18 Training reflexes

Sakumo was staring towards Shun with a surprised expression 'He has completed Elemental training! how old is he? Just 7? When did he even start training? Perhaps, 2 years ago? So, he completed the Elemental training in a year or two.'

After some moments, he smiled 'So, this is a genius huh… Looks like Arinold was right, he is quite a ninja and its fortunate that Konoha has him.'

He was actually debating if he should have entered the fight and saved Shun but as he saw it now, there wasn't any need for him to interfere. He jumped from his tree and approached Shun without making a single sound.

"How interesting, you are able to kill a B-Rank shinobi without a single injury to yourself. Hokage-sama will be happy to hear that." Sakumo stated as he stared into Shun's eyes and tried to gauge his reaction.

He was disappointed that he couldn't get a reaction from his expression, those were completely calm with no trace of regret or of sadness.

"As I said before, that man was very foolish, he underestimated me the moment he saw me. He thought that I was just a child and would be an easy kill and now has paid the price." Shun replied with a calm yet strong voice, it was surprising to know that this was a 7-year-old boy.

Sakumo smile a little and asked him, "I believe that was your first kill, tell me, do you regret it?" He saw a hint of hesitation in Shun's eyes and continued, "Don't worry, you can open up to me about that. I understand how hard it is."

Sakumo had a kind smile which caused Shun to ease around him a little, Shun did start speaking and muttered, "To be honest Sakumo-san, I feel no regret, no sadness and no remorse over killing this man. This is war! He wanted to kill me, so I returned the favour! So, I do not feel any sadness."

Sakumo stayed silent as he heard that response, this wasn't common but during the war times, there are children who had this mentality so he nodded his head and accepted his words.

"Alright then, I will accept that explanation because that's what I was going to tell you anyways." Sakumo chuckled after speaking those words, Shun smiled a little as he heard his words.

With that, the both of them returned back to the camp, they understood that this was just a trap by that informant, there would be more ninjas who would trap them.

Shun sighed as he knew that his first main mission turned into a failure as it was trap, he was sitting in the camp as Sakumo had decided that they would stay there for a day and then return back to Konoha.

He knew that even though Sakumo didn't say anything, he still wanted to help these shinobis as much as he could, he didn't try to help or be stubborn about it as he thought 'My age, this is the thing that would prevent them from taking my suggestions. Besides, Sakumo-san is experienced enough to help them.'

He started to sleep for the rest of the day as there wasn't anything for him to do at the battlefield, Sakumo had seen him fight but he could guess that Sakumo wasn't comfortable with him killing people.

'It's easy to deduce that with Sakumo-san's soft-hearted attitude, he won't let me fight anyways. So, I guess, I should just lay down and sleep, I still have to do my training, if not in Forest of Death then in this forest.' He resolutely thought of it and closed his eyes as his mind drifted to some random scenes.

He woke up in the middle of night, he was careful enough to not make any noise and got out of his tent. After going a little deep in forest, he started to think 'Alright, so what should I train with. I don't have much time so I can't train the Shunshin technique right now.'

'Maybe, I should try out that method that I was thinking about. It should build up my agility and my perception even without the Sharingan.' He made 5 Shadow clones and all 5 of them stood in different positions with a kunai in their hands.

"Are you ready, Boss!?" All of them asked that question at the same time, Shun smiled as he heard that question and had a determined look in his eyes, "Yea, come now!"

With that, all of them pulled out a kunai from their holster and threw it towards the real one while making a hand seal, they collectively sounded, "Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!" The Kunai in the air suddenly duplicated and there were more than 200 Kunai's heading towards Shun at the same time.

Shun let out a sigh as he jumped up in the air and dodged them, his clones didn't let up as they targeted him at that moment by throwing Kunai in the air and duplicated them.

Shun thought in the air 'Okay, this is getting dangerous.' He suddenly rotated towards his left and fell down on the ground, he moved his head towards the right and dodged a Kunai incoming for his head.

He rolled on the ground as he dodged more of the incoming Kunais and stood up on his feet, he took a deep breath 'Alright, now I know all their positions, the true training starts now!'

With that, he kept his eyes on the incoming Kunai and moved his body correspondingly, he dodged the kunai from his blind spot and from his front at the same time.

He continued this type of training for 2 hours and decided to end it, he sidestepped towards his right and dodged a kunai, Shun extended his right hand and managed to grab hold of the Kunai.

He suddenly turned around and hit another Kunai with it, the kunai was deflected and hit another Kunai, this continued for three more times and a total of Five Kunais were completely deflected and hit his Shadow Clones.

After receiving the information from his Shadow Clones, Shun returned back to the tent as he laid down on the bed and thought 'I wonder how Mikoto and Kushina are doing without me there. Kushina had her first day in Konoha's Academy, I hope it went well for her.'

// In the Konoha //

Mikoto and Kushina were running towards the Academy and split towards different classes. Kushina met up with the teacher who gave her a kind smile and spoke out, "Alright, Kushina, come in the class. It's going to start soon. Lord Hokage explained me everything."

Kushina nodded her head as she went inside the class along with him, the students who were making noise by striking conversations with their friends suddenly quietened up, the teacher spoke out in a loud and clear voice, "Well, this is out new transfer student…"

Kushina suddenly shouted out with an embarrassed face, "I am Kushina Uzumaki, dattebane." All the students started to laugh as they heard her introduction.

"Her hair is so red, I wonder how can someone's hair be so red." A random student spoke out in the class.

Another random student commented on Kushina, "Her face is also round with these Red Hair. I wonder how can someone like her exist here."

All the students were laughing and it was causing Kushina to be more nervous by every second she stood there, she suddenly shouted out, "I…I am going to become the first female hokage!"

Her words were said with a determined expression, she glanced at the class and saw a blond-haired boy standing up with a little smile on his face, he lightly hit his chest with his first and spoke out loud, "I am Minato Namikaze, I also want to become a Hokage, respected by all the villagers."

She didn't really care about Minato and continued to look towards him with a calm expression, the teacher assigned her to a seat and continued the class.
