65 Chapter 62 - The Start of the End
"..."
I was laying on the ground and the statue that once resided here was gone. I couldn't feel a barrier and a sense of nausea kept on coming to my mind.
"What just happened?" I said to myself.
I look around to see no change and then looked at my own body. On my shoulder, I could see a huge scar covering it.
"That's right... Zhong Yuan!"
Feeling a bit worried, I decided to contact the Demon King. Activating the magic tattoo, I started a call.
"Hello!? Hello!? Please answer!" I ask worried.
However, nothing responded back to me. Not knowing what was going on, I decided to first gather information so I teleported to the Crimson Magic Clan Village.
Once I blinked, all I saw were ruins. There wasn't any human to be seen and traces of it seemed to have disappeared. Not just that, all the sealed tourism statues seemed to have also vanished.
"No way... Don't tell me..."
Hurriedly, I activated my teleportation again to Axel. I went everywhere. Alcanretia, Elroad, even some unknown countries never mentioned. However, all of them were simply gone.
"The capital must still be standing... right?" I was having a mental breakdown.
"Teleportation!" I casted.
Once more, I appeared in the capital of Belzerg. Luckily, it was still standing. I felt so relieved, that a sense of powerlessness and relief rushed through my body.
"Mommy! Look! That boy is acting strange!" said a little girl.
"Shh-! He might be a victim!" said the girl's mom.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Touma decided to hide somewhere and buy some information using his ability.
[Heart of Gold = God's Wish]
'Huh? Did the ability's name change?' I thought.
Opening up my ability, I could see a new function that was never shown in the beginning.
[Mail Inbox - 2 Letter]
Curious, I tapped to open the letter to see this shown.
[Dear Touma,
If you're reading this, that means you finally reached my message! My fellow Gods and I devised this function so that when you finally come back, you can know that the Demon King and his Generals were defeated~! It was really weird since this random guy killed his way through their castle, but we've finally got rid of a problem! Now that this mission thing is gone, please come to me so that our wedding starts! XOXO

I got confused. What happened to the Demon King.
"Shit... It's so bitter and unsatisfying..." I muttered.
Slowly, tears were gathering up in my eyes. I didn't realize why I started crying, but I kept on wiping it off. Tears... Only a crybaby like Wolbach will cry this hard...
"Oh yeah... I forgot... She or they... Weren't they my new family?" I cried.
Bitter
How fucking unsatisfying.
"Don't be consumed by your curse," said a voice in my head.
I got started and got ready for battle only to realize nothing happened.
"Stop kid. We're in your head, remember?"
"Head? What's going on?" I said.
"Not head exactly, but... wait... did you forget?" the same voice asked.
"Forget?" I thought and answered.
Memories. Memories kept on coming. Bad ones. Scars, Zhong Yuan, Killed, Sakda, Curse. Dissatisfaction.
"Can't help it kid, but remember," the voice paused.
He cleared his throat, "You died against Zhong Yuan, the 9th Inheritor."

Touma stood still for a very long time. He was dumped a ton of information from seemingly nowhere. His 2nd letter revealed the fact that most Gods were defeated and Sakda revealed his previous incarnation separated from their reincarnation cycle and killed him, now roaming the universe.
"You should first get stronger myself. You're far to weak against someone like Zhong Yuan," said Sakda, the 2nd Inheritor.
"Why? How is he stronger?" I had to ask.
"Did you forget? He sliced you instantly and you think you can hold a candle against him? Not only does he have all of our memories and experiences, his curse and soul are incredibly strong," Sakda said.
"... Do we have to stop him?" I again asked.
"Have to? He broke our cycle of reincarnation and is probably stirring up massive destruction!" said Sakda worried.
"How does that concern us?"
Sakda was speechless. He had to explain their origin to persuade him.
"Okay kid, let me tell you a story."
According to Sakda, a long time ago, a God lived alone in solitude. Wanting something to accompany him to end his endless loneliness, he decided to steal creations from other Gods. Of course, the other Gods weren't happy with it so they warred against each other.
"By Gods... do you mean Gods from like this world?" Touma again asked another question.
A # formed on Sakda's temples.
Apparently, the Gods in this world weren't real Gods. In their respective worlds, they could be considered 'Gods', but only one God was a top of the universe.
"The Emperor God?" I tried confirming.
"... Really? That's his name? Well, I guess it's true. So basically, that was the story before the primordial era."
He didn't know how to feel. Touma was always a believer on Scientology and entering a world of magic already affected his view.
"Are you confused? Relax, for now, all you will be doing is training and earning our curses," Sakda said with a smile.
"Curses? Why would I want that?"
"These Curses are symbolic to us. It represents our life and story yet is something we hate. We all learned to accept it, except Zhong Yuan. He couldn't accept his fate so he trained, trained to the point that he could use our curses."
"But it represents your life... how can he use it?" Touma wondered.
"Did you forget? He is us and we are him. We are all just one, so we can see each other's life. Of course, we need permission and consent, but his curse allowed to exponentially increase his strength dramatically."
View my past incarnation's life? It felt weird, as if the author was ripping off Avatar. (AN: I realized how similar it was, but it's a joke)
"So... what do I do to stop him?" said Touma.
Sakda wore a sad but gentle smile, "You'll visit my Curse, Solitude."
I didn't know why, but I could sense something bitter coming off his aura.
