28 Chapter 27

After around an hour, I heard the people around us quietly make their way out of the bar. Once everyone was gone, Zoro, I and the girls stood up.

"I will go and deal with those fools. I'm pretty sure I know who we are dealing with." Zoro stated and made his way out as well.

"I will go and see if there is anything of value here." Nami walked out after him.

"Let's go and watch the show," I told the girls.

"Tch, and I just got comfortable." Nojiko didn't look happy, while Aisha nodded at me, and grabbed my hand.

Once we walked out, the people were scrambling about trying to escape Zoro, who was playing around with them. He was testing the new swords he got from Loguetown.

"The information was wrong! He should be the Captain and the one with a seventy million bounty." I heard Vivi.

In just a few minutes Zoro subdued over a hundred people. In the meantime, we had found a place to observe everything from above. Nojiko was of great help, erecting a platform for us.

"I will pummel you to the ground." A muscular dark-skinned woman, with pink hair, tried fighting Zoro with pure physical strength alone. Sadly for her, she was no match for him and was knocked out within seconds. Zoro has been pushing himself extra hard lately and has improved a lot.

"Let's show him what we got, Miss Wednesday." Mr. 9 said and jumped on top of a building, while Vivi called out to her duck, Carue. She hopped on top of her duck and ordered it to go after Zoro. Unfortunately, Carue ran the opposite direction from Zoro.

"Let's see if you can deal with my acrobatic skills." Mr. 9 jumped in the air with two metal batons in hand. He started spinning while falling towards Zoro.

"I don't have time for fools like you." Zoro hit him with the back of his sword and knocked him out.

Iggarapoi jumped out from behind him and tried shooting him, but Zoro easily dodged his attempts. Zoro was about to knock him out before a projectile flew in their direction. Before it could hit them, Zoro cut it in the middle, but Iggarapoin moved away in the process.

"You can't even deal with a simple clown. How you got your positions is beyond me." A dark-skinned man with black hair in short spiky dreadlocks came into the scene. Next to him was a woman with short blond hair and green eyes. She was wearing a yellow and orange hat, as well as a yellow dress with a lemon-like pattern, lemon earrings, and white high-heeled shoes.

"Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine! With your help, we will easily beat them." Iggarapoi said.

"We aren't here to help you. We are here to deal with those who know the bosses secret. That would be you two. Igaram the captain of the Alabasta royal guard and Vivi Neferati the princess of Alabasta." Mr. 5 picked his nose and shot a booger at Vivi.

Igaram got in the way of the shot and defended Vivi. After that, he turned around and begged Zoro to help save the princess.

"Mr. Swordsman, seeing your strength, I will make an unreasonable request. Those two are Devil Fruit users, and I am unable to deal with them. Please help and protect the princess in my stead." He was about to refuse him, but I made my appearance at that point.

"Yosh, I promise we will help her!" I stated with confidence. Vivi and Igaram were startled by my sudden appearance next to them.

"Kyahhah, allow me to bury you into the ground. Eat my ten thousand kilogram press!" Miss Valentine's voice came from above us. She was hovering in the air using her umbrella, before falling towards us. Miss Valentine fell right into my arms, and the ground cracked underneath us, but other than that nothing happened.

Miss Valentine started squirming in my arms, trying to escape my grasp. She didn't look much of a fighter outside her ability to increase her weight.

I felt a projectile coming our way and quickly moved from where I was standing with her in my arms, while Zoro and Vivi were able to escape from the explosion.

"Aren't you teammates? Why would he shoot you as well." I asked Miss Valentine, but she couldn't respond since another projectile came our way.

"Completing the mission is the top priority, and since you will get in the way, I will eliminate you," Mr.5 stated before pulling out a revolver and blowing into the cartridge. Before he could take a shot, Zoro appeared behind him using Soru. With a quick hit with the backside of his sword, he knocked him out.

"I thought you said I would have fun. I was expecting more coming to the Grand Line." Zoro stated.

"Don't worry this is just the start." I grinned at him.

"Not a great teammate if he is attacking you as well," I said to Miss Valentine while releasing her from my grasp. She looked frightened and was shivering.

"I will make you an offer, why don't you join my crew. I can promise you we will treat you fairly." Miss Valentine looked hesitant at my offer.

"I promise you will be safe with us, and if you don't like it, you can leave whenever you want to," I told her with a smile.

"Why would you ask me this when I attacked you?" Miss Valentine asked.

"I don't think you are a bad person." She still looked hesitant.

"I don't know. I failed the mission, so Baroque Works will send agents against me. I will cause you trouble." In the meantime, the crew had woken up to check what was happening. The moment Sanji saw me and Miss Valentine, he flew at me and attacked me.

"Don't let this tempter seduce you, my fair lady. My name is Sanji and it's a pleasure to meet you." He introduced himself to her while taking her hand. The rest of the crew had gathered around us at that point and introduced themselves.

"I guess, I could come along." Miss Valentine still looked hesitant.

After agreeing, we gathered around Vivi, and she told us about Alabasta. How a few years ago some people started to revolt and cause chaos. She later heard of Baroque Works, and that they are the cause of it. Vivi and Igaram infiltrated the organization to figure out how to deal with them. They later figured out that Baroque Works is trying to make an Ideal Nation, and its goal is to take over Alabasta.

"HAHAHA, I though Baroque Works was a strong organization, but now seeing them in action it doesn't seem so." Another man wearing a silver cloak made his appearance while we were talking.

He was quite the tall one with green eyes and long black hair pulled in a ponytail. The man had a weird dark grey material on the right side of his face. It covered most of his cheek, looking like someone had filled a hole there with metal. Besides that, the man could be considered handsome with even features.

"I'm searching for someone, and I believe that might be the boss Baroque Works. I need to know his identity!" The man demanded while staring at Vivi.

"The boss's identity? No, no, no you don't need to know. If you knew Baroque Works would come and hunt you down." Vivi started panicking.

"I hope they come after me, that way it would make it easier for me." Stated the cloaked man.

"No matter how strong you might be you can't possibly be a match for Crocodile, a member of the Schibukai," Vivi said in a flustered tone.

"So it is him! I finally found him!" The man exclaimed.

"The boss is a Schibukai? There is no way to go against him." Miss Valentine started sweating and was preparing to leave before she noticed an otter and a vulture. The otter was drawing pictures of us and once he was done, the vulture picked him up and flew away with him.

"I guess I have no choice, but to come with you now." Miss Valentine started sulking after seeing them fly away.

"Shishishi, see Zoro I already found someone strong for us to fight." He looked pleased from hearing that from me after all, Mihawk is also a Schibukai.

"Ok Vivi, I've decided, we will bring you back to Alabasta and deal with him!" I declared to her.

"My name is Xander, and it's a pleasure to meet the Menace of East Blue." The man walked up to me and bowed after introducing himself.

"I have to admit you don't look like the devil they described you as, nor do you act like one. Since you would help the princess of Alabasta, I would like to come along. I have a grudge with Crocodile that I have to settle. Please take me with you." I wasn't sure whether he means us harm, but he looked desperate.

"I promise you will not regret it if you take me along, and I won't hold you back. I have eaten the Iron-Iron fruit, and have become an Iron-man." Xander before turning his whole body into the same material that was covering his right cheek.
