113 Chapter 112
Everything in Erin's vision was red. Her berserk state was already activated, as she felt power and thirst for blood. Strangely, this time she wasn't fully taken by her madness. She of her sanity was still there, but that didn't stop her to hate the werewolves to the bones and attack them.
She pounced forward to the nearest werewolf. Her enemy extended his claw forward out of reflex. She leaned sidewise, evading the claw and slashing back with her nails. A moment later, blood started to gush out from his stomach. He bent forward, pressing with a hand on his wound. Before he could even scream from the pain, Erin slashed his neck. The werewolf lost the focus in his eyes and collapsed forward.
Erin moved past him, locking her gaze at two other werewolves. They both shuddered. Before they could prepare to fight her, she was already there. Her nails dig up through the chest of a werewolf. She reached his heart and squeezed it. The werewolf's body convulsed, as she ripped it apart.
"AwOoo-"
The other werewolf howled and finally attacked. His claw swiped through her, but Erin morphed into shadows. They engulfed the werewolf, restricting him from moving. He tried to resist, but the binding was too strong. Erin emerged from behind and bit him at the neck.
"Slurp-"
She started to drink his blood, as the other werewolves watched in shock. Her movements were too fast, they weren't even able to react. That brought fear in their hearts. There were around thirty werewolves in total, but none of them moved forward to engage her. The whole place fell silent, except for the sound of Erin's drinking. The tension only grew stronger with every passing second as the werewolves barely controlled their urge to run.
*Cough Cough Cough*
All the werewolves turned to look at the sound of coughing. Vaeri stiffened, as she felt their gazes. Blood leaked out from her lips. She tried to suppress the urge to cough it out, but she couldn't endure any longer. With another cough, blood dripped out of her mouth. Her lips quivered as she wheezed for air. She barely had any energy left in her body.
A werewolf pounced forward, remembering his mission. Their purpose was to silence her. The bears even gave them an amulet that could detect all the spies that were in the village. That was why they could follow her here and kill all other spies. He extended his claw, only a meter away from Vaeri.
Before he could touch her, Erin kicked him away. The sound of broken bones echoed as the werewolf whimpered from the pain. He collided with a tree and collapsed to the ground, not moving.
A few moments later, all the werewolves howled and charged in unison. Erin once again merged with the shadows, which made the werewolves flinch. But they didn't stop their charge. They had to kill Vaeri.
Shadows restricted the first five werewolves. Erin emerged next to one of them and sliced his neck. With a swift turn, she pierced one more werewolf in the stomach, her hand exiting from his back. Erin twisted her body on the spot and kicked the head of the third werewolf, breaking his neck. Finally, she pounced on the fifth werewolf, cracking his spine with her nails.
All of that happened in only a few moments, but that was enough for one of the remaining werewolves to close to Vaeri and pierce her back. She cried in pain, which made Erin turn around. Even though she was in her berserk mode, she was still able to retain some of her sanity. She could see that the dark-elf was her ally.
"Domain"
Darkness started to spread out in the surroundings, as the werewolves lost their vision. The shadows started to restrict all of them. Erin pounced upon the werewolf who had attacked Vaeri and cut his hand from the shoulder. She continued chopping the other limbs until the werewolf was left with only his chest and head. She didn't finish him, but turned around and attacked the others. Howls and whimpers echoed from everywhere for a few minutes, and finally, the forest fell silent once again.
The domain lost its effect, as the place was once again illuminated from the light. Everything was dyed in blood. Corpses and limbs were all over the place. At the center, Erin stood next to Vaeri. She looked at the dark elf, who struggled for life with all her strength.
Vaeri coughed more blood. She tried to focus her vision but in vain. She felt dizzy. There was no strength left in her body. Her breathing was ragged. There wasn't much time left before she would breathe her last. She opened her mouth, trying to speak, but blood once more escaped her lips. She couldn't talk. Her lungs were injured. Tears fell from her eyes, as her lips quivered. She tried a few more times, but her condition only worsened.
Erin sighed. She wasn't sure what to do. She could save the woman and make her a blood slave, but she didn't know her. Why would she save a stranger? What's more. she could only have five blood slaves. She already had three, if she counted s Lyse. But this woman's condition worsened with every passing second, which didn't give Erin much time to think.
She could see that the dark elf was trying to tell her something. If there were so many werewolves after her, the information might even be important. What's more, the woman knew her. Erin hesitated for a while, but in the end, she sliced her wrist and brought it close to the woman's mouth. She squeezed and a few drops entered. She made her gulp the blood with some effort. Finally, she bowed over and licked some of the blood from the woman's injuries.
'Obey me.'
Vaeri could hear it clearly in her mind. She didn't hesitate and accepted. Warmth engulfed her body, as her wounds started to heal. She felt power returning to her body. Her breathing evened and she relaxed. She could feel the princess even with closed eyes. That strong presence was her new master. 'Elion, can you see this? I made it alive, as I promised.' That was her last thought before she fell asleep.
"Haa, I should look for some food for when she wakes up."
Erin stood up and turned around, only to stop in her steps.
"Well, isn't there enough blood around?"
She chuckled unnaturally, looking at the corpses all over the ground.
"The only problem will be finding some clothes for her."

Her gaze landed back to Vaeri, her clothes were ripped apart in some places and stained with blood and dirt.
"Let's just wait for her to wake up."
Erin sighed and sat down next to her. She wasn't sure about her choice of rescuing her, but it was already done. Now, she could only wait and hope that her choice was correct.
