9 Chapter 9 - The Knights of the Blood and Yuna

There used to be a powerful squad called the Aincrad Liberation Squad. However, during its boss fight on the 25th's floor, half of their members were annihilated and suddenly, an emergence of a powerful guild grew. It was called Knights of the Blood, led by a famous player Heathcliff who made their debut in the 26th floor boss.

By now, the front line has reached 30th floor and Kirito is part of the Moonlit Black Cats

"Let's see some news... Knight of the Blood fought a field boss, an emerging front line guild called the Moonlit Black Cats, and failure of Nautilus in leading the front lines. What's left?" said Zhong Yuan as he swiped to the next piece of information.

'Famous player Savior being gone since floor 25.'

"Oh wait... that's me!" Grinning, I open up the article.

'We have identified that ever since floor 25, what we call our "savior" is actually the infamous troll since the early start of the game...' Immediately, I closed the screen.

"Guess being a celebrity is hard isn't it? Life is filled with ups and downs that I don't even know if I can last anymore..."

Ever since his last appearance in floor 25, a clue has been found regarding the last stat.

"God damn it! I've been for almost a month without finding any clue or hint about this dumb stat!" Not knowing what else to do, I've walked all around the 25th floor. Walking for a few hours, I sat down on a rock depressed, not knowing what to do next.

"Hey you! Are you okay?"

Hearing this melodic voice, I raised my head up to see a beautiful girl with short milk-tea-brown hair.

"Excuse me, do you need something?"

"Oh no." I refuted. "I've just been struggling with a quest I got."

"He he he~ I've seen you in this floor more than once before you know? It has been more than 1 week since I've seen you. Do you want some candy to cheer up?"

Not knowing what to say, I've thanked her for the candy and received it. Popping them in my mouth, I tasted something I haven't eaten for days: fruit.

"Are these by any change medicine? I just got a buff of healing in my tab."

"Oh these? These are lozenges I intake when my throat gets sore. You see, it's my dream to sing to an audience and cheer them up and you are my first fan!"

"...what's your name then?"

Smiling purely, she responds.

"Yuna."

For some few days, Yuna has been accompanying me in my quest to find magic.

"Hey~ didn't we look around for at least four days since we met? I want to go back to town."

"Sure, you can go back alone. I'll still be looking for it though."

"*Humph* Don't cry for me to come back if you're lonely then!"

Right after her sentence, I've sprinted quickly away from her.

"Wait! Wait! I was joking! Come back!"

Teasing Yuna, I stood on a field of flowers waited for her to come back to me.

"*pant* *pant*... This wasn't funny!"

"Sorry, but I found it funny."

And right after, I've made a maiden cry.

"Zhong Yuan! You meanie! You're no longer my #1 fan!"

So for at least 10 minutes, I tried to console her from leaving her alone. Patting her back, I noticed her tears gather up into a big tear drop.

"Yuna! Do you see that? Your tears are gathering up!"

Yuna suddenly stopped crying and saw her gathering up. Once she stopped crying and when all of it gathered up in one drop, a bright light descended upon them. After getting used to the light, I opened my eyes and saw a field of shiny clusters floating around with little fairies dancing. And then, a fairy with crown materialized.

"Welcome player. You have finally ended this quest by showing compassion, endurance, and her tears. Now, I will give you one wish-."

"Get me out of the game," I cut her off.

"That is beyond my reach, but instead of that I can give you money, equipment, a powerful sword, or open up your secret stat permanently."

"... open up my magic stat." I said confidently.

"Your wish is granted. And for her, I'll give her a skill." Once she said her sentence, all the light and fairies disappeared in an instant.

[*ding* You unlocked magic!]
