7 School

*Knock**Knock*

The first sound that greeted me when I woke up.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"It's me Leonard. Wake up or you won't get breakfast"

"Ok, wait a second..."

I got up, did some thinking, and did the usual, and decided to wear my favorite oversized, dark blue sweater today. I guess it would be nice to try and convince mom and dad that I'm fine, and I wore blue jeans with the sweater....I also made my hair while doing that.

After all of that, I went towards the dining room where we usually have out breakfast and dinner. I still can't get used to that big room and the fact that we have our breakfast in there... I remember we didn't have such a big mansion, our house was only a little big.....

I wonder if Justin lives in a big house.

Although I miss mom and dad too.

I really wanna go back to our old home. But I'd be going without them this time.

Don't worry mom! I'll make sure to be happy!

I was lost in my fantasies when I heard Arabel's voice."Hey Carlisia are you lost ag- Oh wait you're right here...Are you smiling?" She slightly tilted her head.

"Hm? No I was just remembering something"

"Weird way to put it but hey, at least you look happy...Then that means that you will be attending school earlier than we thought"

"Really?"

"Yeah I know right? We can finally get to see each other at school, as school mates!"

"Yeah...."

"Anyway. let's go"

Arabel and I talked our way trough the journey to the dining room. I don't know why but things do feel a bit better I guess. But I wonder how Mike is doing. And Justin too....

"Hey Carlisia!" Arabel was violently shaking bringing me back to my senses.

"Hmmm? What is it?" I looked confused....Of course.....

"What happened to you? You stopped walking not would not answer me. I thought you were possessed or something"

"Oh right sorry"

"...."

"By the way Arabel. Let me ask this....Why did you want me to meet Justin?"

"I'll tell you that later"

"No!I want to do hear it now!!"

"Later"

"Now!"

Arabel started running and I kept screaming and chasing her." ARABEL!!! I want to know now!!!!" I screamed as we both entered the dining room without stopping but as soon as the door opened....Everyone stared at us.

"Uhhhh..."

"Wow! You already seem so happy" The maid whispered.....Seems like she misunderstands...

"Shush!" Uncle Jeff stopped her from speaking any further,"Get out"

"Y-yes M-my lord" She stuttered and got out as if her life depended on it.....And yes it did...Uncle was very mad at her...

"Ummmm...Dad, I can explain" Oh of course you can't Arabel....

"Ah no it's quite alright you both I'm happy to see Carlisia and you happy. The maid just misunderstood the fact that you both were trying to cheer everyone up"

"Right" I said and went to my seat which was right next to Leo.

Me:"Hey Leo, are you going to university today?"

Leo:"Hi"

Arabel:"Oooooooo-k then how is everyone feeling?"

Everyone except Leo:"Fine"

Me:"I don't think that's it"

Mike:"Well it is quite weird that you seem happy all of sudden"

I held in a breath and said,"Right....I think that's weird too though. But I can't help it, if I purposely act as if I'm sad then won't it mean that I'm lying to everyone and if someone were to find out I was actually happy after some time then they would think that I actually wanted mom and dad to die. Also, I want to make you guys happy" All at once.

Alex looked impressed and subconsciously said,"Ohhhhhh"

"Yup"

"Yes it is great you are trying to stay positive despite what happened to you" Leo said."But, it is weird to see you like this only in a few days. You were crying a lot at first"

"Yeah I still haven't quite figured out that part yet....It must be related to that....."

"What do you mean?" Aunt Fiona looked very very very pale. I just noticed.

"....." I noticed everyone was staring at me.

"What? Oh no it's nothing, I actually had a weird dream, after I woke up, I started feeling happyay" I quickly made up a lie.

"I doubt that..." Leo said.

'Argh!!Does this guy read minds or something?'

"Ehehehe" I nervously smiled.

"Alright then I'll be leaving first" Leo said and got up.

After some time, we were done with our breakfast, and it was quite early in the morning, about 7:00 A.M. And I got a sort of 'pleasant' surprise.

"Hey Carlisia you wanna join school today?" That was Arabel.

"What?! Hey that was sudden!"

"Yes but I think since school is starting today and it's so early, we should go to school together"

"...Yeah but what about the books and admission and my school bag and Kim and Candy and cupcake and Subaru and Fuwa and Sun and Hope and Cookie and-"

"STOP! You can't just start telling me names of all your 15 cats!"

"It's 14 cats"

"I was close enough. And why do you want them?"

"Because I am used to always greet them as soon as I come home from school which I didn't for a week"

"Right...."

"Ok then. I'll join you in the adventurous and marvelous journey called high school"

"Don't get dramatic now"

"No I really mean it"

"How can you like school?"

"Because of the libraries and labs and math and Biology and Chemistry and Physics"

"Other than that, you don't like it?"

"No the people are nice too"

"..."

"What is it?"

"They won't be nice anymore"

"Why?"

"Because at first, your parents had requested everyone to remain nice to you and Mike, but since Mike used to have fights every day with his classmates because they were jealous, he found out everything first"

"Well he did come home sometimes with bruises and wounds but....Why were they jealous of him?"

"Because Mike used to catch the attention of most people in the school so they got jealous and fought with him"

"But what about this place?"

"Oh!It is quite the same here, since you are a first year, there will be a competition between you and a girl named Sophia. And there is also a very popular guy in your year, but trust me, he is very selfish....And here's your bag"

"Waahhhh!! New books and they smell so nice!"

"Ok then..... Let's go!"

"Hey Arabel when did you get your bag?" It wasn't there a few moments ago.

"Just now"

"I'm not convin-Ahh!" Before I knew it Arabel was dragging me down the stairs and through the corridors and led me out of the mansion.

There was a car, along with Alex, waiting right in front of the big door of the mansion.

I followed Arabel into the car. Alex was sitting next to the driver. It was very quite for some time. And I broke the silence,"It seems weird going to school so suddenly"

"Yeah. Arabel brought the subject up so suddenly and convinced you to come, that's weird....." Alex replied.

"Yeah. But what about Mike?"

"Oh he doesn't want to join school so early" Arabel answered my question.

"Anyways we're here" Alex pointed towards 'the school'

"Wow! This school is biiiiiiig!"

And it really was. It was like a big, modern castle.

But anyways, the point is, it was big, and crowded.
