128 128 Getting Ready for the Meeting

Giggling Amelia pushes on Gabriel's chest. "First you need to let me go." She moves and kisses him over his heart. The kiss shocks him enough to loosen his hold on her and she gets out of the bed. She makes her way over to the medication and starts to take each package, cringing every time, and drinks the cup of water that was sitting on the desk. "Miyuki has gotten used to bringing fresh water every morning."

Gabriel watched her cringe and smiled sadly. "It is good that she is so thoughtful. Does it taste that bad?" He slowly got out of bed and adjusted his yukata. 

Looking at Gabriel and looking away fast she blushes deeply. "I-it is but at the same time, it is how I am able to live. So it is not something I complain about. It hurts my Mother and Father when they see me taking the medication." Amelia shakes her head and a tear falls down her cheek. 

Gabriel walks up to her and lifts her chin up and kisses the tear away. "I understand. I will try to mask the taste for you. I know that you are used to it but I think that it would be best for me to try. That way when your parents see you take it they can see that I am working on improving things just for you." Gabriel swiftly picks her up causing her to squeal and giggle. 

Miyuki came back to the room at this point and opened the door. She blushed and looked away. "Ahem, ummmmmm, I am sorry to interrupt but I have returned with breakfast." Still looking away she blushes. 

Gabriel carries Amelia to the table, sets her down in her spot, and kisses her on the lips. "Come in, Miyuki. This is nothing to get shy about. It was good timing because there is not a lot of time left until we need to get going and you are coming with us so that Amelia has someone else to watch after her." 

Amelia blushes deeply and places her hand on Gabriel's hand. "Thank you for bringing the meal to us and I would agree that I would love for you to come with us. Although you might have to stay in the carriage during the meeting. I hope that you do not mind." 

Miyuki carried the two trays of food in and placed them in front of the happy couple."I will come with you but I will sit outside that carriage so that I do not disturb you two. I have already eaten as there is still a lot that I need to do. The children will be in a moment they want to give you something Amelia." She walks back to the door, coming back with the tea. She then bows and leaves the room.

"Itadakimasu." They both say at the same time. Amelia giggles and eats a piece of the egg roll smiling.

Gabriel watches her eat before starting on his meal. "I hope you do not mind the children helping pick out some things for you."

Amelia finished eating what was in her mouth and looked at him. "If we have a child I would hope that the moment would be like this but since right now it is not possible it will be nice to have a gift from our niece and Itsuki. You treat them with such tender kindness." She reaches over and picks a grain of rice off his cheek. 

'I love that she says our and not mine.' Gabriel takes her finger that is holding the grain of rice and licks it, cleaning the rice away. "Thank you. You don't have to clean my face for me but you can just tell me when it is there. I think that you would make a wonderful mother." He pulls her close and kisses her on the lips.

"You've become a kissing fiend." Amelia covers her cheeks and looks away. 

"Only for you. I won't kiss you when there are others around but when we are alone that is a different story." Gabriel pulls away but holds her hand for a little longer, that is until the door opens and the children come rushing in. 

"GOOD MORNING!" They both scream and walk to the table carrying a package each and they set it on the table followed by Miyuki. She shakes her head and hangs the yukata on the changing screen. She smiles and bows. "I told you that they were excited. 

"Good morning to both of you." Amelia ate the egg roll and placed the chopsticks down. "Gochisousama. What have you brought for me?" Amelia holds out her hands.

Itsuki picked up the package and hands it to Amelia. "This is for you!" 

Amelia took her time opening the package while smiling. She looked down and the obi and pouch. "Wow, thank you. Did you pick these out yourself?" 

"I had help but they look really beautiful." Itsuki smiles and walks back so that Mayumi could hand her gift over. 

Mayumi walked up and handed her gift over as well. "Auntie, I am so glad that you are my Aunt. I picked this out but Miyuki helped as well." She blushed with a big grin on her face.

"Thank you." Amelia opens the package and looks down at the delicate hairpiece. "This is wonderful. You both did an amazing job." She got up and kneeled down and held out her arms. Both children gentle wrapped their arms around her. 

The children hugged her and then stepped back. "Auntie we will let you get ready and Uncle, please take good care of Auntie!" Mayumi took Itsuki's hand and the two skipped out of the room. 

"Sara is outside. She will take care of them while we are busy getting ready to head out." Miyuki poured more tea for both of them. 

Gabriel looked at the smile on Amelia's face. "It was worth the effort if you are that happy." He finishes his meal, "Gochisousama. If you need me I will be in my room. I want to look my very best for you and I know that you are excited to get ready." He stands up and holds out his hand to help her up. 

Amelia took his hand and stood up slowly. "We will see each other soon." Amelia walks with Gabriel to the door and kisses his cheek before closing the door softly. "Miyuki, I am so nervous."

"Amelia, you have nothing to worry about. I can see the love between you two." Miyuki takes Amelia's hand and pulls her to the new yukata. She holds the yukata open and waited for Amelia to step inside.

Amelia slips the nighttime yukata off and steps into the new yukata. She slipped her arms in and helped hold the front shut as Miyuki grabbed the obi and got to work tying the back into a bow. "The fabric feels so soft on my skin. Do you think that Gabriel will like the gift I got for him?" 

"He will. You can see that he loves you a lot and that is not just me saying that. I think that you both are very lucky. Please sit down and I will style your hair with this hairpiece." Miyuki pulled a cushion out for her to sit upon and grabbed a comb. 

Amelia sat down and was careful so that the yukata did not get any creases. "Thank you, I will leave my hair in your capable hands." She relaxes and looks at the door when there is a knock. "Come in." 

"Good morning." Edna slipped inside and looked at Amelia. "My goodness, you look stunning. Your parents will be meeting us at the building. I know normally you are not supposed to meet beforehand but this is just an appointment that we decided not to cancel. So, the three of us will travel together. Miyuki you are working wonders on her hair. I love this style." 

"Of course, Mother. That is really not an issue. We are taking Miyuki just in case something happens. It is best that I don't carry my medication but for Miyuki to have them on stand by." Amelia smiled sweetly and was looking at Edna. 

"Wonderful idea. I will get Gabriel to the carriage. When you are ready, come out to the carriage and join us but give me a few minutes to occupy my son because with how beautiful you look he will not even want to leave!" Edna laughs and sneaks out of the room going to Gabriel's room. She knocks on the door. "Are you ready?"

Gabriel comes to the door and slides it open. "Good Morning, Mother. I am ready to go. Is Amelia ready as well?" He looks down the hallway at Amelia's door.

"She is still getting ready. I want you on that carriage so that we can leave on time." Edna uses a stern voice and leaves no room for questioning.

Gabriel steps out of his room and closes the door and follows his mother out to the carriage. He holds his hand out and helps her inside. "I think I know what you wanted me outside and I have to agree that this is a good idea." He climbs in and sits across from her waiting impatiently for Amelia to come. 'I can not wait to see how what I bought her looks like.'
