12 Chapter 12

We arrived at the gate. It was a lot quieter than usual I guess this is just what it is like at night? No, this was different. There were no guards anywhere. There was a slight scent of iron in the air. No, not iron. It smelt diluted... Was this blood? I felt a slight shiver down my back.

"Aria come here!" I said quietly but still with a firm tone.

"Why??" she began to walk over to me. but it was too late.

I could only do one thing. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards me. I covered her mouth with my hand and pulled her into an alley.

She began to struggle and try to talk as her mouth was covered. I put my head beside hers and whispered as quietly as I could manage. "Be quiet and trust me." She stopped moving and gave me a single nod.

I walked further back into the alley. Still holding her and making sure she didn't come to harm.

Two voices came from the main street.

"Gula you didn't have to kill the guards. Ira is going to be pissed...."

The first one passed the alley.

"Do you think I care what Ira thinks? He isn't even here so what's the problem?"

The second one stopped at the alley and took off a hood. It was a young girl. She had long blonde hair and two pitch black horns. Her face was disfigured in an evil grin as she sniffed the air.

"Gula. It's him. What do we do?"

"Invidia. Retreat there is no way we could beat him on our own."

"Awe I only wanted to greet or beloved lord."

"Not yet. But Ira will probably want to deal with this himself."

The presence from the people had now vanished. They were no longer here.

I took my hand from Aria's mouth.

"That was close.... "I said as I let out a sigh.

Tears were now formed in her eyes.

"Yuki.... What were they?" she hugged me around my neck as she began to cry. My heart tore for a second. There was a familiar feeling that over came me and my mind went blank.

I regained myself and felt warm all over. I opened my eyes. W-What?!? Why is my face so close to hers? My lips were pressed firmly against hers and her eyes met my gaze. I pulled away in shock.

Her face was red and she pushed her head against my chest. "Why would you do something like that to a princess?" She said with a slight giggle.

"Wait no... I didn't mean too."

"So you don't rememb...." She stopped and lifted her head to face me.

"You can't say anything about this ok? Father would go mad."

"Ok I wont."

"Good....." She leant forwards and kissed me. It was becoming light and I began to panic. What if someone sees us?

"Wait Aria we need to go." I pointed to the sun now rising over the horizon.

She noticed how light it had become and began to worry. She turned back to face me and grabbed my hand.

"Come on lets go!" She said before dragging me with her as she ran through the streets back the way we came from and into the palace grounds.

[ Mia POV ]

"Sir they have just arrived back."

"That's good I am sure they had fun."

"Yes Sir it seems that way."

"What do you mean."

"Well when they arrived back it seemed that Princess Aria was leading Sir Yuki by his hand. They also seemed to be smiling. So i just thought that...."

"Enough Mia. I don't want to meddle in my daughters life. If I did I know she would never forgive me. It's nice that she is finally smiling again. Ever since Maria passed I thought she would keep that tragic look on her face for ever. uhhh. What am I saying even I am not over her death. How could expect her to be." He looked to the wall to see a painting of his late wife.

[ Yuki POV ]

We arrived back at the palace in no time at all. It seemed a bit off. The guards were no longer roaming the grounds and instead all just Lined up in the front court yard it looked like they were off to battle. We entered through a window so we wouldn't wake anyone. Although Aria was too short to climb through. I placed her on my shoulder and walked to the window. She managed to climb through after much struggling. I climbed through afterwards.

We walked down the corridor to my room. The door was blocked by a few guards sitting in front chatting.

"Well it looks like your not getting back in there." Aria looked at me with a grin as she grabbed my hand again.

"Wait what are you doing?!" I demanded an answer. Although I got one it I was hoping for a bit of a description.

"Come on this way." She lead me to the main entrance and up the stairs. She stopped at a double door on the second floor. She pushed open the doors carefully as she tried not to alert anybody. She pushed me inside before telling me to sit. She pointed to the end of a huge bed. and she closed the doors behind her as carefully as she had opened them. She then walked towards me as she unlaced her dress. Her dress dropped to the floor as she stood in just her underwear.

"Yuki..." She walked even closer and sat on my lap facing me. Her face was red and she had tears in the corners of her eyes. I could see she was trying to be someone she isn't. I hugged her. She looked surprised as I didn't just have my way with her.

"It's ok.. You don't need to force yourself to so anything."

"I wanted to make you happy..." She hugged me back before placing her head on my shoulder.

"I am happy with what ever your happy with." I sound so dumb right now. Who am I trying to impress?

She pushed me down on to my back and lay by my side with her arms around me.

"Then let me stay like this for a while."

I didn't say anything so she took my silence as a yes and lay next to me with her arms around my body as she used my arm as a pillow.

"Maybe you will remember....." She muttered something quietly before falling asleep.

The sound of a rhythmical breathing pattern beside you is surprisingly relaxing were my final thoughts before drifting in to a deep sleep.

"Yukiiii..." An unfamiliar women's voice was saying my name trying to get a response.

It was dark but still light enough to see. I was in a cave system. The walls were solid rock and would echo after every step I took. I walked towards a bright light before entering a gigantic room like I had never seen before.

There were vivid scenes flashing all around me. I was on a floating island in the sky. A place were they had extremely tall houses and even a school. There was a boy with silver hair and blue eyes he looked somewhat familiar but I couldn't quite place his face.

A girl. Crimson hair emerald eyes, A women black hair and red eyes, Children panicked, Teachers with flames shooting from their hands, Seven demons and a White tiger.

The scenes stopped with a deafening roar. A white tiger had manifested before me and ran in my direction.

I stuck out my arm for protection...
