24 Chakra Natures

Shun looked down as he wondered what he should reply, after some time, he looked into Sakumo's eyes and answered him, "I think it won't be a good idea for me to make a team together with you Sakumo-san. I will hold you back, let me gain some experience first then we shall form the team."

Sakumo nodded his head, he understood his point as well, he agreed to it after some hesitation, "Alright then, I guess you are right about that for now. I don't completely agree with the fact that you will hold me back but alright, you want time. I will give you time."

Shun simply smiled at that response, "Yeah, I won't keep you waiting for a long time Sakumo-san." With that, Sakumo turned around and disappeared from their front as he started moving back towards his house.

All along the way, he carried a wide smile on his face as he felt a strange excitement, he knew that the day they teamed up would be the formation of a tag team better than the Three Sannins.

It was just a strange feeling that seemed to rise up in his heart, he knew that he shouldn't expect too much from a young boy but the response that he heard made him sure, sure that this boy was going to rise up.

He whispered into the wind 'I hope you have enough time to grow up…' With that, he returned back to his house and met up with his girlfriend waiting for him.

Seeing his smiling expression, she was also happy because she hadn't seen him display such an expression after a mission, each time he would return back, his clothes would be bloody red.

She was scared that she would lose him in these fights some time soon, he would have a grim expression as he didn't like to take lives unless forced too but today seemed to be different.

His clothes seemed to be painted red but there wasn't that sadness or grim expression on his face, no, there was a smile graced over his face. It seemed to radiate the darkness around them.

Shun glanced at Mikoto training hard in her Fireball training and also saw Kushina training hard in the Tree Climbing Exercise and thought 'I have just finished my Shunshin training and require a break now. I guess I should search for other elements of Chakra.'

'The reason that I started training the Fire Elemental Chakra is because the Fire Chakra is common in between the Uchiha. It is almost guaranteed that the Uchiha Clan member will have it.'

He shouted out towards both of them, "Listen, continue to train like this. I will go and make a trip to Library, I want to read a little information about something."

Kushina simply grumbled some words in her mouth, something like, "Skipping training, tsk." While Mikoto smiled at Shun and spoke out, "Alright Shun. Return back soon." She waved towards Shun while Kushina simply let out of her tongue…

Shun sweat dropped at their reactions, their responses were quite different as to what he thought of. He started running towards the Library of Konoha.

He could finally enter it as he was now a Shinobi, there weren't a lot of things that he could read but he could read about the basics of Elemental Chakra right now.

The reason was because of War, the hokage wanted to promote the Shinobis to learn how to control the Elemental Chakra and protect themselves. It would further strengthen the Konoha, so the basics were available for Genin to start training.

Shun simply stretched his hand and took hold of the Elemental Chakra, he turned his head towards both sides and used Sharingan when he was ultimately sure that nobody was observing him right now.

He went through all the pages with his Sharingan and remembered them by heart and did that to other books as well. After some time, he walked out of the Library and knew what he had to do right now.

'I have to buy those Chakra Papers and find out about our Chakra natures. It would be interesting to know what Chakra natures I possess.' With that, he went in a weapons shop to buy Chakra Papers.

He bought around 5 Chakra papers and returned back to the Training ground, he wasn't surprised to see Kushina and Mikoto laying down on the ground with their backs and staring at the sky while talking in low voice.

It seemed as if they were very tired by the today's training, he knew that he can't have them train more than he has already and felt that they deserved this break now.

'I will just ask them to put their chakra in this Chakra paper, it would be better to know about our Chakra Nature as early as possible.' He neared them as he called out for both of them, "Hey, you both, don't sleep here."

Both of them were surprised when they suddenly heard his voice, they saw him coming towards them from their left and sat up.

"What happened Shun, we were just tired and taking a break for now. We will train later." Mikoto started to speak for herself as well as Kushina, her throat felt burnt as she couldn't speak clearly right now.

Shun simply flicked her forehead and spoke, "Idiot! Don't worry, I am not asking you to train right now. Put your chakra in this Chakra Paper, I want to see your Chakra Nature."

Mikoto and Kushina were confused, Shun sighed as he saw their reaction and explained them, "This is Chakra paper, it tells us about the affinity to the elements. Put your chakra in it, if your Chakra Nature is Lightning then it will wrinkle, for Water, it will be soaked…"

He explained to them about what this Chakra paper did, both of them turned towards each other and felt a new-found strength within them, it was as if they just had their rest.

The first one to check out her chakra nature was Mikoto, she held the Chakra Paper and sent her chakra in it. Half of the Chakra Paper wrinkled while the other half burned…

Mikoto was confused and asked Shun, "What does this mean Shun? Why did half of the paper Wrinkle and the other half burn?"

Shun was quite happy as he knew that she had a rare situation of two affinities with these Chakra Natures. He explained to her, "It means that you have Lightning as well as Fire as your Chakra Natures."

Mikoto let out a "Ohh…." From her mouth and then their eyes turned towards Kushina as she was quite nervous witnessing Mikoto having two Chakra affinities.

She prayed in her heard that she also had two affinities and shouted out, "Bring it on dattebane." With that, she also sent her chakra in the Chakra Paper and the result shocked them all.

The Chakra Paper split into two and then both the papers were soaked. Shun's eyes widened as he didn't expect that Kushina would also have her affinity with two elements.

He spoke out, "So… Kushina has Wind and Water as her affinity. Good thing, I didn't try to teach her Fireball Jutsu, it would have been extra hard for you."

Kushina nodded as she understood his point, she felt a bit disappointed as she didn't think that she had strong elements. She wondered if she could beat any enemy with these elements.

Mikoto and Shun were quick to notice her disappointment, Shun had a stern expression on his face as he spoke out, "Listen Kushina, don't be disappointed in these elements, these are a part of you. If you give up on these, then you are giving up on yourself. Is your resolve that weak?"

Kushina shook her head as she was a little frustrated at this moment, she started speaking the problem, "But I wanted the Chakra nature like that of Lightning and Fire. Its because they are really powerful elements."
