61 Chapter 58 - Parade
Heaven.
Above the plane of existence, it connects various worlds together under a system, supervised by powerful deities.
When deities rebel for some reason, they usually end up being sealed by their one truest god. Deities, like Eris and Aqua, aren't gods, they are beings with legends that let them take their perspective meaning.
And when people first die, their entire existence changes, surely.

Touma didn't have anything in charge to do. Except being occasional backup to the Demon King's daughter in the battlefield, he was pretty much like Duke, Celestina, Vanir, Wiz, and everyone else.
"Hey Touma, isn't there anything else you can do other than laze around?" asked the Demon King.
"Not really..." I said.
Flipping over some more documents, the Demon King revealed a troubled expression.
"Seriously... Why are all my subordinates weirdos..." he sighed.
I looked confused.
"I'm weird?"
"In a way, yes. However, I didn't meant specifically you. It's just that my daughter won't stop rampaging," he said.
I had a foreboding sense of danger.
"Why don't you go to the capital and supervise her?" the Demon King asked all friendly.
I ran to the nearest window and jumped out.
"Bye-!" I shouted while falling.
"You lazy scumbag! Just do me a favor-!" he said distressed.

After a long time persuasion, he convinced me to go under the condition of paying me and that I had complete freedom on what I wanted to do. However, I had to protect his daughter if she was in any danger.
"Teleportation," I chanted.
I could have wasted SP points, but I decided on buying them instead.
I've teleported somewhere near the capital and walked my way to the gate. Since I was still human and I could mask my titles, nothing suspicious was noticed and I was given entry.
"Ah... it's been a long time..." I looked around.
I was watching the passerby walking around, adventurers hurrying up to the guild, and knights patrolling the area. However, it seemed that there wasn't that many people here.
I walked to a mom holding her child.
"Hello, do you why there isn't that many people here today?" I asked.
"Oh, it's because there's an event today. Today there will be a parade for the royalty."
"Do you know where it will be hosted?"
"It will be from the central city to the gate leading to the demon's territory."
After giving my thanks, I started running to central city. There was a security check needed so that I could pass, but I just rather hypnotized them and went inside.
Inside, everyone was staring at the knights marching and a monument being carried in the middle. On it was the king and queen with the prince close to their side.
"Everyone! Silence!" the King roared with might.
I didn't know Kings could do this.
"Today, we're going to announce two important things. One is troubling while the other one is extremely depressing."
Everyone was a bit confused, but they chose the less troubling one.
"The news is, if you guys went to fight against the demons, it was shown that there is a new demon general," he pronounced clearly.
Everyone nodded.
"The worst news is, my daughter will fight in the sidelines!" he started weeping.
Everyone smiled wryly including the prince.
"Dear! Stop crying!" she smacked the King, "You'll disgrace ourselves!"
"But- but- it's our daughter!" his tears rolled down his face.
The King was a daughter-con apparently. (AN: There's nothing revealed about the King in Konosuba except that he's strong.)
Under the King's platform, where the prince resided, a curtain opened up. Walking out of it, a young girl of twelve came out.
"Otou-san, let's make a deal please. I won't fight against the demons yet, but once I defeat a strong opponent, you'll let me help our cause," said princess Iris.
She was a bit nervous since her knees were shaking, but I could see her determination.
The King then manned up and muttered, "If you never meet a strong opponent, she'll never leave."
I could hear because of my stats, but the other adventurers couldn't. Then, the Queen kneed the King's gut, making him fall down.
"Let's finish up the ceremony, shall we?" the Queen said.
Iris then suited up in her armor and a glowing sword and declared how she will defeat the demons. After that, the ceremony was basically finished and after some few hours, they were walked back to their castles.
'Is that actually the royalty...' I thought.
Feeling that they weren't that strong, I decided to attack them tonight.

Using my stealth skills, I walked on the roofs of the buildings unnoticed. It was highly guarded with squads of guards roaming and patrolling. Getting inside the castle seemed easy. It was just protected a high wall and gate, but with my stats I could probably jump over it somehow. Dashing to the wall, I jump and dug in my fingers into the wall and like a spider, I crawled up.
"Hey, did you hear that?" a guard asked.
"Hear what?" said another guard.
"No, nevermind."
I took in consideration of sound and silently entered the castle. Not knowing the layout of the building, I just went to the highest part of the castle.
"No windows?" I thought out loud.
Using my inventory, I removed some castle bricks to make a hole so that I could enter. Entering, I closed up the hole from earlier.
Looking around, I saw that I was in a corridor and a door was in front.
"Who's there?" a girl asked.
Opening the door up, was princess Iris coming out.
"What a pity..." I said, cracking my fingers.
Today, a life had to be lost.
