"Yuki where are we going?"

"I'm not sure. I just wanted to take a walk so that's what I am going to do."

"Ok... Then how about you buy me a present?"

"A present? What for? Wait a minute..." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small black box.

"What's that?"

"Just something I bought... I don't really need them so you can have them."

Scarlet opened the box to reveal two pitch black rings.

"If you wear one then you always know where the other one is."

Scarlet grabbed my hand and placed a ring on my finger.

"Now you will always know where I am." She said as she put the other one on herself. She smiled and held my hand as we walked.

"If someone sees us like this it won't end well."

"I don't care."

"So where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere so long as I am with you..." She looked up at me and smiled.

"Ok then... How about we get some food..."

"Yeah Sure."

My vision started to dim. I stopped and rubbed my eyes but it wouldn't stop. I was alone in the darkness.

"Where am I?" My voice echoed off into the distance.

I woke in my room...

I lay still puzzled about what happened. I felt my waist be touched gently. It kind of tickled. I looked to my left. There was crimson colored hair emerging from the top of the sheets. I don't even need to guess who it is... There was a knock on the door. I hid under the sheets to pretend to be asleep.

"Yuki! It's an emergency!" Mia shouted. It kind of startled me.

I poked my head out. "It is?"

"Yes! The Princess is missing!"

"Oh no that's terrible."

"What are you waiting for? Help us look already."

This is becoming a hassle... Maybe I should just tell her?

"Um... Mia..."

"What!?"

"Could you close the door for a minute?"

"What? Why?"

"Just hurry up."

She nodded and closed the door.

"Now what?"

I pulled down the sheets to reveal scarlet. But she looked away and covered her eyes.

"What are you doing!? I don't want to see your..."

"No! You got the wrong idea... look for a minute."

"WHA!!!! Why is the princess in your bed!? How dare you!!!" She reached for her sword.

"Wait! It's not my fault! How can I control what she does when I am sleeping?"

She took her hand from her sword. "That's not the issue here!"

"I don't follow?"

"YOUR BOTH NAKED!!!!"

I slowly turned to my left.

"No! Don't look at the princess like that!"

I couldn't see and I felt a weight on top of me pushing me into the bed. The fuck? Did she just mount me? This could get very bad very quickly...

"You can't look! No matter what!"

"Ok fine I get it... So when are you planning to get off me?"

She jumped off me but still covered my eyes with her hand.

"Princess Aria It's time to wake up..." She tapped scarlet on the back to wake her up.

"uhh..."

"Come on hurry up. Your food will get cold."

"Fine..." Scarlet sat up on the bed. "Mia... What are you doing to Yuki?"

"I can't allow him to see you like that."

"What do you mean?"

"You're not wearing any clothes..."

"Oh..." she got up and put on her clothes

"Are you gonna let me see anytime soon?"

"Oh. Um..." She took her hand from my eyes, blinding me from seeing the light so suddenly.

"You get dressed also!"

"Me?"

"Who else? The king has something important to ask."

"Fine..."

I put on my clothes and went to the dining room.

I entered the room. The king was sat at the head of the table and to his right, of course, it was that guy... General Wilhelm was it? Anyway, he needs to take some anger management classes I Swear.

I took my seat next to Scarlet and the food was brought in. The room fell silent again.

"So Yuki..." The king broke the silence.

"Yes?"

"I have a favor to ask of you."

"Ok... What is it?"

"I don't know if you're aware of this but. The war in the north with the demon race has taken an unexpected turn."

"I see where this is going... But what has happened?"

"Our force has been reduced to only five hundred men. Last night we had about triple that amount... It seems that a demon general entered the battle."

"I see... So what do you want me to do about it?"

"I want you to go with General Wilhelm and his men to defeat this demon, General."

"No..."

"May I ask why?"

"I have a few reasons if I'm being honest. The first would be I refuse to take orders from that guy. The second is I don't have any weapons. And the third is it won't benefit me in any way."

"I see..." He sat in silence for a moment before responding. "So... If I meet those requirements you will go?"

"Sure."

"So be it... You won't have to take any orders, I will provide you with a weapon from my personal collection and how does a reward sound upon completion?"

"A reward? It depends on what?"

"Whatever you want. Within reason of course."

"Fine... I will do it."

"You will? And what do you want as a reward if you don't mind me asking?"

"I will decide once I come back..."

"You will? Ok, that settles it. Mia!"

"Yes, sir?" I stood up from her seat.

"Bring me that sword..."

"But sir? You can't possibly mean that one...?"

"Correct. Now bring it at once..."

Mia ran out of the room as fast as she could.

"So when do I leave?"

"Today..."

"Just as I thought..."

"You did? And why is that?"

"It's simple really... If you wanted something done you would give me as little time as possible to be able to decide."

"Am I really that easily seen through?"

"Not really... It is just what I would have done If I was in the same situation as you."

"It seems that I underestimated you... Maybe I ought to give you the throne? You would make a splendid king..."

"Sir! What are you saying!?" General Wilhelm burst into rage.

"Calm down. I am joking of course... I don't plan on giving up my throne for a while."

Mia came back into the room holding something long wrapped in a dark red cloth. It smelled like iron and looked like blood had stained it. She placed it on the end of the table. The king got up and walked over to it. He looked at it for a moment and began to unwrap the cloth.

"Yuki come here..."

I was intrigued so I got up to look. There was a sword in a scabbard that was both black in color. He picked it up and handed it to me. I took a moment to inspect it. It looked rather old and fragile. But I drew it anyway. And in an instant, the blade started to glow purple for a few minutes but stopped suddenly.

It was like it was a different sword. It still had the black color but it was like it had rejuvenated. The blade looked to be sharp and the scabbard now looked new and the hilt had a black stone that was now shining.

"I knew it..." The king muttered quietly.

The door was forced open. And two knights stood In the doorway.

"Sir it's time..."
