101 I Hope You Consider

Singapore, Ginga Corp's branch, Kezia's office.

A sudden call came from her smartphone. She answered it and her eyes were narrowed. "He woke up? Are you sure?"

She listened to her call with frowning. She closed her eyes and leaned back on the armchair. "I'll be there immediately, tell him I'll come back soon."

She contacted her secretary, "Book the earliest flight to Osaka."

Daniel was looking at his porridge unappetizing. He didn't have the energy to finish the food. He lifted his head to the front and saw Rioko came inside the room with flowers in her hands.

"You come again," Daniel said with an indifferent tone.

"I always visit you. Didn't you remember I was the one who took care of you when you're in a coma?"

He ignored her and continued eating his disgusting porridge.

Rioko placed the flower inside the vase beside his bed. She glanced at him and said, "After this, let's walk around the hospital. The doctor recommends you to bring your stamina back by walking or exercising. I'll accompany you later."

"Leave me alone, you don't have to take care of me anymore," Daniel said with aggravating feeling. He didn't even close with this woman, why should she care so much about him? He knew her as Sarah's best friend from the past, yet he never did take a glance at her. Their relationship was ambiguous. 'Friend'? It wasn't even on that list.

Rioko folded her arms in front and retorted, "Don't complain, your mom intrust you to me. I'll take good care of you until you'll get better." He paid no attention to her. She continued, "Kezia will be here as well this afternoon."

Daniel turned his head and respond with confound tone, "Why she's the one who will be coming? Where's Sarah? I told you to call her!"

"I did call her. But, right now she's not in Japan."

"What? Where is she?" He widened his eyes shockingly. 'Did Sarah leave him?' He thought.

Rioko was sighing and she didn't know how to say it on words. What would happen if right now she told him that Sarah's married already? Even his mother couldn't bring herself to tell him that their engagement was canceled.

Rioko told herself, he needs to hear the news from Sacchan directly. She didn't want to be the punching bag of him. "She'll come tomorrow. But, I want to warn you. She's changed and about that night before the accident-"

Before she finished her sentence, all of sudden the door was opened. Kezia with her fancy orange dress and sunglasses went inside the patient room. Rioko frowned from this woman figure. Kezia took off her glasses and glanced lightly to Rioko. Signaling, to go out.

Rioko went outside with trouble feeling. She should tell him earlier. If Kezia brought another misunderstanding, the one who would suffer would be himself not Sarah. She regretted inwardly.

Only Kezia and Daniel who were inside the room. Kezia said, "How are you?"

"Why do you come here?" Daniel squinted his eyes and he didn't like this woman. If only she didn't tell him that night! His and her relationship would not be a mess! If only he didn't see that scene!

"I'm just saying to my ex-brother-in-law and a friend as well. What's so wrong about it? I miss you, that's why I want to meet you." She elaborated while strode her legs to his side. She sat down on his bed looking at him seductively. Her hand started roaming his chest but abruptly stopped by his left hand.

"Don't touch me and get off my bed." He grunted and slapped her hand. Suddenly he realized something odd. 'Did she say 'ex-brother-in-law'?' He pondered.

Kezia lifted her eyebrows when seeing his surprised face. She smirked and said, "You realized it now?"

His head became painful, he asked, "When did it happen?"

"Ask your parent yourself. It's annoying to explain. Anyway, I have a purpose here. Did you remember our promise from a year ago?"

"What?"

"Forget already? I told you that you must fulfill one of my wishes when I 'reported' to you about her, remember?"

He suddenly remember 'that' memory. He shouted at her, "Your report was rubbish! If only you didn't tell me about-"

"Even though I didn't tell you. Sooner or later someone would tell you. She was cheating and that was a fact." She leaned her face to him, she whispered. "Did she really love you?"

Daniel fell silent. A lot of scene at that night was replaying in his head. Sarah and a man on the street and then at the bar. Finally the last fragment of his memories, she was inside his car. She was trying to explain something, but he was just too emotional and closed his ears to her. They both were feeling fuddled at that night, they went to their usual villa and...

Kezia looked at his off guard face. She lifted his chin and covered his lips with her. Daniel was dumbfounded, he pushed her hard as she suddenly fell to the floor!

He wiped his lips and enraged, "What the f*ck are you doing?!"

Kezia scoffed and stood up like nothing happened to her. She placed her right hand to her waist. She said with irritating tone, "I said I like you didn't I? Did you forget about that too?" She strode to his side again and said, "Why do you still like her? She's a cheating woman. I get it you are mad, but I also know that you'll forgive whatever she did in the past. You are that kind of man. But, Daniel. Do you think you still have a chance with her?"

His heart and mind were a mess. He tried to calm down, he came back to reality when Kezia voice reached his ears again. She said, " Hey! Didn't you hear me? I said what would you do if you already lose your chance?"

"What are you trying to say?" He creased his brows down. He didn't like her tone as if she was the smart one.

"She doesn't love you anymore," Kezia stated a fact.

"What?"

"Didn't you hear from Rioko or your mom? Your ex-fiancee is married already." Kezia folded her arms. She watched Daniel's speechless and collapse expression. As if he was just got run by a truck. He held his head again. It hurts.

What happened when he was in slumber?

Why he didn't know about this shocking news?

"That man, was it the man from before? How long they were married?" He asked without looking at Kezia. His face fell lower as he grabbed his ached chest.

Kezia kept her face indifferent and said without mercy, "No, he's not. She married her new man after she came back from the dead one year ago. Surprise? To see her forget about you quickly?"

Daniel ridiculed her, "Like I believe your words again!"

"My words are always the truth. Didn't you witness it already? You will see it by yourself. Anyway, forget about her. I need you to keep your promise to me. " Kezia clarified. "I have a favor." She said while grinning, "I need you to marry me."

He glanced at her weakly, "What if I decline?"

She showed him documents filled with his company information. "Your family company will be destroyed in two seconds. I already investigated your father shady business with the underground. What should I do? Ah! I can just call the reporter to release your family involvement with illegal commodities with neighbor countries. How is it?"

He quietened and didn't respond to her. Kezia jeered from his pale face while he looked back at her confident attitude.

Two shocking news at once. He didn't know if he could take it anymore. In the end, he shouted at her, "Get out!"

"I hope you consider this, Daniel. I will wait for your answer tomorrow. If you need more time, I'm sorry, I'll release the news instantly. I'm busy, I don't have time to keep on waiting."

"Get! Out!! Leave me alone!!" He raised another voice to her. He had enough. He had enough with these bombs coming to him one by one. Kezia put her sunglasses and strode outside.

He held his head hurt and cursed inwardly. Rioko stood in front of the door after Kezia left with sprightly. Daniel buried his head into his hands.

Why this is happening to him?

Why heaven let him experience this?

Rioko stood by his side. She said, "Let's take a walk first."

He squinted his eyes and looked at her. He was covered by sweats. Rioko reached her hand to wipe his. She grabbed his head and placed it to her embrace.

Daniel was quiet and let his head rest to her. He was trembling yet no tears fall.

'I need to see Sarah.' He thought.
