8 Clone

Should he say, "Don't have any hopes of your mother returning, she wrote that the is going towards her death." He shook his head but he didn't know just what could he say so that she won't be disappointed.

He sighed as he spoke the best thing that he could come up with, "Mikoto, she said that she was leaving for a long-term mission. It will be years before we can see her again." Mikoto's eyes widened as she heard that.

She mumbled out as she asked him in a soft tone, "Tell me Shun, how much time will she take to return?" Shun closed his eyes as he spoke up in a gentle voice, "She wrote that it will take atleast 2 years before she returns and also asked me to destroy the letter as it has some content that she doesn't want others to know."

Mikoto trusted Shun and nodded her head, she felt that if Shun was telling that to her then it was probably the truth. What she didn't notice was Shun having a serious expression on his face as he thought of the future.

Shun woke up early in the morning, he went towards Mikoto's room and saw her sleeping soundly on her bed, he closed his eyes before he prepared himself and closed her door. He went out of the house and tried to make the Shadow Clone Jutsu that he saw Miyuki doing.

He had seen that this Jutsu required almost Half of Miyuki's chakra and he split his chakra in half and used it. An identical Shun was standing right besides him, Shun looked at him with a serious expression in his eyes while the Clone looked at him with that same expression.

Both of them nodded as they went in different directions, Shun moved towards an Empty training ground, he had heard that Forest of Death remained empty unless their were Chuunin exams so he thought that would be the perfect place to start training.

While his clone returned back to the house and started to wait for Mikoto to wake up. His clone would go to the Academy with Mikoto everyday and write out the details on a paper so that he would know what he did in the Academy and then give it to him and dispel himself.

He could see that it was quite weak but he knew that the next Physical examination was in a month and he didn't really need to fight anyone before that, his clone would just avoid fighting till then.

He would make a new Shadow Clone every day while he himself would go to the Forest of Death and train himself, he wanted to get better. He wanted to get stronger to take care of Mikoto, before, he thought that he had enough time to train and get stronger, but now, now it was necessary to get strong, otherwise how would he be able to protect Mikoto or himself.

He had brought all the Kunais and Shuriken that he could find and started to practise his aim and perfect it. He first started with Kunai's as they were a bit easier than the shuriken and also had more piercing power.

After half a day of practise with Kunai, he spent the other half of his by climbing trees using his chakra but that wasn't all that he did. He jumped from one tree to another and tried to adjust his chakra at the appropriate moment.

At the end of the day, he was good enough with his aim of Kunai and also quite good at the Chakra Control Exercise. He could now jump from one tree to another without much problems, it wasn't quite Natural yet but all he needed to do was just keep practising.

It was night time and he suddenly fell down and held his head tightly, he didn't expect a headache to occur at this time, and he saw the visions of the Shadow Clone and what it did during the day.

After a few seconds of clutching his head, he opened his eyes and smiled, "Hehe… So, this is an ability of the Shadow Clone huh. How very interesting."

After this incident, the days became months, the months became years and 2 years skipped in a blink of an eye.

A young boy standing in front of a huge rock while having an unreadable expression on his face, he stood in completely Black clothes, his eyes were completely red containing three tomoe which were revolving with a slow speed.

This rock contained the names of those people who died for the village, many great ninjas such as Tobirama Senju and many great shinobis who died for the village in the 1st and the ongoing 2nd Great Shinobi War.

He blinked his eyes as he received his clone's memories, he knew that he was exposed now and sighed, he wanted to keep it a secret for a little longer but he felt as if he was quite strong now.

His matured Sharingan gave him plenty of advantage, what he needed was battle experience. While he was thinking these things, the Academy's headmaster informed the information about Shun using Shadow Clone and sending it into the Academy.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had an unreadable expression as he heard that the boy made a shadow clone to go in the academy, the headmaster continued, "To be honest Lord Hokage, I believe he has the necessary skills to graduate from the academy."

Hiruzen Sarutobi remained silent as he heard his words, after some moments he asked him with an unreadable expression, "And why do you think he has the necessary skills?" Headmaster seemed to have anticipated that question.

He stared at the Hokage as he spoke in a factual tone, "Lord Hokage, this boy has a perfect Aim with both Kunai and Shuriken, he defeats any opponent in a Taijutsu fight, no academy student is on his level. He knows the theoretical knowledge that we teach in the Academy and gives praiseworthy answers. He also knows about the Shadow Clone Jutsu and he is also an Uchiha so he must have learned about the Great Fireball Jutsu, I believe he is ready to be a Genin."

Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded to his words but he stopped when he heard that he was an Uchiha, he also wondered about the thing that this child gave out praiseworthy answers, that meant that even the teachers were astonished about his answers.

Hiruzen inquired about this child, "Tell me, who is this child and what do you mean by the fact that his answers are praiseworthy?" Headmaster was more than happy to tell Lord Hokage about this student.

He opened his mouth and started speaking, "This boy's name is Shun Uchiha, an orphan adopted by Miyuki Uchiha and Kansuke Uchiha." Hokage's eyes widened as he heard the names of his adopted parents, "Did you say Miyuki Uchiha and Kansuke Uchiha? Those two have raised him!"

Headmaster didn't understand the reason behind this question but he nodded nonetheless as he explained further, "Yes, Lord Hokage, those are basically the ones who raised him till he was 5 years old. After that, he is the one who has taken care of himself and Mikoto Uchiha."

"And the thing about his praiseworthy answers, I shall tell you about one of them which I liked the most. The teacher asked the students about who they thought was the Greatest Hokage among the three of you."

Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed as he didn't really think much of the answer, he had himself went in the academy before and knew that the answer that the children gave out was either Lord Hashirama or Lord Tobirama because of their strength or techniques, but he still voice out, "Continue…"

The Headmaster continued with a small smile on his face, "This is what his answer was, he stood up and said, 'In terms of power, Lord Hashirama had no rival but for me he wasn't the greatest Hokage, he may have been the greatest Shinobi the world had witnessed but not the greatest Hokage or leader.'"

'"No, I believe that Lord Tobirama was the greatest hokage, it wasn't because he was the Godly user of the Water or because of his Lightning Sword, or because of his Teleportation Technique. No, what made him great was that he decided to use himself as a decoy during the 1st Shinobi War, and before doing that, he appointed a suitable man as the next hokage and thought of the Village first and then his life, he was also someone who chose the way he should die and that was by using his life to protect Konoha. And that…is the reason I believe that Lord Tobirama is the greatest hokage and respect him very much.'"

"And that was his answer, tell me if this is nothing less than praiseworthy." The headmaster stopped his mouth and continued to observe Hokage's face, the pipe in Hiruzen's mouth fell down on the ground as he suddenly stood up.
