31 Chapter 29 - The Passing of Time

Due to mine and Hohenheim's identity, we didn't age at all while we saw the Rockbells grow older. With my future knowledge regarding electronics, I made a camera to take photos occasionally. I took photos of myself with Hohenheim, alchemy photos, some family photos, and most importantly, photos regarding the birth of children.

I went around the world sometimes to have some fun. During this, I decided to take photos with important characters' family. I had one of Urey Rockbell, Trisha Elric, Roy Mustang and his followers. I decided to put these photos in different albums. The photos of alchemy in one and the other contained me.

Slowly, Trisha grew up and later married to Hohenheim. He, for the first time, wasn't that addicted to Alchemy and spent more time with her. Since they were married, they needed more space. They expected me to move out, but being alone, I just constructed another floor on their house and some extra gadgets. With these gadgets, I started selling them, making a small profit and becoming the town's mechanic and engineer.

Of course, with nothing really to do except waiting for the plot to start, I started making my own transmutation circle weapon. Currently with my stats, there wasn't much that could defeat me. I had my swordsmanship for offense and defense, All the World's Evil for crowd control, and I had my magic for versatility. Not just that, I enhanced my body and soul to the point I was indestructible, super fast, and could sense anyone around me. Needing something that will make me even stronger was hard to think of.

"Why don't you try improving your versatility? Honestly, if only your magic could help, then you need to try something else." (Hohenheim)

Knowing this, I tried making armor pieces that would help move around. I first started of making shoes. However, I realized shoes weren't that important to me when I fought so I first started increasing their durability and it's comfortableness. Honestly, it was quite stupid of me to waste time making clothing, but it was pretty fun to experience. So I started using the wool in this village to sew myself a brand new coat.

"That inscription should be pretty good..." (Zhong Yuan)

I put a two transmutation circles that would activate at any given moment it was struck. The moment it was struck, the kinetic energy would be stored and potential energy I could use for my benefit, which was released through the other circle. Honestly, it was a rip-off of black panther's costume, but I used it as a means movement. I would gather potential energy as I moved and I could release it on any part of my body to accelerate myself. I also made myself a mask with materials so dark that light couldn't go through it. Honestly, it felt like a mask only a Laughing Coffin member would use.

'Marvel can't sue me in a different world... right? Eh, whatever." (Zhong Yuan)

I gave my old cloak to Hohenheim who really liked it. I wondered why my old cloak from SAO lasted so long since it didn't have much benefits to me except that it looked really badass when worn. In those days, me and attire scared so many PK'ers.

Sooner or later, Urey and Sara marry and become famous doctors in this town. It was quite amusing to see their wedding, but it was quickly forgotten. Though I did get some *snap* *snap* for my amusement.

It was the year 1999, where the protagonist Edward and Winry was born. I was invited by Hohenheim of course who saw me as a brother and took many photos. To his request, I did put it in an album, but with his face a bit blurred or worn out. One year later, Alphonse was born too and I had to take even more photos for Hohenheim.

'Seriously... why does he want so many photos even though he gets blurred out...' (Zhong Yuan)

I spent most of my time doing akhestry and I sometimes babysit-ted the little boys. It was quite cute and I enjoyed most of my days, but they exploited the fact I adored them to give them whatever they wanted.

"Kyofu! Stop spoiling them too much! They are still children and we don't want the boys to be like this when they grow up!" (Trisha)

"Well, well. Kyofu, do me a favor and stop making toys..." (Hohenheim)

"Well boys, I have to go! See ya!" (Zhong Yuan)

"Uncle Kyofu! Please teach me alchemy later!" (Edward)

"I didn't hear you!" (Zhong Yuan)

I ran off upstairs and locked the door with a key. The moment I entered my laboratory, my face went from joyful to serious.

"The Ishval Civil War has finally started..." (Zhong Yuan)

Knowing that I might soon be persecuted by the military, I made a metal mold of my key door.

'I hope this time, they might become smarter...' (Zhong Yuan)

I get the metal mold, cut out a park of a random book's inside and put the mold in. I then open my door, lock it again and leave the book on the highest shelf.

'Reach this Edward!' (Zhong Yuan)

Being childish for the last time, I go up to Hohenheim.

"We need to talk... privately..." (Zhong Yuan)

"...Trisha, send the kids away for a moment."

Trisha complies and Edward and Alphonse were carried away.

"It's coming... Homunculus are making Philosopher Stones through the blood of the Ishvalans. It's time for me to go finally." (Zhong Yuan)

"I guess it's time... I also leave three years later to find a way to destroy these stones. You see, Trisha is dying and I want to pass away with her." (Hohenheim)

"Oh, don't worry much though. While I was here, I decided to make vaccines to help her anti-body." (Zhong Yuan)

"...what did you feed her?" (Hohenheim)

"You know, medicine." (Zhong Yuan)

"Thanks for giving me some more time, but I'll still go out soon. We need to stop another Nation-wide Transmutation from happening ever again." (Hohenheim)

"Yeah. Then... I'll see you later..." (Zhong Yuan)

I was walking to the door until Hohenheim spoke out.

"Don't forget it! You still have us, and I will always be your brother!" (Hohenheim)

Seeing his pathetic state, I just smiled back at him.

"Don't be like that. It's not like I'll change. Well, bye brother."

I started walking back out and my coat fluttered through my small steps that covered vast territories. Since wherever I was, I could still resonate with them.

"Guess I'll go see Scar before it's too late."
