36 Chapter 34 - Philosopher Stone and Homunculus

After my business in Dublith, Greed revealed to me some important facts. First, Father's barrier that powers Amestris' alchemy is avoidable. First, through the use of Alkahestry, in which I do use, and philosopher stones. I then arrive at Central City and go back to my hidden laboratory.

'Equivalent exchange... In the anime, Edward turned and used his body as a philosopher stone. So then, can I use my body then?' Remembering Edward healing himself or escaping from Gluttony, I get a knife.

Trying out an experiment, I cut my finger and drew a transmutation circle on my forehead. If Father is powered by souls, can my alchemy be powered by my soul or something else?

'This should do it.' I thought.

On my forehead, there was first a circle with Chinese texts Qinggan (emotion) and Jiyi (memory). Another circle inside of it with the three primes: body, soul, spirit. In it were four triangles making a sun looking shape. And inside of it, there was a plus symbol representing all elements. If different theories work regarding alchemy, mine could work too. Re-arranging atoms or even further, quarks, leptons, and bosons, the base materials for atoms could be made.

Finishing the circle, I decide to create something. Since alchemist's goals is to find a way to make gold or to create a philosopher stone, I decided to make gold out of thin air. Since gold's atomic structure was 79 protons and neutrons and 118 neutrons, I just needed to fuse lead with other materials with the energy of something of a supernova or just remove some atom parts of mercury or something.

In my past life this was possible to do with a particle accelerator or a nuclear reactor scientifically. Simply just getting particles and insert them into something like lead or splitting the atom by removing some particles and the atom turning to gold should work in theory. Readying up, I put a finger on my forehead to realize something.

'Wait, why am I using my energy reserves? Can't I just exhaust all of Father's energy?' I thought to myself.

Taking my finger off my forehead, I instead drew a simple transmutation circle by tracing on the ground. It was called the Squared Circle, a circle that was in a square which was in a triangle which again was in a circle. In my previous lives, it symbolized the philosopher stone.

'Let's extract some souls from Father...' Putting my hands on to it, energy coarse through my hands as if it were blood.

'Feels like mana or something, but something entirely different.' Slowly, a red crystal started materializing in front of me. It was a philosopher stone, energy I stole from Father's reserves.

In a dark room, a figure was jolted from his seat. Opening his eyes, he seemed scared.

"What the...I'm losing my energy quickly!" Father then got off the throne, blocked his energy from being accessed everywhere in Amestris. Alchemist around the nation realized their experimentation stopped.

"Let's see what happens..." Putting their hands on the circle, you could see Edward and Alphonse testing out a simple circle. Unexpectedly, nothing happened.

"Sensei! Why isn't the circle working?" Edward asked.

Izumi came over to check what was going on. Placing her hands on the circle, nothing actually happened.

"That's weird." Clasping her hands, she places her hands on the ground and a spear was made.

'Did something happen?' Looking on the horizon, she thought of Kyofu doing something abnormal.

"Tch... he stopped my experiment." Feeling how I couldn't get any more souls from Father, I just pick up the souls I stole.

"So...this is the philosopher's stone?" Observing it closely with my eye, I could see red faces inside of it.

"Then, lets try something else." Clasping my hands, I though of making a mini Alkahestric Reverse using the stone. Slamming my hands down, a red spark went everywhere and I could feel something coming out of the ground.

'Is this true energy?' Feeling the clean energy around the air, it felt something completely different that what stone gave off. However, sensing the energy stop releasing, Father must have redone his barrier.

"So he realized..." Using my old emotion storage, I take in all the energy that was released.

[Emotion Storage - All the World's Evil *Limited*, World's Essence(45) ]

"Ah, feels good to feel stuff... So are you guys coming out yet?" Sensing something approaching me, I spoke out.

"Seems you noticed us. I thought I could easily just assassinate you." spoke an aged man.

"What do we have here?" Looking around, I see five figures surrounding me. It was five of the seven sins: Wrath, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, and Pride.

"Let's get this over with." spoke the child.

"Be careful Ishvalan!" warned Envy.

Knowing I would be in a pinch without alchemy, I put the philosopher stone in my mouth. Taking my gloves out, I wear them again and summon my sword and gun out.

"Limited energy and martial arts? Bring it on!" I laugh while suddenly blinding everyone.

Everyone covers their eyes except King Bradley who rushes in for a swift kill. He was holding two swords with four more on his back. I then take my sword out of my sheath and my glove of light activated. Seeing this, Bradley jumps back quickly, only for his two swords to break easily.

"Oh, what's this?" King Bradley notices my sword glowing and sparkling with electricity.

"Oh this? EMR. Don't look though, it's bad for you." More specifically, my glove wasn't just the creation of light, it also affects with the Electromagnetic Spectrum. Using my glove, I could create different electromagnetic radiations of my choosing.

"Light? Then I'll counter that." Pride stated sinisterly. His shadows coming from everywhere, the extend to try to pierce and bind me.

I hop back away from the shadows and see Gluttony and Lust coming over, attacking me.

"Too sad. You guys are pitiful against me." Aiming my gun, I shoot my gun twice, activating my sound glove, and my bullets turn their body to mesh. Sensing with my soul what's next, I feel Envy crawling to me as a snake.

"Stay dead, will you? Unyou! Five in one second." I slashed my sword 5 times, leaving him to regenerate.

"You're quite the persistent fellow. However, I didn't know an Ishvalan would abandon his code, especially the ex-head monk of the temple warriors." said Wrath.

"Well, you're in luck. I was never a believer in god in the first place!" I shouted will shooting a bullet to Pride who deflected it.

"I walked on this path and became stronger. It was my effort that guided me here and I will meet Truth!" I grinned.

Wrath then smiled a crazy smile.

"You know? I always hated religion because they weaken humans, but you're different! You're something I admire! Come! Join us!" laughed Wrath maniacally.

"Not gonna lie, I am on board your idea. Come, why don't you join us? We can make you an immortal homunculus." agreed Pride.

Seeing that everyone recovered from their wounds, I laughed.

"Really? Then what sin am I? I met Greed a while ago so I can't be him. And being immortal doesn't sound that appealing." said Zhong Yuan.

"We'll figure that out later. However, I didn't know you didn't want to be immortal. How is that so?" asked Pride.

"Why would an immortal want to become immortal again? My soul is so immensely powerful that I don't need to rely on something like those stones. Now, stop the bickering and chit-chat and let's get the fight going!" I declared.

Rushing to Pride, I brighten my sword with my glove.

"That won't work! I absorb light and use shadows to create these tentacles!" said Pride.

"What if it was too bright? Taste this! Unyou - Quasar!" I shout while shooting an extremely bright light.

Everyone eyes were blinded, except King Bradley's left eye. They all felt the burning sensation on their bodies until the light ended. However, when they tried regenerating, they realized their cells were growing in an incredible rate.

"What's this?" "Something is going on!" shouted the homunculus.

Pride, after receiving the front of the attack, was in a comatose state and knocked out. In the other hand, the other homunculus were growing abnormal tumors on their body.

"What did you do to my body!" panicked Lust as her boobs and body grew immensely and grotesquely.

"My body! It hurts!" cried Gluttony while his body expanded like a balloon.

"Aren't you lucky King Bradley? Not having superhuman regeneration isn't that bad of a thing after all I guess." I chuckled.

"What did you do to them?" questioned Bradley angrily.

"You don't have to worry. Just wait a few months or years and you'll see your result," I said.

The reason why Pride or Wrath didn't change was their physique. Pride's true form is just a bunch of shadows inside a container, meaning he wouldn't die while Wrath was affected. However, it would take a longer process since he couldn't regenerate instantaneously like the other homunculus. Gluttony, and Lust were all affected since they could regenerate.

"Now, now. I think it's time for you to come out Envy." I lightly smile.

Coming out of the sewer water as a snake, he transformed back to a human and was crying.

"It's not fair! How are you this strong!" he cried.

"I'm sorry, but truth is fair and cruel." I aim my gun to his head.

"You fell for it!" Envy sadistically smiled as he turned his limbs into snakes. They all restrained me and bit me, inserting a paralyzing poison. Feeling this run through my body, I hide my smile and drop down.

"Too easy. You humans fall for this trick so easily. How stupid must you be to let your guard down?" said Envy.

"Wrath! Come and help me restrain him." Envy shouted while King Bradley walked and stabbed in with all the swords he had, holding me down. Envy then switched his body into his true monstrous lizard form.

"Guess I'll bring these guys back." Envy sighing, he grabbed Lust, Gluttony, and Pride and put them on his back.

"Wrath! Put him under my skin!" and Wrath complied by sticking me under the lizards disgusting body.

Let's go back to Father. We got a human sacrifice ready." Wrapping up, Wrath and Envy walked back through the sewers of Central City, going deep down the city.
