5 Chapter 04
Zoro POV:
It's been sixteen days since I promised that bastard that I will survive for a month without food. It was another boring day until I felt someone near one of the walls and saw someone with a straw hat pop his head over it. Shortly another pink haired boy climbed up as well. Don't they know they will be executed for such an action or are they hear to laugh at me.
There was no point in asking them, so I cursed at them and told them to leave. The one with the straw hat simply started laughing, is there something wrong with him or is he just stupid.
I couldn't spend much time thinking about it, as someone else decided to come as well. It was a little girl with black hair. She jumped over the wall and ran to me with a couple of onigiris in her hands. I couldn't scream at her as well, the marines might hear me and I really don't want to get her in trouble.
Additionally, I planned to fulfill my promise of not eating for a month. If I am unable to do something so simple, how would I ever become the strongest swordsman? This is my life goal and nothing will stop me from succeeding.
Unfortunately, the stupid bastard son of Morgan decided to appear now. I immediately started cursing him, hoping he won't bother with the little girl. It seems fate is against me today as he ate of the onigiris she was carrying and spat it out, spouting things like you don't put sugar in onigiri and telling the little girl to not bother cooking anymore.
If I had my swords, I was going to cut him down, after I saw him kicking the other one out of the girls' hands and stomping on it. I even tried to snap the ropes that were binding me, when he ordered one of his guards to throw the girl over the wall. I didn't hear her scream and I didn't hear the sound of someone falling. It seems the fools from earlier were useful for something.
Shortly after Helmeppo left, the guy with the straw hat came up to me. Again, I ask myself is he stupid or is there something wrong with his head. Seeing his goofy smile that he had on, I would go with the latter.
Especially after hearing his request to join his PIRATE crew, I was sure that he is mentally challenged. People call me PIRATE hunter Zoro for a reason and he wants me to join his crew. There is definitely something wrong with him, he didn't even bother introducing himself, what a weirdo.
I didn't really want to bother with such a lunatic so I made sure to deny him. He didn't seem like a bad guy as he said doesn't want to force me, interesting fella.
Before he left, I made him give me the onigiri from the ground. He did bother asking me why he simply picked it up and gave it to me. I ate it and told him to let the little girl know that it was the best onigiri I have ever eaten.
At least his actions confirmed that he is mentally retarded, as the goofy grin on his face stretched even more, which I don't really see how that is possible, maybe my mind is playing tricks on me after not eating for so long. He laughed and he left not bothering to respond.
A couple of hours later the same weirdo came back. Told me he will go and get my swords and free me. Damn pirate, already going back on his words. I tried stopping him by screaming and cursing him, but nothing seemed to work. There were no marines in sight, so he simply strolled in the base.
He doesn't even know how my swords look or that I own three of them and it's not like I will go back on my promise. I said that I will go for one month without food here and I will make sure that I do it.
A couple of minutes later the pink haired boy came here as well, what is with people and visiting me today. The boy introduced himself as Coby. He told me how Helmeppo was planning to execute me and not follow up on his promise. That is the reason Luffy, the straw hat kid, went to search for my swords.
I was seriously pissed of at this moment, I will never die before fulfilling my promise to Kuina, however, my view on goofy kid changed. Now that I think about it, the second time he came, he told me he will free me and get me my swords, not that he will force me to join. The problem is I will be considered an outlaw if I escape, I guess I might join his crew, he doesn't seem like a bad guy.
If only Coby would hurry up and release me that would be nice, however, the boy seems to be having a lot of trouble with that. I can already see marines surrounding us and I don't see how the pink haired boy will be able to do something about them or the ropes.
I was really caught off guard when Luffy simply fell down right next to us with his stupid grin. He was also carrying all three of my swords. I wanted to ask him how he found them or how he knew which are mine, but there was no time for that.
He untied me and gave me back my swords and we managed to beat up the surrounding marines quite easily. At the very least he seems strong. I told him how Coby already informed about the situation and I decided to join his crew, I already am a fugitive after this situation so there is nothing I can lose.
I made sure to let him know I will cut him to pieces if he gets in the way of my goal. His response made me rethink if he is mentally challenged again, stating that he expects nothing less from a pirate under the Pirate King. I almost laughed at him, however, the way he said and the confidence that was radiating from him stopped me. He made me believe he is the Pirate King with a simple statement and aura he was giving off.
We didn't have much time to talk since Morgan came screaming how great he is and how the people don't give him enough recognition. This guy is a marine who is acting more like a pirate, stupid low life. I was about to cut him up when I saw Luffy simply stretching his arm and punching a few times, then he hit him harder once and knocked him out. Interesting, he just knocked out a Captain level marine so easily and it looks like he was not even trying. The way he stretched his arms as well was quite impressive, I definitely have to ask him about that ability.
Surprisingly the marines erupted into cheering after Morgan was defeated and the townsfolk followed shortly as well. I was already getting dizzy after this small exercise that we had and the screaming didn't make me feel better. We went to a small restaurant where we were given to eat as much as we wanted.
My captain formally introduced himself as Monkey D. Luffy and told me I am his first crew member. I honestly wasn't even that shocked when he told me that, I suppose I am already getting used to his antics. It was more surprising when he ate more than me and he still looked hungry.
At the very least it will never get boring with someone like him as a captain.
