12 The Freshers' Welcome Party 2
When she arrived at the canteen, it was nearly empty as breakfast started from eight in the morning and by the time she reached it was half past nine.
She went around the buffet and picked two or three dishes from the cold scraps.
She then chose a table, this time not much in the corner, maybe because there weren't many people present over there or she didn't have time to walk till the end of the lounge.
She then unlocked her phone and made her routine phone call to her mother, just chatting for a bit exchanging information about their daily happenings.
She then quickly hung up and called Genea to check her whereabouts.
"Good morning honey", Genea sounded her usual carefree and youthful herself.
"Good morning, have you reached school?", Lili asked.
Genea: "On my way, where are you?"
Lili: "I'm in the canteen, finishing up my breakfast."
Genea: "Oh Gosh.. you and your habbit of being late. If you are done then quickly meet me outside the building, I am waiting!"
Lili: "I will be there right now".
Genea: "See ya."
Lili finished the last bits of her food, grabbed the apple and munched on it as she rushed towards the front door.
There she met with an impatient Genea who chided her a little and then threw her arms around Lili's shoulders as they chatted there way to the school.
"Will I have her all alone some day?", mumbled Aaron to himself.
But how is that girl's attitude towards her so friendly?
Weren't they in loggerheads in their past life?
It seems like both of them really don't remember even an ounce of their past.
But it's for the good, at least there is one less enemy in her life this time.
Aaron who stood in front of his dorm for a long time waiting for Lili, finally made his way to the school.
-
The first two periods went off practically smooth.
Though Lili kept on sneaking glances at the boy, he didn't seem to be noticing that.
Does he not feel anything for me?
Or is he blind that he can't see me glancing at him?
I am so shameless.. sneaking glances at a person who is madly in love with someone else.. with some 'Eva'.
Disappointment clouded her as she lowered her eyes.
On the other hand, everytime the girl peeked at him, Aaron's heart was struck by a lightning and he blushed madly.
Can't she stop glancing at me like that?
Doesn't she understand it is embarrassing?
But if she doesn't remember the past, why is she doing such things?
I mustn't be the one she has fallen for once again.. right?
He wanted to burry his head under his arms.
-
Luckily, the next period was a free period and it came to his rescue.
As Aaron didn't have any friends and nor did he aim to make any, he walked out to the garden and started strolling aimlessly.
Then his eyes caught a familiar figure behind the tree under which he had taken shelter the other day.
What is she doing over there?
He walked near her cautiously, without making any sound.
That's when he heard her mumbles.
"Who are you Miss Eva? You are blind and you made your boyfriend or rather ex boyfriend blind too. How could you have left such a charming princely boy and how can he not notice somebody sneaking glances at him if both of you weren't blind?
I am sorry for you Miss Eva, if you had met with some misfortune and couldn't live, but then you should counsel your boyfriend, maybe by means of his dreams, to forget you and move on. I mean he should not be like this for the rest of his life- in so much pain. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either."
Lili pouted and blushed at the same time.
Though Aaron couldn't see her face, he could make it out very well.
So she is sitting over here to reminisce that encounter of ours and .. scolding 'Eva'?
That means.. she is jealous of 'Eva'?
Aaron couldn't help but smile in amusement.
"By the way, what is my prince charming's name?
Umm...David?
Audric?"
These names..
Are her mumbles result of the traces of her memory from the past?
Does she have recollections of the past, even if they are faint?
Aaron's mind asked him numerous questions to which no one could answer.
"No these names are ...kingly!"
She went around the buffet and picked two or three dishes from the cold scraps.
