19 Shun's letter

During the lunch time, many students round up around Kushina as they started to point towards her and say, "You are now going to be called as Tomato. With a round face and those red hair, it fits you perfectly."

A random student commented on it, "Eww… I don't like tomato at all. Stay away from me Tomato!" And with that many students followed them and called her a Tomato.

It wasn't long before Kushina let her emotions control her body and beat all of them. Before the last guy was punched on his face, he spoke out, "You won't ever get a friend due to those hair."

Kushina paused for a few moments as she heard that, the guy smirked as he muttered, "Got you now!" But suddenly, he was hit with a duster, they turned around to see from where this duster came from and saw a Black-Haired girl standing near the door.

It was Mikoto! She glared at the boy who had just spoke and approached him with a furious expression on her face, she held his collar and lifted him up a little and spoke out, "Do you want to say that to my friend again?"

Now, this did cause many other people to be astonished, from her dress, they could see that she was an Uchiha and it was already known that Uzumaki and Uchiha clans were not friends so they didn't understand why an Uchiha Clan member would protect an Uzumaki Clan member.

The boy who was being held by Mikoto didn't speak anything due to fear, he could see that he was on the verge of being beaten up if he opened his mouth. After some time, Mikoto released him from her hands and turned towards Kushina.

She sighed as she saw Kushina standing there with a sad expression on her face, "Don't mind his words. He doesn't know anything, me and Shun are your friends already. You will definitely make more friends."

Kushina nodded her head very slowly, she pouted a little as she looked towards Mikoto, "Let's get out of here. I want to eat something Dattebane!"

The rest of the day at the academy passed with the Teachers, no student dared to say anything to Kushina at this moment. After the classes, Kushina met up with Mikoto, Mikoto smiled as she saw Kushina coming towards her, "Let's go to my house, I want to see Shun. Maybe you will feel better after talking to him."

Kushina remained silent for a few seconds before she spoke out, "I want to request you Mikoto, don't tell anything about this to Shun. I will take care of it myself."

Mikoto could see that she was scared of something, she seemed to be very disheartened and knew that their words got to her and has shaken her confidence in herself.

Mikoto shook her head, "Nopes, I will definitely tell him. Hehehehe…" She had an evil smile on her face as she spoke that out, Kushina groaned a little as she heard that, "Please! Don't tell him."

Mikoto put her hand beneath her chin and thought hard about this, "I will observe for a few days and then make my decision. Alright!" Kushina nodded her head excitedly as she changed the topic, "Alright, let's go to your house now."

With that, both of them started to move towards Mikoto's house with the expectation of meeting up with Shun and talking to him about this. But what they didn't know was that Shun was gone on a mission, he was staying in the camp near the Konoha borders.

They opened up the house and Mikoto called out for Shun, "Shun! Shun! Where are you?" Kushina also called out for Shun, "Shun! Come out now!"

They got no reply from him and were slightly worried, they went in the house and started to search for him, they searched in all the rooms but they couldn't find him at all.

"Where did Shun go? Did he tell you anything before leaving?" Kushina stared at Mikoto as she asked that question. Both of them wondered where he could go now at this moment.

Mikoto shook her head as she answered back, "No, the last time I met up with him was when I was with you. So, no, I don't know where he could have gone at this time. Let's go in the dining hall and wait for him."

Kushina agreed with her and both of them entered the dining hall, they were surprised to see a Letter on top of the table, Mikoto casually grabbed it and was about to throw it away but she decided to take a look at its contents before throwing it away.

She was a little surprised as she saw that this letter was from Shun, after reading the letter, she let out a sigh of relief. Kushina was surprised as she saw her sighing of relief, "What is written on that paper?"

Mikoto answered her with a slight smile on her face, "Shun wrote this, he had written that he may not come home tonight as he was going on a long mission. He may come tomorrow or the next day after that."

Kushina let out a "Ohh… That's nice." She groaned a little, "We should have checked out this dining hall first. It was a waste of time to search in all those room dattebane!"

Mikoto chuckled out as she agreed with her, "Yea, it was a waste of time but it was fun, I guess. Now, are you cheered up a little from the events that happened in the Academy."

Kushina stayed silent for a few moments before she decided that she should be open about her thoughts to Mikoto, "You know Mikoto, if I hadn't met up with Shun or you before joining the Academy then I don't think I would have liked Konoha or its ninjas very much."

"I honestly don't know how I would have felt about the students in the village. But knowing you both, I atleast know that not all students are bad here." Kushina looked up in Mikoto's eyes with a determination rarely seen in a kid of her age.

"I am confident that you will be able to make some friends. Just give them some time, there should be someone who will support you." Mikoto smiled as she tried to console Kushina, she was happy that Kushina was willing to share her thoughts at this moment.

Shun was awoken as he heard something crashing onto the floor, he stood up and got out of his tent, his eyes widened a little as he saw a large army marching towards the tents.

'What is going on? Is this Suna's army marching towards us? But how did they find out about this camp so fast, I heard that they had relocated it a day before we got here. I have to find Sakumo-san and let him know of the situation.'

He turned his gaze towards Sakumo's tent and noticed that it was empty, he looked around him and finally found Sakumo standing along with another Jounin.

Sakumo had a cold look in his eyes as he simply spoke out, "You have quite the nerve to betray Konoha, Fumihiko. I do not tolerate the rats, I think you know this quite well."

The guy named Fumihiko spoke out in a furious tone, "I am not a spy, where is the proof that I betrayed Konoha? WHERE IS IT!?" Shun observed the man quite carefully and started chuckling as he noticed an interesting thing.

"You have quite the nerve to act as innocent when the proof is quite evident. You must have cleaned your whole body but you forgot a place Fumihiko-san, those sandals have a slight Black colour on them and I believe everyone here knows how he got it on his sandals when there is only sand around us." Shun calmly gazed at the man while anticipating his next actions.
