23 Sakumo talks with Hokage

Shun sighed out as he heard her, "Listen Kushina, you won't become Hokage in a day so take your time to become strong. You must know that a strong ninja is not the one who knows thousands of techniques or Jutsu but the one who knows one technique but knows how to use it in 1000 ways."

"I am not saying that you only have to learn a single technique but I just want to tell you that you won't become strong by knowing too many techniques. Take one at a time, master it, then move to another. For now, you need to learn Chakra Control otherwise you will have quite a problem in future." Shun was absolutely calm while dealing with Kushina.

Kushina wasn't really satisfied that she wouldn't learn a Jutsu but she knew that Shun won't teach her right now and nodded her head as she understood his point.

Shun neared a tree and started to walk on it with his chakra, as he walked higher and higher, Kushina's eyes continued to widen, she didn't know how he could do that. She had never seen anything like this.

She asked him with her voice full of excitement, "Shun, how are you walking on tree like this?" Shun gazed at her with his calm expression and answered her, "Use your chakra in your feet and walk on it. Use your kunai and mark the position and continue to go higher. That's a good idea to start."

Kushina nodded her head as she tried to do as she was just told to, she tried to move on the tree with her chakra but she was pushed back by the tree.

She ran towards the tree and tried it out once again, this time, she couldn't even climb on the tree. Shun continued to observe her trying to climb the tree with a calm expression on his face as he moved his eyes towards Mikoto.

At this time, Sakumo was standing in front of the Third Hokage with a completely calm and serene expression, "Lord Hokage, the informant was to trap us, I and my partner defeated the Iwa Shinobis who wanted to trap us."

Hokage ran a cold gaze over Sakumo as he questioned him, "So, did you capture them?" Sakumo chuckled as he heard his question.

He simply answered, "I didn't get the chance Lord hokage besides it didn't look like he would have talked." Hokage nodded his head as he trusted Sakumo's judgement over this.

Sakumo continued after taking this pause, "We also stayed at the camp near the borders and helped them out during a surprise attack. I request Lord hokage to send some reinforcements over to the border."

Hiruzen stayed silent for some time as he thought ahead, "Alright then, I will send reinforcements to the borders, in the meantime, I and the elders will find some solution to bring this war to an end."

Sakumo didn't understand just how the Hokage could do that, how could he bring the war to an end with just the power of a single great village no matter how strong it is.

He stayed silent as he didn't want the Hokage to be suspicious of him or think that he was too nosy. He turned around and was about to walk out of the Hokage's Office, he partially turned his head so that his eye was looking towards Hokage.

"I would like to ask Lord Hokage about the residence of Shun Uchiha." He maintained a calm expression that didn't say anything about the reason as to why he was asking about it.

Hokage nodded about this and then muttered, "He lives in the Uchiha district, his house is the nearest from the Training Ground 21."

Sakumo nodded his head and disappeared from the office, a white-haired man entered the office and glanced at the Hokage, "So, old man, what's this plan of yours to stop this war? I am interested."

"To get something, we must sacrifice something, that is equivalent exchange upon which everything in the world works." Hokage had a ruthless expression on his face as he spoke those words.

Jiraiya didn't truly understand the meaning behind those words but he knew that what the Hokage was planning wouldn't be pretty. He gave out a warning, "I hope you do not go too far in that."

Hokage seemed to ignore his words as he looked outside of the window, he suddenly turned towards him and kicked him out of the window and shouted out, "DON'T YOU DARE ENTER FROM THE WINDOW AGAIN!! YOU BAKA!!"

With that, Jiraiya was kicked out of the room to who knows where and tried to get back on his feet. It was at this moment that Sakumo Hatake finally reached the Training ground number 21.

He was going to search for the house nearest to this training ground but he stopped his footsteps as he saw Shun in the training ground, it was only for a brief moment but he was sure that he had seen him.

He ran towards that spot and then heard some more sounds nearby, it was Kushina running on top of the tree and Mikoto practicing her Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu.

He did notice both of them training hard and was a little surprised at how they were training, he didn't think that even in War times, someone trained little academy students like this.

Shun had also noticed him coming in the Training ground 'Why has Sakumo-san come here? There shouldn't be another mission for me now, so why?'

He was standing on top of the tree completely hidden from a naked eye, he voiced out, "Sakumo-san, why did you come here? Is there another mission for me now?"

Sakumo smiled at those words, he turned towards his direction and spoke out, "And here I was wondering when you were ready to show yourself to me, Shun."

Shun skids down from the tree and speaks out, "heh… Really, that's interesting. So… did something happen for White Fang himself to search for me? Anbus would have sufficed."

Sakumo laughed out loud as he raised his hands in declination, "No, you are wrong there. I just wanted to meet up with you. It was interesting to do that mission with you."

Shun simply sighed out as he spoke, "I don't think I did that much. Besides, that mission was a hoax, we failed in it." Sakumo nodded to his words as this was indeed the truth, they had failed in that mission.

"Hey! Who are you? And why are you here?" Kushina called out for Sakumo as she didn't like the fact that this Shinobi entered their training ground while they were training.

It was quite common for the Shinobi's to leave the training ground which had been occupied already unless in the case of some team training. But from observing Sakumo, she couldn't see the team besides him and deduced that he was alone.

"Kushina, don't be like that. He is a Jounin and was my superior in the mission I did yesterday." Shun had a stern expression as he scolded her, he didn't like how she spoke to the White Fang.

Sakumo simply chuckled out as he didn't mind her words, "Sorry, it was my fault. Don't worry, I didn't come here to train anyways. I just came here to meet up with Shun, I think we will do more missions together."

At these words, Shun's eyes narrowed as he thought 'So, this means that Sakumo-san is going to request Lord Hokage to let me go with him on missions. This has just gotten interesting…'

Shun asked his questions, "Tell me Sakumo-san, do you want to form up a team of just the two of us? Or do you plan to ask more people to join up?"

Sakumo smiled at those words as he had anticipated this question, he answered him with a straight face, "I am thinking that it will just be the two of us. But for that, we have to train together know each other's strength and weakness. So, tell me, do you agree to it?"
