28 Destroying the Kumo Ninjas

With that, he started to move towards the Konoha, he could anticipate the route through which they were trying to enter the Konoha, it was near the front gate but wasn't guarded as heavily and this also brought some suspicions as to how they knew about it.

'Just how do they know so much about Konoha, firstly why are they even infiltrating our village as the war is at the end. It doesn't seem like they need information about Konoha, they already know the way to enter Konoha without alerting the defenses.'

Shun thought about these things as he continued to near the village, after some time, he heard the sound of some footsteps going in the village.

He looked towards the other members of his team and found out that they had also heard the sound of footsteps of the ninjas. At this moment, he suddenly signaled them to stop for a moment, they ninja's were confused for a moment as they didn't know if they should follow his signals.

"Stop for a moment. Let's not follow them for some seconds." Shun gave out a suggestion to the team leader as he had a plan in his head along with a suspicion.

The team leader didn't even turn towards him and gave out his reply, "Let's not stop right now, we are near our target. If we stop now then they will get away and enter the village… that won't be favorable for us."

Shun sighed as he heard that response, he had expected such a response but he thought that the leader would remain calm and actually think about it for some seconds.

He thought 'Does Kushiro not realize that if we can hear their footsteps then they can also hear our footsteps and the worst thing is that they most probably have a sensor among them, so we are just going into an ambush.'

'Well, I don't think that they would listen to my words now, I guess I will try my best to save you but not my problem if you are going to your death.' He slowed down his speed as he was now at the end of his team.

The members in the team thought 'Ohh… So, he is finally getting tired, well, it is expected of him. These young kids just use their full speed and want to remain at the front but they don't know that it is better to conserve your strength before fighting against an enemy. Well, it should be an experience for him.'

Shun's sudden slow down was seen as his incapability to keep up with them, the leader of the team was moving at the front and just stepped on the branch after jumping from the previous branch.

He didn't expect the branch to suddenly disappear as if it was an illusion and he started to fall down on the ground, this did startle the team members as they called out, "Leader!"

The sudden fall of the leader did startle them and weren't able to cope up when they were suddenly attacked by 8 Sword Wielding ninjas rushing towards them in the sky.

It was at this moment the team realized that there was an ambush set up for them. Shun was the only one who was calm amongst them as he had anticipated such a situation.

Each of the 8 ninja's were coming towards each one of them, Shun simply glanced at the ninja coming towards him and he froze in mid-ear.

It was like he had seen a nightmare as soon as he saw those cold Red Colored Eyes, he glanced around him and saw a Nine Tailed Fox standing behind Shun, those cold eyes filled with hatred, he felt as if he had just encountered a demon.

Shun softly spoke out, "Why… What happened? Are you scared of this little boy?" The way he spoke and the way he chuckled made the man even sure that this wasn't just a normal boy.

He was in so much fear that he forgot the bloodline of the Uchiha, the Sharingan, if he could control his fear at this moment and remain calm then he would have been able to guess that he was caught in a Genjutsu.

The other 7 ninja's still managed to react in appropriate time as they drew out their kunai and swords and started to fight against those 7 Ninja's from Kumo.

The leader from Shun's team was fighting against a Middle-Aged man with a fit body from Kumo, the Middle-Aged man was using swords as his weapon and was skillfully attacking Kushiro who seems to be on the defensive as he was backing out and maintain some distance.

It was a similar case for the other Konoha Ninjas as they could see that they were on the weaker side of the power, they had to maintain some distance before they could start using their Jutsus and overpower the enemy with them.

Shun glanced at his enemy with a bored expression as he didn't expect him to be finished with just a Genjutsu, he had imagined the Genjutsu and made it with the similar feeling as to how he met up with the Kyuubi with some minor differences.

He looked around and saw the other ninjas from Konoha struggling against Kumo Shinobi, he picked up the sword that was on the ground and suddenly appeared behind all the 7 Kumo Shinobis hit them hard with the blunt side of the Sword.

He didn't want to kill them or make them unconscious for long so this was the only way left to incapacitate them. For the Konoha Shinobi, they thought that he had made Clones and hid them nearby and attacked them using that trick.

But it was different, Shun didn't hide any clones nearby, it was a waste of Chakra for him to do so for these Chuunin Shinobis. He had actually used his technique, the Teleporter to make seven Afterimages of himself using Shunshin and incapacitated them.

The speed required for this stunt was unreal and would be weird for anyone to even attempt let alone being successful in it.

(A/N: I know that Shisui uses it in the Naruto anime but that guy is himself a legend and it is true that no-one else ever attempted it.)

Shun looked down and saw that Kushiro was struggling against the Middle-Aged Dark-skinned man and spoke out, "Get out of the way!"

Both of them heard his words and the Dark-Skinned man was faster as soon as he heard those words, he jumped up in the sky as he thought that an attack was incoming in that direction.

He didn't expect to hear the words, "Got you!" And then a shout, "Great Fireball Jutsu!" The Fireball hit him on his back and crashed him towards the tree.

His face hit the tree and felt some of his teeth breaking and falling down on the ground, he let out a sigh in relief as he found out that he was still alive after that fireball, he didn't expect a kick at his back.

He let out a painful scream, "AHHHHHHH....." The thing that was much more painful as he could hear the crackling sound of his bones breaking after that kick, he knew that the Fireball before helped in breaking the Chakra defense that he had set up earlier.
