60 Chapter 57 - Demon Generals

Ragcraft told me the details regarding his policy change. He went in detail of what he was going to do which I already knew, and that in a few months, Belzerg will send a representative to try to resume their relationship.

In return, I gave Ragcraft complete power over the humans I took over with my magic. He was insanely happy, because first, I lowered his work time. He used to work 24/7 everyday, but now that everyone that worked under him, he could just abuse them.

Ignoring his insane laughter, I felt a weird tinge on my hand. The tattoo was glowing black and Ragcraft noticed it.

"You should go back to the demon territory. The Demon King is calling you probably. He'll just bring you back with teleportation magic so no need to travel," he informed.

"Ah, thanks!"

After some few more glows, I was once again inside the demon king's castle.

"This place can't stop amazing me every time..." I muttered.

I looked around to see some different faces. One was a huge dark knight holding his head, a gentleman with a weird mask, a woman with hair stubs on her chin, and a ordinary adventurer man. What surprised me the most was the shop owner Wiz here.

"Ara-! Isn't this Touma-san?" Wiz exclaimed.

"Today, I brought you guys all here for one reason, we got a new team member!" the Demon King yelled in excitement.

Suddenly, demons came in and brought us all into a diner. In it, we were served very weird dishes from the best demon cooks.

"Toast-!" yelled the Demon King.

"Toast-!" everyone else said.

I was still in shock, trying to know what was going on.

"Touma-san, please try some food-!" said Wiz shyly.

"I can't even eat..." said Beldia sadly.

"Moi only eats emotions of shame, Demon King-!" yelled Vanir angrily.

It was a weird to behold. An uncle chugging alcohol alongside Hans, the wizards eating normally, and weird side comments from the other demon generals. Overall, it was a happy scene.

Someone smacked my back hard.

"C'mon! Eat some more!" said the Demon King who came aside me.

Merrily chugging some more beer with Hans, the started dancing. Beldia, on the other hand decided to join in to have some fun.

"Vanir-san... please stop-!" said Wiz with red cheeks.

Vanir, a devil duke, could only eat through dark emotions. Using his foresight, he kept on teasing Wiz and Duke with annoying comments.

"Having fun boy?" Wolbach walked up to me.

Everyone except Serena were having fun and Wolbach decided to come to me.

"Usually, I'll be drinking or playing with others, but you seem kinda lonely," she said.

"I don't understand, why are we doing this?" I asked.

Her eyes opened in surprise and returned to normal.

"The Demon King noticed something, you're different from us. You could be like Duke who hates all of us, but something inside you was inherently different. So he's trying to give you something of a family," she answered.

"Family..."

I was started to think of Kazuma. He had a disgusting charm that repelled others, but inwardly, he brought others together. It was the reason I decided to bond with him in the first place. However, I didn't fit in with him completely. I could tell the moment I arrived in this world, that I didn't deserve a place next to him.

"Let's have fun then! Do it for your onee-chan," she teased.

"... Sure!" I said cheerfully.

For a long time, I haven't smiled that genuinely. If I couldn't be next to my family, I would just enter another one.

"Family? You joking?"

Inside the dark endless space with red flowing everywhere, a man muttered.

"Nothing mattered. Nothing ever did and will. That's our curse, Touma."

A mountain of corpses were piling up. The man's nails were gone and blood flowed down his skin. From the mountain of corpses, the corpses started dissipating into thin air and more monsters were being spawned. A monster rushed in and stabbed with his spear like arms. The man's right eye was pierced thoroughly, yet he still stood up.

"Nothing matters, yet why am I still defying?"

He grabbed the arm that went inside him and crushed it. The monster wailed in pain and the arm was getting pulled out of his head.

"There's only so much I can do, so hurry up Touma."

The man's face started regenerating to a perfect state. Surrounded by monsters, all he could mutter was a sword's name and charge.

'I'm a sin...'

Touma woke up from a bad dream. Ever since the party that took place two weeks ago, he couldn't stop imagining weird dreams. The same dream over and over again, with the latest one being more clearer than the previous one.

"Are you okay, Touma?" asked Wolbach.

Since the party, I've grown closer to every demon general, especially Wolbach. I don't know why, but she had a weird attachment on me, calling me slothful yet not. I didn't quite get it, but I'm guessing it has something to do with her divinity being related to violence and sloth.

"I'm fine..." I pushed her hand away from me.

The next process of my mission in Elroad was for the assassination of Belzerg's representatives. However, the Demon King was satisfied with my results and sent me to the borders with Wolbach to make a name for myself. Since I came with Wolbach, the goddess of violence and sloth, I've became her 'assistant', Acedia, representation of negligence and listlessness.

"Didn't you get such a cool name?" Wolbach giggled.

"It's cool, but I feel a weird connection with it... It gives me chills," I said back.

I fought against many strong foes with Wolbach. Her tactic of using explosion magic and teleportation was handy for transport. We will usually teleport, I will fight against some foes, she uses her magic, and we'll teleport to safety. It was cheese, but I enjoyed thinking of their reactions with Wolbach.

"Wasn't that fun, Touma?" she laughed.

I took of my mask. It was a mask Wolbach gave me which was a tiny circle all the way below inside another circle that wrapped around my face.

"We went a bit too far this time. I almost got ourselves caught!" I exhaled.

"It wasn't?" Wolbach went puppy-eyed.

"It was, nee-chan. You happy?" I complied.

"Um-!" she exclaimed.

After many battles against Belzerg's King and Prince, I finally realized how overpowered those barbarians were. If you were to mix tons of heroes' bloodlines inside the royalty, wouldn't you have made a perfect hero already?

Wolbach only has enough magic capacity for one explosion and three teleportation each day making her highly inflexible, while I could only dodge and attack quick, my fortes. I was indeed strong, but I wouldn't be able to come out unscathed from spammed Exterion, Sacred Lightning Blare, and Sacred Explode with overpowered weapons.

However, I did profit form killing other humans. I didn't think it will be possible, but humans do give out lots of experience.

"I should invest some money..." I muttered tiredly.

"Are you fine, Touma? Let's get some rest tonight and go out tomorrow!" she said, princess carrying me back to camp.

Once I laid down on my bed, I opened up my ability.
