159 Concert time
Aisling was feeling a little down still over Eliza . To her it's so sad that a life was taken even if it was just an accident. Knowing that she was able to crossover happy warmed her heart. She sighed looking at the dresses that Maureen packed they all are maternity dresses. She has only a small belly still despite having twins. Hopefully the clothes will not look to big. She takes her time putting on her make up and looks at the Asian style satin dress. Shrugging her shoulders she puts it in. She is surprised that even though it's a maternity dress it hugs her body in the right places while hiding her stomach. The deep green and gold of the dress makes her eyes sparkle. She looks stunning even to her own eyes. Smiling at her self in the mirror she takes a deep breath and walks out to greet her date.
Astila is waiting for Aisling he is a little nervous because he asked Maureen to pack her maternity clothes. She will be wearing them for the first time tonight. Hopefully she will not be upset about his request. He knows that she has been reluctant to buy anything or even wear anything to do with them yet. Aisling walks out of the bathroom and he sees her. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. The dress is perfect. Picking up the matching smock he places it around her shoulders. Whispering to her that she is beautiful. As they walk through the casino to get to the concert hall. The couple are getting a lot of stares. Not just because they are so stunning by their contrast but because Aisling's dress is something most have not seen. As they pass a table game an elderly woman stops her.
"My dear may I ask where you were able to find such a beautiful hanfu dress?" Aisling smiles and tells her.
"I found it in the attic the other day. I was looking for maternity clothes. I am not sure where it came from. My aunt is from South Korea maybe it's hers. " the lady smiles at her and asks if she can take a peek at the collar. Aisling turns and she looks at the collar. Not seeing any type of tag she looks at the hem of the smock.
"This has been hand made. You can't buy it in the store like this one. See how the folds at the belly hides it. The person made this dress specifically for pregnancy. It's gorgeous. Your beautiful in it. " the lady pulls out a jade hair pin from her purse and places it in Aisling's hair.
"now it's perfect. Enjoy your night and I hope you are blessed with a healthy child. The dress reminds me of my grandmother . She only wore traditional clothing so sad that kids these days don't cherish tradition. " with that she takes her seat again and they get on the elevator to go to the hall. Once there they see the singer giving autographs . Astila and Aisling go over to get his autograph and to meet him. He notices right away that Astila is from Tennessee. They begin to talk about the area and his eyes stay on Aisling while they chat. They get their cd and head to their seats. They are in the first row Aisling is super excited for the concert to start. It's not long and the lights are going down and a spotlight is on the curtain. Out comes the announcer to introduce the artist. Astila is surprised that Aisling liked heavy metal music. When the music starts she starts to chair dance. He can't help but smile at her as she moves to the music in her seat. If they were not in a theater she would probably stand up and begin to dance. Her enjoyment was contagious the young man beside her begin to chat her up as they began to sing along with Brett. Brett moves from the stage and into the audience. Aisling holds her breath when she sees him come from the stage hoping he will come towards her. She begins to bounce around as he gets closer to her seat. He reaches out his hand to her and pulls her up to the stage. When the song is over he asks her.
"where are you from?" Aisling answers right away
"Harpers Ferry West Virginia." Putting my hand over my chest to keep my heart from jumping out. I can't believe I am standing here in front of all of these people with him. I need to calm down I don't know if something will happen or not if I don't. I take a few deep breaths and calm my mind .
Brett looks at this gorgeous woman who stood out among everyone. Looking at her he asks.
"would you mind singing a duet with me. "
she nods yes not trusting her voice at this moment.
he begins to sing beautiful soul. Aisling joins him. Her voice harmonized with his beautifully . He listens to her voice and stops singing . The audience can only hear this angelic voice . She is standing there her eyes closed and just singing his song as if it was hers. When the last note was sung she opened her eyes blushing. The room erupted into a standing ovation. She looks at him puzzled and whispers to him
"why did you stop singing?" He leans in and kissed her cheek and whispered back.
"your voice sounded better than mine. So I let them hear an angel sing." With that he takes her hand and starts to sing not letting her go. When she started to go back to her seat. The band began to play one of her favorite songs and she automatically began to seay to the music. Everyone began to cheer. Except for her husband. Astila is wondering if he is going to have to forcibly get his wife back. After the next song Brett walks her to her seat and kissed her cheek again thanking her for making this show so much more special. Shaking Astila's hand he thanks him for letting him borrow his wife. The heading back up on stage to finish the show. Aisling was walking on clouds the rest of the night. When the show was over one of the ushers asked them to stay behind for a few extra minutes. Brett and a few other members came out to greet them.
" I wanted to thank you again for being such a good sport and getting up on stage with me. It was a surprise to me that you had such an exquisite voice. Have you thought about singing professionally?" Aisling shakes her head and laughs.
"I am not the best singer. If you want to hear a real professional voice you should hear my cousin Remi she is beyond amazing." Brett finds that hard to believe that there is someone much better than she is. Her voice has a very special quality to it. Seeing that he is not believing her she calls Remi. She winks at Astila.
"Remi Astila and I are arguing over how a sing goes can you sing it for me so I can prove I'm right?Please please. " she places the phone on speaker and Remi begins to sing beautiful soul. Her voice rings clear and sultry through the phone. Aisling is getting goosebumps listening to her. For Astila it's the first time really hearing her sing he is amazed at how she sounds. Brett looks at his band and their mouths are open saying wow. When Remi finished she heard Brett not Aisling answer.
"Hmm miss how would you like to come to my record studio ,
and talk to someone about singing professionally?Your amazing on the phone I can't even imagine what you would sound like in Person ."
Remi yells through the phone
"Aisling who are you with?"
Aisling chuckles and tells Remi.
"Remi you just sang for Brett Michaels and he loves your voice. I'm sorry I tricked you but he had me on stage and we were supposed to sing together. Half way through he stopped. He said he liked my voice I was just honest and told him my voice paled in comparison to yours. So I asked you to sing."
Remi blushes and decides she needs to get her back for this when she gets home.
"Aisling you just better know that it's payback when you get home . You know that I've only been talking for a few weeks and my voice is not up to standard yet. How could you let me sing in front of someone when my voice isn't even good yet." Brett looks at the couple thinking. what does this girl mean that her voice isn't good . Aisling apologizes and hangs up.
"I'm sorry I just wanted you to see my voice is nothing special I didn't think about how she may not be ready yet." She let's Brett know that she is sorry to have embarrassed her cousin.
Brett looks at her and tells her
"you both have wonderful voices and I would have never guessed that she had a problem with her voice. Do you mind if I get your number and maybe we can get one of the producers get in touch with her." Aisling gives him her number and they say their good nights. On the walk back to the room Astila asks Aisling
@Do you think given the chance she would go for a music career?" Aisling looks at him and answers honestly
"beftthe attack she was in our schools choir. She and I would get nearly every solo. She wanted to become a singer more than anything else. That's why I did it. I want her to have the chance to have her dream back. She has given up so much and if this could be an opportunity for her. Then I will do my part to give her what she needs." They arrive back at the room and Astila looks at his wife only she would think of someone else's feelings over hers.
