, so that made things easier for us.

After killing a few thousand of them, a bigger wasp came out of the nest, the Queen. She didn't have the same yellow and black coloration as the rest. The Queen wasp had a bright green body, with a few red stripes in the middle. She was around twice the height of the wasps from her nest.

"You are ruining my hard work!" The Queen wasp screeched before she flew at high speeds towards one of the clones. Nonetheless, she was still slower.

Previously she managed to sneak up on the clone who had infiltrated into the nest. Otherwise, the Queen wasp wouldn't have managed to capture the clone.

Unfortunately, the clone she attacked couldn't damage her, since the Queen wasp turned herself into honey, and his attacks went right through her. This complicated things since I thought she could use honey to attack, not turn into it. I didn't expect her to be a Logia user, but I still had the confidence to deal with her, so that didn't scare me.

Having seen that I couldn't eliminate with the Queen wasp immediately, I focused on going after the surrounding wasps.

It took us some time, but we managed to get rid of all the wasps around us, and no more were coming of out the nest.

The Queen wasp didn't stop screeching and chasing whoever was closest to her, be it me or a clone. Despite seeing all of her workers getting killed, she didn't escape. I was hoping that would discourage her and make her leave from here.

Logia users are a pain in the ass to deal with when they are paying attention and have transformed into their element form.

Attacking her did absolutely nothing, and I was thinking of possible ways to deal with her. While pondering on what to do, an idea popped into my head. I made my way to one of my clones and told him what I had in mind.

The clone enlarged himself and used Soru to appear behind the Queen wasp. With a chomp, the clone swallowed her whole.

After eating her, the clone rushed towards the river going through the middle of Little Garden. Once he reached there, the clone jumped inside the water. The moment he was submerged, he was dispelled, but the Queen wasp was already underwater.

I received a surge of memories from the clone eating her, accompanied by the pain he experienced from her being inside of him. But the Queen wasp was no more. I don't believe she would be able to escape from there, considering she was a Devil Fruit user.

After I dealt with the wasps, Robin walked up to me. "Are you sure there is a Poneglyph in the nest or were you trying to showcase your strength?"

"I can assure you there is one there, like I said I mean you no harm," I told Robin and walked inside the nest. She followed behind me but still kept her distance.

There were a few more wasps in the nest, but I dealt with them on the way. Robin was quiet and didn't say anything else while moving towards the mysterious stele.

The Poneglyph was located in the bottom of the nest, so it didn't take us long to reach it.

The dark blue colored stele was four meters high and four meters in width. The language carved on it was something I had never seen before and had no clue what was written.

"It truly is here!" I heard Robin exclaim once we entered the chamber with the Poneglyph. The moment I saw it, I couldn't keep my eyes away from it. I felt a connection with the stele, like it was calling to me.

Walking up to it, like in a trance, I placed my hand on it. The instant I touched the Poneglyph, I experienced a sharp pain in my head. It felt like someone was slowly cutting it apart.

Following the pain, I heard a voice so domineering that was crushing me entirely just by listening to it. I couldn't control myself and started speaking alongside it.

"For thousands of years, we fought. We won battles, but the war we lost. The curse was too strong. With the seeds, we ran away to where life could grow. Thousands of years ago, we landed on this very land. We built everything anew and flourished once again, but escape we never did. The curse was upon once again, bringing destruction with it. Countermeasures were created, but they were not enough. The curse was too strong. History repeated itself again, and our friends turned their backs on us. We fought, we won battles, but the war was lost yet again. Our only hope left in our descendants, with our legacy left in the clouds."

Once I stopped hearing the voice, I started seeing visions. Myriad races were fighting against each other. There were Humans, Giants, Fishmen and so many more others that I've never even seen. Each and every one of them was an amazing fighter who had tremendous powers.

All of them were using Armament Haki while fighting, judging how they were turning selective parts on their bodies black. To top it all of they were using Devil Fruit abilities with extreme expertise. The control and power shown by them could put anyone I've seen so far to shame. Gigantic mountains and continents were destroyed within minutes in their confrontations.

I saw hundreds of different battles, and they all ended in the same way, with nearly everyone dead.

At one point the scene changed to a selective group, that was boarding a space ship. The ship flew away from a planet, while the planet crumbled away in the distance.

After that, the visions stopped, and I collapsed on the ground panting. Robin was overlooking me with a bit of concern on her face.

"What happened?" I asked out.

"After you read the text, you started screaming in pain. No matter what I said you didn't respond." Robin answered me but didn't let me respond, as she asked me a question immediately after that. "Where did you learn to read that language?"

"I can't read it. I don't know what happened earlier." I told Robin, while still gasping for air. My whole body was in pain, and I was sweating, but I was slowly recovering.

"What do you mean you can't read it? You recited the text written on it word by word." Robin was looking at me with astonishment.

"I've never seen this language before, but I felt a connection to the Poneglyph. Once I touched it, I heard a voice in my head. I don't know how, but I was forced to repeat after it." I answered her truthfully.

"This shouldn't be possible, but you being able to read this text, is just as unlikely," Robin stated with shock in her eyes.

"Is this everything that is written on it?" I asked her. It's such a big block yet only so little was written.

"Usually it's even less and more cryptic," Robin responded.

"You said that you have never seen this language, but you heard a voice correct?" She asked me.

"Yes," I confirmed while nodding my head.

"I don't really trust you, but I will follow you for now. I want to see if this is a one-time thing. You did say you are interested in the Void Century, so I presume you will be going after other Poneglyphs correct?" Robin questioned.

"That's right. You won't regret joining us, I promise you," I answered her cheerfully.

"That remains to be seen. You would have to deal with my current boss, Sir Crocodile of the Schibukai." She said.

"That was our plan, to begin with. Let's go and introduce you to the crew." I told her, and we made our way towards the rest of the crew.
