134 Polar Vortex 3

He spat some blood from his mouth, he touched his kidney position and looked at the man in front of him. It hit some of his internal. "Rei Ishii, why you..." Stevan was having difficulty to breathe. His eyes turned to blurry. He looked at the doorway, Han's subordinate intruded inside the place. They surrounded the room and grabbed Mr. Gua from under the table and seize him with the handcuff.

Stevan looked at the remote which he had been pressed. But the bomb wasn't active. What's going on? He asked confusingly. He looked at Han who was walking to his direction, Han kicked Stevan's gun which fell from his hand.

He grabbed his collar and punched his face until he bleeds! He pulled out one of his handcuffs from behind and locked Stevan's hands. "You...!" He spat blood from his mouth. Stevan's eyes were dewy and tears fell from his eyes. "You! You! How could you betray me like this?!" Stevan gazed angrily to Rei Ishii.

He noticed Ringo was stopped crying and was being carried by a woman who just entered the place. Tereza grabbed Ringo and hugged him tightly on her embrace. She cried and pecked his cheeks lovingly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sonny." Ringo buried his petite face and sobbing sadly on his mother bosom, but a second later Ringo curved his smile.

Meanwhile, Han pushed Stevan to kneel, a sound came through his small walkie-talk, {Boss, the situation is clear. We deactivated the bomb, the hoodlums are being captured. Over.} To's voice was heard from inside.

"Good. One more thing you need to do, help Ta with his mission, he's still in China. He needs backups. After that, I need you to report to me as soon as possible. Over."

{Affirmative.}

Han turned it off and looked at Stevan darkened face. Stevan's body was shakingly, his head facing down, yet later in a second, he curved his lips. "Rei, from the beginning you're not in my side. Since when did you..." His tone was serious while radiating murder aura.

Stevan glanced at Han's cold and scary expression, "Son of a b*tch!! You were bluffing awhile ago! Han, I can't believe you are more despicable than me!!!" He roared furiously.

Han replied to him with nothing.

He recalled the time when he started noticing Stevan's weird behavior. It was after they released him from being a suspect in Oda's case. At that time, Han truly refused to believe it. He heard him saying, 'Aren't you glad? Your wife is finally saved...' Han creased his brows when he aware his weird comment.

Did he ever tell Stevan that his wife was being kidnapped? And what was with that smile?

His suspicion was much resolute when To and Ta explained to him. His wife incident wasn't the work of one people.

Han realized there was something odd with Stevan, it pricked his rational time to time. In the end, he had someone to follow and investigate Stevan once again. He also asked Rei Ishii to help him.

Fall, one year ago.

In military base camp. Han sat on his office with his uniform, signing his military reports, while glanced slightly to Rei Ishii. Rei Ishii came inside the after being called by him. He adjusted his glasses and looked teasingly at him. "You're asking me to be a spy?"

"I''m not going to repeat this." He placed the pen down. He lifted his head gazed at him, "I want you pretending to hate me and joined Stevan's group. I want you to monitor everything he does, he says, he plans and reports it to me. Right, for convincing him, give this." Han shoved him a black flash disk.

"What's this?"

"Data. The things he needs the most for his creation." He explained short. Rei Ishii grabbed the flash disk on his hand.

Rei Ishii couldn't help to ask curiously, "Where did you get it?"

"I have my intel to find out, obviously."

Rei Ishii nodded, "Make sense. Hey, why are you asking me to help you? Isn't it better for Jo Miura to have undercover? He's a former special agent after all. Besides, I'm curious, did you tell your plan to him and Kei as well?"

"I didn't tell them, fewer people to know is much better. I choose you because I know you are a cunning man. You can act perfectly, right? It was the same as when we were still a teenager." Han stated the fact while folding his arms in front.

Rei Ishii snickering. He couldn't help to recall the time he fooled Han many times before. Han stupidly believed his lie, since then Han learned his lesson. "You know me so right, I thought you were only attached to Kei. Hanzo, no I mean Han, that's why I loved to tease you back then. You are different now, I couldn't help to feel disappointed. I like the cute you back then better."

"Shut the crap."

Rei Ishii chuckled, lifting one of his eyebrows, he demanded, "So, what did I get from this? You didn't expect this cunning fox here leaving with an empty hand, right? I'm not free you know."

Han tilted his head and looked at him teasing with his blue eyes, "I heard you're searching for your sister."

When he heard that he paused for a second. Rei Ishii's smile slowly dissolve, he looked at Han seriously, "So you know. What? Do you want to search for her instead of me?"

Han threw him documents which contained his reports about a girl, "I investigated her and we found no one under the name of Aiko Ishii. But we found one girl who has the same description as her face from CCTV footage five years ago, long hair, round eyes, was spotted on the clinic face surgery in outskirt. She was being accompanied by a tall man. Unfortunately, his face was covered by a mask. Later, my men went to that place to find out the doctor who interacted with them. They reported that the clinic was closing down. The doctor was gone. We lost their track."

Rei Ishii grabbed the paper and looked at his sister photo. She was missing for years now. His parents were giving up on her, while him as her brother, would not stop believing someday they will be reunited. "So, you are still searching for her?"

"That's right. But don't worry, soon my intel will give their report to me. I will give your sister's information exchange with Stevan's future plan. What do you think of my offers?"

Rei Ishii fell silent for a while until he voiced out, "Fine." His eyes turn to obstinate.

"Good. Ah, right. Later Crazy Kei will bring us to his nightclub again for a meeting. So act like 'it's been a long time to meet me' when the four of us meet." Han stated.

Rei Ishii curved his lips into a thin smile when he heard his words, "You know Han. Aren't you more cunning and professional actor than me?"

Han snorted, lifted his head slightly, sarcastically said, "I learned it from you, thank you." Rei Ishii shrugged from his answer. Han who he knew back then, was growing up like Crazy Kei, yet Han was much calmer. Not long after discussing a little detail, Rei Ishii left the place with an amusing feeling.

Winter, one year later, in the afternoon, after Ringo was kidnapped.

Han was waiting for Rei Ishii to answer the call, he tapped his foot to the floor rapidly, feeling impatient. When Rei Ishii picked up the call, Han shouted angrily "You didn't have to crash my wife's car!! What would happen if she and Ringo were injured?!!"

{Calm down, calm down, geez. Stevan had his men watching over me. It couldn't help it. His sudden changing plan was something I didn't expect too. What would have thought he wanted the baby instead of the mother. He was really good to touch your sore spot, huh.]

[But, seriously, don't worry, the most important is she's alright now. I have your son now with me. I will take good care of him. Ah, right, seriously, your son is amusing. A moment he cried but in a second he was calm. What funny kid.}

{...} Rei Ishii halted for a second before saying something. The thought he must babysit this kid was something he really hated it. {I'm just going to hire a nanny. Hey, I couldn't help to praise him as a super baby, how old is he? Ten months, right?} He chortled.

Han ignored his question and said, "Just do your job."

After he turned off his phone, he strode through the corridor and reached his bedroom. He saw Tereza who was crying and curling on the bed. He reached his hands to circle her waist. He coaxed her softly, "Tereza...wife, don't cry. Ringo is going to be alright."

"Wuu...wuu...wu...hiks....ahh...hah...my baby." When he heard that he cursed himself for letting Ringo with Rei Ishii. He knew he'll be alright. But he felt guilty using his son to solve this problem. He knew it wasn't deliberately. But still.

Sighing, what would he say to Tereza? What would be her reaction if she knew the truth?

"Tereza...."

She didn't listen to his words and kept crying until she had no tears again to fall. Han embraced her tighter and brought her to his chest. He kissed her forehead and trying to smoothen her feeling. After a moment she fell asleep until morning.

Early dawn, Han got a baby picture from an anonymous sender. Of course, he knew it was from Stevan. The fact Stevan used this threat to pressure him was something he hated so much! He got news from Satoru that another turmoil in one of HJ apartment property. Han immediately called for back up people to help.

After that, he called Rei Ishii, asking him if Stevan was finally coming back. Rei answered positively, Stevan and Mr. Gua was going to check in one of HJ apartment. They planned to blow up one of the building. Han called for anti-terrorist force and told them to prepare to deactivate the bomb.

After everything was ready, he went outside the residence with Tereza. She insisted to join as she couldn't help to know what happened with her baby. She was still crying, depressing in the car.

Han got a call from To. He reported that the anti-terrorist force was currently disabling the bomb and delivered information about Rei Ishii who was taking care of Ringo. He stated that Ringo was playing piggyback ride with Rei Ishii, they were having fun. Han sighed in relieved, he knew Ringo was an easy-going and much tougher baby than he thought.

Meanwhile, he looked at Tereza's gleaming eyes but radiated killing intention. Han gulped from her sight. "You lied to me again."

"Did you hear the conversation?" Han asked shiveringly. Tereza smiled yet her smile didn't reach her eyes. She grabbed his collar and pushed him down on the couch. She pounced him and bit him hard on his neck. She smacked him until he fell dizzy.

"Wife! Wife! Wife!" Han shouted beggingly to her.

She pulled his hair hard! "How dare you used Ringo!!!!"

"Ouch! Ouch! I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! I swear I will not do it again!!!"

"Hiss!!"

"I can explain!! Gyaaaa!!"

They had their biggest fight inside. The car shook slightly, the driver was trying his best to make it drive smoothly, he could only shake his head through the rear mirror.
