140 Ironic

One year later, the beginning of spring.

In Han's estate, living room.

Tereza looked at the man in front of her profoundly, his bristles, messy hair, disheveled outfit, and his face which was showing dilemma. She could hear his tone was depressed. She blinked her eyes a few times, her eyelashes were getting longer than usual.

Her short hair was slightly fluttering from the wind which came through from the open french window, they could also smell the fragrance of the flowers from their spot. Tereza held a white letter on her right hand while replying to his words, "So, you decided to divorce in one year?"

Daniel flinched from the word 'divorce'. He lowered his head and sighed. "Yeah but, I need you to help me to search for Kezia."

Tereza fixed her posture, cold face, and crossing her legs. She said with a firm tone, "Why should I? And why should you? She's not my real sister. She deceived me before and you. Why do you still want to search for her? She abandoned her job as the CEO and living our family company to decline. My dad was having a difficult time right now, and I have to leave my brand company thanks to her."

"Sarah, why are you saying like this? She already regretted it now."

She intercepted him fast, "Whether she felt remorse about the bad deed she did, it has nothing to do with me now, but her irresponsible act was affecting my family and the company. It's not about personal, but it involved all the employees who were working hard every day and the loyal customers who were waiting for the company product to launch and restock, yet the quality and number drop because of Kezia carelessness. This has been a huge headache for us."

"Sarah..." He said weakly. He didn't know what was wrong with her, why her answers were so cold as if she was ruthless?

"Tell me one thing, Daniel. Do you accumulate feeling to her?" Daniel looked at Tereza deeply, she continued, "The fact she tried to drown me before, it was something I already knew, I've had forgiven her. I tolerate that because we were still a child back then. But this is the first time I heard about the incident and what was happening before we got an accident. I can say she's pretty despicable to do this to her own sister continuously. " Tereza held her frustration in her voice. She couldn't believe this woman was the one who made the old Sarah suffered. Tereza felt her emotion was in the mix, a complex that was how she felt. Should she seek revenge for the old Sarah or not?

She diverted her outrageous mind, 'No, I will not do that. I'm Sarah now. So this is my choice and my life to decide.' Tereza took a quick breath, looking aloofly, she explained, "I understand her reason now. Although it's childish, it still makes sense. How she hated me because of envy. I appreciate her words saying sorry to me in this letter. But, I wish she could say it to me directly, not by this. I've decided, I will forgive her but, I will not forget her actions to me before. Another means I'll not involve myself about her anymore. She left Ginga family and you, it was her choice, if you want to find her you can ask someone else, besides me. You can take this back, I don't need it, and let's end this discussion."

Throwing Kezia's confession letter on the table, she got up from her sitting position, yet it was halted by Daniel who suddenly kneeling in front of her. His head was lowered. His voice was quivering, "Sarah, please, don't go. You are the only one I can count. I don't have authority in my family or business anymore. Skyfly corp is already bankrupt, my family living poorly, I have nothing to offer, but I promise I will pay back at you someday. I just need you to help me find her, please, I'm begging you."

Looking down at him, she took a step back, "Daniel, I ask you one more time, do you love Kezia?" She wanted to know his thoughts. According to the letter, Kezia only used Daniel so she could inherit Ginga Corp wealth and leader position. Kezia also said, they were married without love and Daniel hated her. In truth, he did hate her, so why he was looking Kezia desperately now? She had no idea.

After a moment of silence, she heard his truth answered from his mouth. Tereza still had her indifferent face but her head was nodding. "Alright. If that's how you really felt, I will help you to find her."

His eyes were showing grateful, he stood up and bowed slightly to Tereza. He said, "Thank you... Thank you so much."

"The matter she wants to be with you again, there is nothing to do with me, you are on your own. If you have any trouble, don't come to me as well."

"...O-Of course." He said hot-nervously.

Inside Tereza's heart, she felt ironic. Daniel, the former Sarah's boyfriend, found himself moving on from her and realized he was in love with her sister. Tereza couldn't blame him, after brutally rejected by her words and her situation who was married and had a child with her husband, of course, Daniel couldn't take the huge blow.

But the unexpectedness, after spending living together with Kezia. He noticed her other sides which made him felt that Kezia was admirable, how this woman was so strong to keep everything by herself. She never wanted to let other people felt a burden, yet at the same time, she also showed her fierce expression, her weak side, and cute acts.

He noticed that his heart started to change slowly along with time, he fell in love with the woman who tried to harm and threaten him a few times. Was he a masochist? That was what Tereza wanted to say, yet she didn't mutter it to his face.

In this one year, because of his father illegal deed exposed in the media, Daniel's family company was in lower condition. He was meager outside and inside, he didn't have anything besides a few money for living with his parents' hometown village. Their family property was being seized and mostly the sum money was given for covering the huge debt that his father made.

That news was the same report that Kezia took and pressure him last year. He misunderstood that it was she who revealed it while their marriage contract was still valid. They had a huge fight that day, leaving a quite bruises on his face.

The next day, she ran away, leaving him a divorce paper and a letter to Tereza on their bed. Shortly he noticed that the one who responsible for the news was his other company competitor. Not Kezia. Coincidently, the rival company was having the same time when they investigated Skyfly Corp just like Kezia did.

He felt wrong and even more wrong when he found out a medical paper about her in the trash can. He didn't believe she was pregnant with his child!

The last thing he wanted to do before he left, was going to find Sarah. Delivering the letter and also asking for help. Although Sarah was his former girlfriend, she was still Kezia's sister and his sister-in-law too, perhaps she would feel sympathized to him and her very own sister. He didn't have anyone he could trust again in this city, besides her.

When he arrived at her house, he heard what did Kezia wrote in the letter. Her confession and all of her wrongdoing to Sarah. He didn't know what resolving her to confess, but later Kezia explained one of her reasons through the letter. The fact that she wasn't blood-related to the Ginga's family.

She had this plan to leave since a year ago, she never got a sign of courage and preserve until his family scandal surface. Confusion and frustration, a lot of questions he wanted to ask, but he just kept it for now after he found Kezia.

Daniel also found out from Sarah that Ginga Corp was in turmoil after Kezia left, so he couldn't explain to his father-in-law or grandfather-in-law about his divorce as well. But he knew they probably realized about him and Kezia, the news of his company condition as well. It was already decided that he was a failure. He couldn't face them, it was too complicated.

He wanted to find Kezia to apologize to her. Asking her if she could come back and repair their relationship. He didn't want her to leave as Sarah did to him. He didn't want to make another lost opportunity. For this chance, he would treasure her wholly.

Daniel lifted his head, glancing at the time, he tried to leave the house, Daniel said, "Then, I will excuse myself. Say hello to Han from me."

Tereza startled when Daniel mentioned Han's name. 'He didn't know, huh?' Tereza stated inwardly, with her back turned facing him, she looked at her flowers outside. She replied short, "Sure."

He was confused from her abrupt silence, did he said something wrong?

After Daniel left, Tereza quickly called someone on her smartphone. {Yes, Ma'am?} He said.

Tereza answered, "Ringo is still with my mother, right? Later pick him up and drive him home. I don't want him to play until evening, understand Sebasu?"

{Yes, Ma'am.} Sebasu replied. After the short phone called end, she went upstairs to her bedroom. The smell of medicine filled the room. She could see one doctor was checking a certain man pulse who was laying on the bed. It was Han. Tereza asked anxiously to the doctor, "How is he?" The doctor only shook his head.

Tereza felt rage, her eyes turned teary, her feeling was in destructed, she shouted, "Get out! Get out! You doctor were all useless!! GET OUT I TELL YOU!!!" She threw her phone to his side, leaving her phone broke to pieces on the tiles. The doctor was frightened from her responded, staggeringly to leave the room, he almost bumped to a man, "I'm sorry, Sir." He said quickly and left the room rushingly.

Satoru went inside the room and saw Tereza's phone which was broken. He said to Tereza, "You don't have to be so angry to every doctor you called. How many times already you are being like this?"

Ignoring his words, she asked, "Why are you here?" Tereza was huffing and trying to adjust her breath. She said, "You should go back to work and manage HJ and Asuzawa Group wisely. If not, Han's hard work would be pointless." She stated irritatingly to him.

"Sarah-san, it's about time. You must let go of him." Satoru said the matter of fact. He felt pity for Tereza. A few months ago, the doctor explained Han was diagnosed to have a brain dead and so he was declared passed away. The caused was shocked by the glass sharps, it touched his brain nerves system when he fought Stevan at that time. His heart would still beat, but in a matter of time, the heart would stop when the oxygen on his brain run out.

For a normal person, they will die in a few days, but Han surprisingly exceeded that short time. He could maintain his heart until months. The doctor told them it may perhaps related to his physical body, but it didn't change the fact that he was dead.

"Shut up!! And no!! His heart is still working! I believe he will wake up!!" Tereza shakingly raised her voice. Satoru gave a sighed, his expression was in trouble position. Suddenly he felt someone holding his right arm. It was Hana who was in sobbing state. He whispered to her quietly, "When did you come?"

"Just now," Hana said without looking at him. Her eyes were staring at her brother and Tereza's figure.

Tereza glanced slightly at Hana while she held her painful head, striding her legs to sit down at the chair beside the bed. She said with a soft tone, her fiery eyes were slightly dimmed, "I know. I know there were no records of a patient with brain death to be alive again, I still trust him that someday he will open his eyes. Please, just let me stay with him until the end." Tereza lifted her head and said to Hana with her lifeless eyes, "Hana, please say to your mother and father. I'm sorry that I couldn't protect him."

"Sister!" Hana let go of her holding from Satoru and ran toward Tereza. She hugged Tereza tightly and buried Tereza's head to her chest. "It wasn't your fault. Mother and father knew all about it, they didn't blame you. Until now too. I and they, understand your reason. I will also make a wish for my brother to wake up. So please, don't show your depressed face again like this."

Tereza didn't let her tears fell, she felt tired, yet she couldn't relax, she didn't know how many times she cried already in this few months. Her emotions became unstable and she felt irritated easily. She knew inside Hana was just bluffing and herself too. She didn't want to accept reality. Her excuses were just something to defense her crumble feeling.

"You can stop hugging me now," Tereza said flatly. Hana quickly let go of her hands and wiped her stained tears on the cheeks. Tereza continued her statement, "I have to go somewhere. Please watch over Han and accompany Ringo if he comes back home."

Tereza ignored the two rigid people and left the room. She halted her heels and turned to look at Han. She came back to Han's bed and kissed his forehead before leaving. "I will be back soon." She murmured.
