128 Heal Me I Need You 1

Heading to her wedding fitting room, Kezia walked through the long white corridor. Her silver high heel made her height taller than usual, her bare face radiated confidence as if she was excited about something. In fact, she was. She pushed the glass door, curving her smile slightly and ordering the woman in front of her. "Eida-san, please, my wedding dress."

A beautiful woman in her early thirties smiled at her, she looked at her body up and down as she nodded. "You are in good shape today, Is it because tonight is your wedding?" She teased Kezia while she let out chuckling sounds. Striding her legs to the closet, which contained various types of dresses, she grabbed a long white mermaid tail dress within her view. "Kezia, I need you to change with this. My girls will help you to change it."

Eida clapped her hands and the helpers helped Kezia. Kezia didn't have any problem when she put it on, because it fitted her suitably. The helpers curved her orange hair into wavy and put a slight makeup on her.

Kezia opened her eyes slowly, looked at her stunningly gorgeous self in the mirror. She narrowed her eyes and couldn't help herself to be proud of her beauty. If compare to Sarah, she was not the least bit inferior. After that, she admired herself more and told Eida to leave. She wanted to be alone for a while.

The door closed, and Kezia left alone in the room. She looked at the clock on the wall showing 16:35 PM. In two hours, Daniel and her wedding ceremony would take place in the grand hall of Ginga Corp company. She decided that their wedding would not be held in the church or even a Japanese custom wedding. She didn't like complicated rules, she liked to play her own rules.

Still in the wedding fitting room. Kezia was staring at her reflection with vigor as she hummed happily, yet slowly her eyes dimmed turn to lifeless. Her grinned which she showed a moment ago, vanished. Her eyes were serious while looking straight. She stayed quiet and pondered for a while.

Why?

Why she was here now?

Why her circumstances led to this?

Wasn't she suppose to be happy that she finally married Daniel, the man she was in love with? Her long wish to become a CEO as well. She finally succeeded to achieve it.

So, why? Why she felt hurt?

She felt empty as a blank paper. As if something was missing.

Daniel's love? Her father's support? Or was it about Sarah. Flinched when she thought about Sarah, she stiffly pressed her temples. Why did she suddenly think about her sister now? Not only once, she felt weird and ached inward.

Was it since she eavesdropping Sarah's conversation with Daniel at that time in front of the bathroom? She didn't expect that Sarah would utter those words to Daniel.

Her? Sarah? Did Sarah truly tell him to take of good care of Kezia? As if Kezia believed it. But when she heard her last sentence, she was startled. It was true. 'She forgot how I treated her, but she knew I had a reason to act like that. She told Daniel to forgive and take good care of me, explained to him, because I'm still her sister, huh.' Kezia was recalling Sarah's words over and over again.

She felt weird. She didn't know what it was, for sure she suddenly was not satisfied with the outcome now.

Knock! Knock!

Abrupt noise from the door disturbed her confused feeling and mind. She glanced the person who was trying to coming inside through the mirror. "Eida-san, I told you, to leave me alone for-" awhile.

Her voice turned to mute. Her eyes widen, turning her head to the woman in front of the door. Kezia stared at her wordlessly and they both looked at each other face.

Short light brown hair, wearing a long flower vintage dress, the woman looked at her with her eyes drooped. "What are you doing here?" Kezia asked her with a low tone. "What are you doing here?!! Go away!! You're not welcome to enter this place!!"

Kezia shouted furiously to her, red vines surfaced on her skin, eyes turn to moist as if blocking her vision, while her heart kept beating uncontrollably. The woman took a step forward. She said with her smooth and clear voice, "Calm down, Kezia. It's been a long we didn't see each other as mother and daughter. Don't you miss me? I heard you are going to marry, that's why I want to visit you. To congratulate my beloved daughter."

She got pierced from her mother's words, how could she act as nothing was wrong with this situation? Out of the blue, she came after she had been away for twenty years. and made Kezia's heart collapsed. Kezia held her tears as she cleaved her palms hurt.

Adjusting herself, she took a quick breath and told her with frozen words, "Don't call yourself my mother. Why are you here? Why do you come after all this time I asked you to meet me in the past years? But you never did! Why did you never explain to me what happen between you and father?! Why did you leave me in the past?! Why you-"

Her mother reached her side and hugged her tightly. Shocked was shown on Kezia's eyes. Silence arrived between the two for a moment, while the sound of ticking clocks resounded along with their heartbeat which was thumping nonstop.

Kezia felt something wetness on her shoulder. She heard her mother sobs, crying pitifully while calling Kezia's name. She brushed Kezia's neck and hair. She muttered, "I'm sorry...I'm sorry for leaving you." She kept repeating the words until Kezia couldn't contain her rain.

Kezia didn't wail like she used to do. She just let her tears fell silently. Standing there while her mother kept hugging her. She felt the warmth she missed so much. Her mother suddenly told her, "I want to say goodbye."

"What?" She asked her confusingly. Her mother let go of her arms on Kezia's shoulder. She looked at Kezia's face which became mature. There was no eight years old girl she used to play. There was no eight years old girl she used to tell a bedtime story.

Snorting, she wiped her tears slightly and explained, "Just like I said. I want to say goodbye. Kezia, my purpose to meet you now, so I can see you for the last time, I'm not living in Japan anymore, that's why I need to leave. But before that, can you hear my story? It is the story which I always hide from you."

Kezia didn't utter words and stared at her fixedly. She saw her mother movement and noticed a silver ring on her ring finger. Her mother took out a paper and gave it to Kezia. Kezia looked at the document title which was written 'DNA Test'.

She heard her mother saying with sad tone regrettably, "I've been waiting until you grow up and it's also my fault who keeps delaying to explain this to you, I have a reason, but I can't tell you. Kezia what happened between your father and I. It was something I need to apologize. We separated wasn't because he didn't care about me, it just me whose heart never been with him. Your father hates you is all because of me, and you probably know about it. It was a mistake Kezia, it was a mistake to marry your father when you are in my womb at that time."

Her mother held her own hands to cover her face, sobbing as she mumbled, "I'm sorry..." Once again.

Taking a step back, staggeringly, Kezia crumpled the paper and asked her with a shaky voice, "What are you trying to say?"

Her mother tearfully choked from her own words. She noticed Kezia expression turned darkened and eyes moisten. She smiled helplessly at her daughter, "It is just like you guess it. Ranbo Ginga is not your real father. Before I married Ranbo Ginga, I was dating my old boyfriend. We broke up when my parents against our married due to his low status. He's my bodyguard you see. He got fired and I never see him again not until before my marriage to Ranbo Ginga."

"I met my ex again and I realized I couldn't forget about him. We made love, but I didn't realize he was actually sick, so once again he left me. At that time, I didn't know about his illness. I resented him for leaving me, for making me hurt, for making me wait and didn't take me to run away with him."

"Five years later, He died from cancer. I received his last letter which he sent a month before he passed away. He said he was 'sorry'. He didn't want to tell me because he was afraid I will leave my family to go with him and he guessed it right indeed."

"If I could turn back in time, I would make that choice. Unfortunately, I can't. So, I...I was depressed at that time. I couldn't focus on my current family. I couldn't focus on myself. When I raised you and lied to Ranbo that you are his daughter, did you know how he felt? Overjoy. Ranbo's a good husband and a good father, yet I didn't love him. I felt guilty." Her tears fell from her cheeks and touched her trembling lips.

Her mother continued, "One day, I brave myself to tell Ranbo about you and how I really feel about him. He was disappointed, of course, furious as well. Our relationship broke to severe. He started to treat me differently for three years straight. He would keep his distance but sometimes pretending to act nice. He still tried to be a good husband, but deep inside I knew he was suffering and couldn't accept the fact that my heart was not with him."

"At that time, he had the intention to divorce me, from seeing me suffering whenever I was with him. But because of his family regulation. He couldn't do it until he became the heir of Ginga Corp. In the end, I realized his love is not the love I expected to be. I made our relationship worsen."

She bitterly smiled, her head facing down. She grieved, "I should have not angry with him. It was just his way about his life and goals. I forgot how ambitious he was. In reality, I didn't really know what he thought about me. Did he ever love me or not? I didn't know. But, it's too late to regret it and I just want to forget about it. Because it's not important anymore."

"It was at that time, I saw an opportunity to escape from Ginga household, I found out about his love affairs. I wasn't angry with him. He explained that it was just an accident with that woman called Lucy. I said to him, I don't care if it's an accident or not, he made that woman pregnant so he must marry her. I told him, I want a divorce. Of course, he disagreed, without any conclusion to come any sooner. I decided to leave without him knowing it, leaving a divorce paper and a short letter on the table. Yes, I left you, my beloved daughter, at that time, your face reminded me about my late boyfriend, I just didn't want to see it. That's one of the reasons I couldn't bring you."

"It took me so long preparing to tell you this. I have never been a fearless person, but I met someone who encouraged me to face you now. Yes, it's my new husband, he's a widower. I found out he was a man I could trust and genuinely love me. I don't want to make the same mistake with Ranbo or my late boyfriend ever again. That's why I put my love for real this time to him."

She brushed Kezia's smooth cheeks, "So, I'm sorry my daughter. I love you. But this is goodbye. I'm sorry I can't be a good mother to you."
