14 Mikoto's Sharingan Awakening

Kushina stayed silent as she heard his words, observing her and Shun's expression, Hiruzen understood that something serious has happened, he asked them in his kind voice, "So… What happened that brought the two of you here?"

Kushina flinched as she couldn't speak a word, Shun put his hand on her shoulder and spoke out in a flat tone, "Lord hokage, I am regretful to inform you that Lady Mito has passed away."

The Third Hokage's eyes widened as soon as he heard that, "What did you say? Lady Mito is dead!?" He didn't expect it to happen so soon, but he was also confused as well, he didn't think that the Nine Tails had been unleased so what happened actually.

He closely looked towards Kushina and the realization hit him like a truck, he understood all that happened, his eyes turned quite calm as he glanced towards Shun and asked him in an extra calm voice, "So, I take it that you know the secret now."

Shun nodded as this wasn't the time to fake, he knew that Hokage was smart enough to deduce that. The Hokage calmly spoke in next words, "This is an S-Class Secret, the day you speak of this to anyone, I will kill you!"

His face as well as his words were spoke quite seriously, Shun knew that the Hokage was quite serious and wouldn't hesitate to kill him if he spoke of this to someone. He nodded as he also didn't have any intention to leak it out to someone else.

Why would he want to leak such a sensitive information anyways? He wasn't an idiot so he would just keep it with himself.

A sudden silence crept in the room, Kushina stepped forwards as she looked towards Hokage with a strong expression, "Lord Hokage, can you please conduct a ceremony for Grandmother Mito's death?"

Hokage nodded as he smiled at her words, he gently voices out, "I was already planning on doing that. She is the wife of my teacher as well as my predecessor, Lord Hashirama." Kushina was happy as she heard his words.

She smiled brightly as the hokage agreed before she even had to speak out the reasons that she had prepared in her mind, Shun had a calm expression on his face as he glanced at the Third Hokage.

Shun bowed one last time before he left the Hokage's office as he knew that it wouldn't be a good idea to take Kushina back to the Uzumaki Compound. He decided that he would let Mikoto and Kushina meet today and smile a little, Mikoto didn't really have any friends in the Uchiha district as many considered them to be orphans and stayed away from them.

Mikoto didn't like how people said that her Mother was dead now, she had shut herself from those people and didn't meet them. He knew that he would have to tell her the truth today as his Shadow Clone was exposed.

He was trying to avoid this issue for as long as he could but he knew that it was no longer possible now. He sighed as he knew that today was going to be a long day, he let out a chuckle as he thought 'And ironically, it's the end of the day right now… Oh well, I guess I will have to make her understand the truth.'

With that, he and Kushina started moving towards his house in the Uchiha district, they were quiet for the entire way but for different reasons. Soon, he entered the house and shouted out, "I am back!"

It was to inform Mikoto to come out of her room, and as he expected, Mikoto did come out of her room. She was a bit excited as she was quite worried for Shun, she didn't know where he was, what he was doing and all.

He was the only one who was like a family to her, the only one who had taken care of her. She didn't know why what since the time her mother had left her, he had become her everything, he would solve her every problem, teach her as well as play with her.

He was her only support that hasn't left, she was shocked at the Academy when she found out that the Shun at the Academy was just a Clone. Mikoto was confused as to why she didn't know about this before, she started to think seriously about this topic, did she not understand him at all? What she knew about him was a fake?

She was confused about thinking these things, she wanted to know the truth, and at that moment, she heard Shun's voice signalling that he was back. She was excited and ran out of her room to greet Shun.

Mikoto stopped moving as soon as she saw a Red-haired girl alongside Shun, she didn't know why but her mind started to overthink and escalate the whole situation. She thought that Shun had found another friend and he wanted to meet her while leaving a shadow clone with herself.

Shun also knew that before Mikoto starts to overthink, he started explain, "Listen Mikoto, calm down first. If you think that I used clone in the Academy to meet her then you couldn't be more wrong. Today is the first time I am meeting her!"

Mikoto did stop her thinking as she glanced at him with confusion evident in her eyes, Shun sighed as he guessed that he was right, she had really started to overthink the whole situation.

He motioned her, "Let's all sit on a table and I will start explaining the whole situation there." As he advised, everyone followed him and sat around a table.

He cleared his throat before he started speaking, "Alright, I will start from the beginning. Mikoto, do you remember that letter that Aunt Miyuki left for us?" Mikoto nodded as she had thought of that letter many times, she wanted to know just what was written there and regretted that she didn't read it herself.

Shun tried to keep his emotions calm as he spoke out, "Mikoto, I lied at that time. Aunt Miyuki wrote in that letter that she was never going to return, she wrote that she was rushing off to her death. I do not exactly know what it means but I have a few theories myself."

Mikoto's expression remained the same as she asked of Shun, "It wasn't a good joke Shun." Shun stayed silent as he listened to her words. He had expected her to not believe him about this matter.

For 2 years, 2 whole years, she had expected her mother to return back. Just how could Mikoto accept the fact that she was being lied for these 2 years. Shun's silence made her get a little worked up as she voiced out, "Tell me you are lying. Please tell me you are lying."

Shun steeled his expression as he spelled out, "She is dead and that is a fact." Mikoto's expression changed as she loudly yelled out, "NO, you are lying. Tell me you are lyin-!" Her eyes changed to that of a Single Tomoe Sharingan.

Tears fell from her eyes as Shun flinched a little because he could see that she had an expression of being betrayed, hurt and most importantly furious. She voiced out, "WHY!! Why did you not tell me before!? SHE WAS MY MOTHER, I-I SPENT THESE YEARS WAITING For her to return? You are just an outsider, what right did you have by keeping this information from me?"

Shun wrapped his arms around her as he slowly caressed her back, he didn't say anything and accepted all her anger, he didn't care how angry she was, he didn't care what she thought of him at this moment but he wasn't going to leave her at this moment.
