said Seth, pointing to a rusty door, "although this is not the place that I entered" comments Seth

said Rimuru walking toward the door when suddenly he heard a creak

said Seth quickly grabbing Rimuru and running into a corner.

After some further creaking and groaning the door then opens and three people enter cautiously.

"Phew finally opened despite the rusty lock and hinges" says a man

"since what, 300 years ago they haven't been maintained" says the other man

"But the master of the guild is really evil, to have a girl explore a stinking, wet place like this," said the only woman in the group.

"Do not worry, even if the guild master says there's a dragon, I do not think it should be true, it may just be a snake or something, rumors tend to inflate the dangers over time" said the first man.

As the conversation unfolded Rimuru and Seth were in a shadowy corner watching and listening to everything.

Seth said mentally.

Seth who heard this got a look of fear, and felt a chill in his gut, he then agreed with Rimuru

Rimuru said as he looked at the three humans

"Hey you two get closer, it's easier to use the concealment technique," said the woman and the two men approached her, then she raises something that looks like a little stick with a jewel on the tip that begins to glow and they disappear from the view of Seth and Rimuru

said Rimuru upon seeing the woman's ability, Seth who saw this just fell silent

Seth said as he stepped out of the hiding place and headed for the door with Rimuru, Seth said as the two passed through the rusty door

* 10 days ago, the day after the disappearance of Veldora

-Town of Brumund, border of the Jura forest

"Guildmaster Fuze we call you here only for an extremely important reason, namely to discuss the disappearance of the Dragon Veldora. We suspect that by now the monsters have started to become more agitated, so we want to hear what countermeasure the guild has prepared for this" said the Minister of Brumund, Baron Belyard

"Nothing special, as even thinking about countermeasures is state work, we are not volunteers Baron" answered Fuze

Belyard looks at the maids who were in the room "Leave us" he said, the maids quickly retired from the room, then Belyard looked seriously at Fitz "Fuze this is not just about the frenzied demons" says Belyard

".... The Empire to the East?" asks Fuze

"Yes, now that the power that prevented them from invading does not exist anymore, it's only a matter of time before they turn they attention to start conquering the next territory," said Belyard.

"I understand, as your friend, I'll investigate this," Fuze said. 'Using my authority, of course' he thought.

"Thank you very much, this will be of great help," said Belyard

"Do not mind, I too was worried about Veldora's disappearance" Fuze said.

"He can not simply have disappeared, something must have happened inside the cave," commented Belyard.

Meanwhile the culprits of this great tumult were now in front of a large black snake.

Rimuru asked as he saw the snake staring at them.

Seth replies, "Perhaps this is the perfect time to test your great new ability?" Seth asks

Upon hearing what Seth said, Rimuru got perked up and headed toward the snake in front of it. Which suddenly spat something at Rimuru.

Rimuru jumped to the side to dodge and looked at the place he was before thinks Rimuru, Rimuru told the snake.

Then he jumps to a height where he comes face to face with the snake

said Rimuru, and then spat out a quantity of water which formed a large slice and snipped off the head of the snake

says Seth upon seeing the power of Rimuru's ability

Rimuru said happily as he reached the side of the snake and swallowed it whole

(acquired abilities: [thermal sense], [poison fog spray], [mimicry; storm cobra])

Seth said a little excitedly.

Then Rimuru used mimicry and turns into a great snake identical to the one he swallowed

Rimuru says as he sees bat's winging through the air.

Rimuru and Seth look at each other for a second as if they were deciding something and then Seth and Rimuru turns to the flying bats

ordered Seth, Rimuru followed the mood and used the ability [poison fog blow] thus killing the bat instantly

asks Rimuru when returning to his Slime form

Seth replies. "But changing the subject, do you think you can get the bat's vocal chords and talk normally?" Seth asks

says Rimuru and then uses [Predator] on the bat

(acquired skills: [blood sucking] and [ultrasonic waves])
