103 Once Upon A Time 1

"Sarah, you're seriously going to abandon everything we spent together? We can try one more chance." Daniel said with his pampered tone.

Tereza frowned from hearing that. She took another step back and said, "Like I said I came here to end our relationship. Whatever we did in the past there's nothing related to the present now. I came here to explain to you so you could understand my request. If you still have a feeling for me, I'm sorry, I can't reply you back. If you don't, that's much better for me. But from the way you acts, you will not give up on me, will you?"

He grinned while holding his blurry eyes. "I don't. I don't have a good reason to stop liking you. Although, at that time I was really angry with you. If I didn't come to pick you up. I didn't know what would happen. Didn't you remember a tiny bit? After that, I brought you back to the car. Yes, It was wrong of me to drive while drunk. But," sighing. He continued, "That's not the point. I care about you Sarah, before and now too."

She shook her head and told him, "I said it's useless. I didn't remember the accident before and your kindness. This conversation will not be getting anywhere. So let me the one who says this, bye, Daniel."

"Wait!" Daniel blocked her way staggeringly. "Please tell me, how do you feel about me?"

Tereza looked at his handsome feature. His handsomeness was in par as Han, yet she liked Han more. Simply because he was her husband.

She responded, "Nothing. I didn't feel anything to you. Can you move away?" She looked at him with a nonchalant expression.

Daniel grabbed her arm and asked without looking at her. "I want to know, who do you love now?"

She broke the grip again. But this time was much stronger! His grip was hurting her, so she needed to pay back too.

She said conspicuously, "Of course, my husband. Didn't I say it already?" Tereza looked at Daniel as if he was stupid.

"..." Dumfounded.

Yes, he knew about that! But, that's not what he's asking!

Before he could ask her again, Tereza passed his body and went outside, leaving Daniel alone in the room. His face was rigid and he couldn't process what was happening to him a moments ago.

Did she just dump him?

Daniel came back to his sense, chasing her with his IV bag in his body. He followed her figure, he complained inwardly why he was so slow?! He dashed to her side but she kept walking further away from him.

Others patient came to his direction. It blocked his pace to keep her track. "Excuse me...excuse me..." He said to the other patients. Staggeringly he walked to her direction. She was outside the building now, close to the hospital's glass door. "Sarah-" He swallowed his voice.

As if there's a big needle holding his voice to call her name.

He halted his step, standing there while staring at her and the 'man'.

Tereza was walking slowly toward Han. She tried to sneak attack him from behind. He was calling someone right now. Ha! He didn't realize it, right? After he was finished, Tereza surprised him, "Ba-" Yet before she did it she screamed back because Han suddenly scooped her and lifted her to the sky. "Uwaa! What are you doing?"

Han giggled, "Do you think I didn't know you're behind me?" He looked at her petite figure compared to him.

"Ah! Han you jerk! Put me down! Put me down!"

"Don't want to."

Tereza's mouth twitched. "Han, you treat me like a kid!"

He curled his lips up. "Hmm, kiss me first then I let you down."

"That's it?" Han nodded. "Alright." She circled her hand to his neck while her buttocks were supported by his hands. She kissed his right cheek. "Done."

"Next here." He pointed to his lips. Tereza pursed her lips. 'Are we really going to kiss in the public now?' She thought.

As if he read her mind, he said, "We done this plenty of time. Who cares about public opinion."

Tereza agape from his statement. She asked, "Are you esper?" How did he know about her thought?

He nodded with a blank face, "I'm esper if it's related to you and aren't you the real esper?" Tereza forgot about her power from the flower spirits, she smacked her forehead about the fact. Well, it wasn't her fault that the power she got was a little weak. Ordinary people who were enhancing their power with proper training could compare the same as her. In other words, her power a little useless and could work from time to time only.

This year she wanted to start learning a martial art with Han and Hana. The horrible experience when she was facing Oda Inugami was something she'll never forget. She planned this schedule after Ringo born. She wanted to protect herself and family. She didn't want the same mistake to be repeated again.

Han disturbed her thoughts and asked with ordering tone. "Now, where's my kiss?"

Tereza blinked a few times and her face was blushing from embarrassment. 'For real?' She thought. "Ah! Who cares!" She pecked his lips while closing her eyes, but instead his lips that she kissed. It was his chin.

Han drew his face down and grazed her lips lightly. "Alright, thank you." He asked, "Did you finish with your matter to him?"

Tereza wondered as she leaned her head to his shoulder, "I think so. He didn't really do anything to me."

"Except him hugging you."

She asked surprisingly, "You saw that? How many eyes do you have?"

"Two."

"..." Obviously!

She smacked his head from behind and didn't talk to him anymore. She let herself carried by him while she closed her eyes in his embrace. "Now, you're the big baby." He said teasingly.

She opened her eyes again and shouted at him, "Shut up! And start walking!" She gritted her teeth and start chewing his neck like a dog eating her favorite bone.

He chuckled and walked to his car. 'How cute.' He thought about her reaction. Han glanced slightly behind him and he smirked.

"Wait!" Daniel screamed. He strode his legs close to their side.

The couple looked behind them. Han was frowning while Tereza felt confused. 'Is he following me?' She thought.

"Sarah, is this the man you said as your husband?" He asked shakingly.

Tereza nodded, "Yes, he is."

"So you do love him." He muttered. He asked her one more time to confirm his heart, "If you see me as dolphin or a butterfly. What will you choose?"

"Excuse me?" Tereza asked, blinking her eyes as if she heard him wrong. 'What's with this weird question?' She thought. She answered him lightly, "Dolphin?"

Daniel stunned and then let out a soft laugh. He covered his eyes and replied to her, "Alright. Thank you."

Daniel looked at the loving couple who start entering their car and drove away from the hospital area. His face was a mess. He literally didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He saw them acted sweetly to each other and how Sarah felt comfortable with that man.

He suddenly realized, wasn't that man Han Asuzawa?

His feeling was in chaos. Why she was with him? Why him? Was there something he didn't know about this? Rioko said she changed, was this the thing she changed about? Sarah didn't love him anymore?

That last question he gave to her as well.

Hah, he didn't want to believe it. It was just his hunch. He knew her so well, yet it was the truth. It couldn't be, right?

Daniel went back to his patient room. Rioko was there sitting on the couch. She looked worried and said, "Where did you go?"

Daniel listless said, "Can you...leave me alone for now? I want to be alone."

"Did Sacchan said something bad to you? Did you apologize to her?"

"What do you think?" He didn't want to elaborate more. Rioko pretty much guessed what just happened, judging from his pale expression. Her heart ached, she didn't like to see him like this. That was one of the reasons she didn't want to tell him directly.

She watched Daniel and Sarah for a couple of years and she knew how he loved her so much. How Sarah loved him back as well. Just because of that accident, in this one year, everything changed. She should feel glad that Sarah found a new love, yet why she hated herself because of that?

She said with a calm tone, "I'll go home now. If you need anything you can call me." She walked to the door direction and paused her step. She looked back, "Be strong, Daniel."

Bam!

The door closed.

Daniel stood inside in the middle of the room. He collapsed to the floor and started wailing. "AHHHHH! AH! AH!" He screamed like madness. He punched the floor as his tear uncontrollably fell to his hand.

Sobbing as he pounded his chest painfully. He didn't know why this happened to him. The woman he loves for over ten years was no longer love him.

Or should he say she was no longer in this world?

"Mommy, who is this?" Sarah said blinking her cute eyes to the boy in front of her. Lucy Ginga curved her lips and answered her, "This is your new playmate. Sacchan, introduce yourself."

Little Sarah tilted her head and reached her hand to shake his, "Hello? My name is Sarah. Sarah Ginga. You can call me, Sacchan!"

The boy looked a little taller than her as he looked down to the little girl. He beamed and said, "I'll call you Sarah. I'm Daniel Chong." As he shook her little hand. She was a pudgy girl.

"No! You must call me Sacchan! Sacchan!" She stomped her foot angrily. She didn't like people call her Sarah unless they were not close. But this boy would be her playmate, so he must learn to be familiar with her.

Little Daniel chuckled and felt this girl was amusing. He said, "I'll call you Sacchan for now. But when we grow up. I'll call you Sarah. Is that okay?"

She creased her brows, "Why do you insist to call me Sarah?"

Little Daniel looked at her curious eyes, he said while coughing embarrassingly, "According to Christianity, your name means princess." The first time he saw her, he also thought the same. The name Sarah suited to her image.

Sarah opened her eyes wide and blinked. She grinned and said, "Okay you can call me Sarah!"

"..." Daniel shook his little head. 'What a simpleton.' He thought.

"Come! Come! I'll show you around the house!" Sarah pulled Daniel's hand as they went to her house to play.
