271 Woya and Uzil’s wedding
John arrives at his brothers house to perform the wedding of Astila's mother. His family decide to come along as well including Cora and Winona's brother. He hopes that Woya is not overwhelmed by their numbers but her children are family and that makes her family. They decorated Onacona's garden with what seemed like a million twinkle lights, the tents and tables are all done up in white and blue for Uzil's colors. Astila retrieved his and Aisling's wedding clothes from the museum as a surprise for his mom. Salali and Charlie were fixing Woya's hair when he came in with the boxes. Astila looks with tenderness at his mother as she smiles into the mirror.
"Mom , I brought you your wedding dress, I hope that you will like it. It belonged to one of Aisling's ancestors." He opens the box to show her the doeskin dress with matching beaded moccasins. He hands Charlie and Salali the jewelry for the hair as he pulls out the dress. Woya looks at the exquisite dress with tears in her eyes. Looking at Astila she asks.
"You say Aisling's ancestor wore this dress. I have not asked much about her but this is the most beautiful doeskin dress I've seen." Woya touches the dress almost afraid she will damage it by just touching.
"Onacona's mother made it for his sister when she married a Spanish trapper. We wore them when we did our tribal marriage. I truly do not know why we did three weddings only that Aisling wanted to show respect for each of the cultures in her family. Aisling's grandfather was the medicine man for many years he was the nephew of Unole. So you see she is a big part of our tribe's history and she went back in time to save Unole's wife and child during the trail of tears. I sent Yona to give Uzil the grooms clothing already. Today we will be combining all of the traditions so that the children can see how their heritage's have melded together." "I brought you your wedding clothes, they are from Aisling's ancestors. Astila and Aisling wore them on their tribal wedding day. I hope they fit and that you like them. I know that things may be a little strange today we are melding all of the families cultures today. Aisling wanted to show both mother and the children how they all work together in harmony. "I think it is a wonderful idea, traditions and heritage is important and showing how the differences can be celebrated and work in harmony is a blessing. In this world people see differences as something to be feared and ridiculed. By showing your children that they are harmonious and have similar meanings you are removing a prejudice. After falling in love with your mother a part of me changed those many years ago. I found myself wanting to find commonality between us something that I could teach Molimo. I know I failed in so many ways and he is not the most loving man but he is learning and so am I ." Uzil tells Yona. Yona starts to laugh and asks if they can chat.

This family changes everyone they meet. Just because of their kindness and respect they show to everyone. Now I could not ever imagine how I lived as such a cold man before. I think that Molimo will be changed quickly for the better especially since Lotus Dove and Lilli all have taken such a liking to their uncle. They show the best of the fathers values at all times. The only thing I can tell you is never make the women angry if you do you will not survive. Those soft loving women are hell on wheels when angry." Yona excuses himself and leaves Uzil to get ready. Going down stairs he sees his beautiful wife looking gorgeous in her wedding attire smiling lovingly at her resting his hand on the swell of her pregnant belly. He asks Remi.

"this is grandmother and grandfather's day so you grownups need to behave . Do not embarrass us please." Alex grumbling at his parents. Tannis giggles at her cousin and pats his head.
" You just wait , when you grow up and find your true love your going to be worse. I already know your going to have a dozen kids." All the children laugh at Alex because he prides himself on how much control he has over his emotions. Just the thought of him losing it is funny to them.
The ceremony begins , Astila and Yona stand on each side of Woya as they play the wedding March. They walk her to meet Uzil under the flowering arch . John asks
" who gives this woman to this man?" Looking at Yona who answers
"My siblings and I do." Kissing his mothers cheek Yona places Woya's hand in Uzil's. Astila nods and kisses his mothers cheek. Taking their places beside their brother Molimo who is acting as best man. Salali Aisling and Remi walk to the front. Aisling and Remi place a blanket around the couple. Onacona walks forward and says a blessing over the couple.
"this blanket represents your union as husband and wife it is a blanket of coving your past lives in forgiveness and bringing new love and respect to your future." Onacona's words bring peace to the couple as they know that their pasts have been troubled ones. Crystal ,Lotus and Lilli come to join their mothers they have a delicate golden rope. With this rope they weave a intracate pattern of loops around the couples hands. Crystal tells them.
" This rope is the thread that joins your fates and hearts together binding them for eternity a constant thread of love that will survive every twist and turn in your future may the blessing from the four corners of the universe come to you." Kissing each of them the three girls go to stand with their mothers. John begins his part.
"We are here to celebrate the joining of Uzil and Woya . They who have traveled the path of life towards each other in faith and trust. They have had a long and troubled journey and through it they have prevailed in their love. May I have the rings?" John looks at Salali she hands him the ring box.
" the circle of the rings shows us that life and love is never ending. These rings show that you are committed to each other."handing Uzil a ring.
"Uzil do you take Woya as your wedded wife to love her and protect her until death do you part." Placing the ring on her finger next to the one from the father Uzil says
"I do." Handing Woya the ring for Uzil John asks.
"Woya do you take Uzil as your wedded husband to love and protect till death do you part?" Woya places the ring on his finger and says.
"I do ." John looks at the couple and says " you may now kiss your bride." Uzil leans down and kisses Woya deeply. The garden erupted in cheers as the couple was wed. Everyone gathered around to congratulate the couple . Molimo smiles at his parents who look so happy hoping that they will have many years of happiness. They feel a great loving warmth flow through the garden as a shimmering light shines over the couple. It is the Father giving them his blessing. Uktena and Morrigan smile brightly as the father made his presence known. Woya and Uzil has a big surprise coming but for now they are the happiest than thry have ever been.
