98 The Island 3

On the highest floor, the three-man were waiting for them. Rei Ishii was reading a book while Crazy Kei talking with Jo Miura.

They were complaining about the stupid couple who were late!

Not until thirty minutes later they arrived in the restaurant. They wore new outfits and refresh themselves again.

The couple strode their legs to the dining table. They could see the three-man with a gloomy aura. Han was coughing as he sat down on the chair followed by Tereza with an awkward face. Across them, Jo Miura was sighing. He asked with a frown face, "Why did you taking so long?"

"Taking care of my son," Han said with a straight face, but Tereza was fanning her head with her hands. Why was it hot in here?

The three of them judging the liar couple profoundly. 'Like we believed what you just said, Han.' They thought inwardly.

Han was coughing again and started to introduce Tereza to them, Ignoring the judging eyes. Tereza bowed to their greetings with her unfaded flush face. Her thought was still engrossed about 'it' a moment ago.

Crazy Kei with his usual gaudy clothes suddenly whistle, he was staring at Tereza for awhile and he couldn't help to feel enchanted to her. Her smile was pretty, he unconsciously curved the corner of his lips while looking at her. 'She is indeed a beauty like everyone say.' He thought. Han noticed his amorous gaze to his wife. He squinted his eyes, looking at him sharply. Crazy Kei smirked challenging.

He said to Tereza, "Why did you marry him (Han)? He's not a fun person at all~"

Tereza chuckled from his remark while Han's face turned darker and darker. Crazy Kei continued, "But Sarah-chan~ let me tell you something funny about him. Have you ever see him drunk? He was really cute when he got drunk. He looked like different people, powerless and spoiled. You should make him drunk again! It's been a while I didn't see it. Now, every time I offered him, he would always refuse! Do you believe he said he stopped drinking because he wanted to be healthy? Hah! Han, I know you stopped drinking after the incident on your wedding day, right?"

When Tereza heard that, she subconsciously held his navy blue skirt and crumpled it. She reminded how she was on the verge of dying once more. If not for flower spirits help her, she probably died on the spot from the poison.

Han noticed his wife uneasiness, he interrupted his talk, "I'm sorry, but I didn't easily get drunk. I stopped because I want to take care of my family more with healthy body and mind." As he reached his hand to grab her hand and held it to calm her down.

Tereza was relieved somehow.

Crazy Kei continued, "It is 'right now'! Not like 'before'! Remember when your first tasted the alcohol? It was really cute when you were dancing with your underwear on the street! Hahaha."

"It was before, stop talking about the past and don't call me cute." He said it while gritting his teeth. His face and ears turned to red. He was embarrassing as hell!

Some of his old actions when he was a teenager brought him to shame. When he was dancing with underwear at an open public, thank goodness it was midnight. Now all of the people passed the streets, but he got 'mad dog' nickname was starting from this humiliating incident.

He or should he say Hanzo at that time was too drunk to think clearly. He only nodded to all of Crazy Kei's instruction to him. He had been played by him and stupidly followed him like a dog! He cursed his old self to believe those guys.

Tereza heard their conversation, deep in thought, she tried to recall Han's story when he told his story in teenage years. She could guess how he was in the past according to his story. He didn't say much or put it in detail, but she knew how his time with Crazy Kei and the gang was a little complicated and a lot of parts which needed to keep in secret.

Especially bad doings. Until now she didn't know how they were still 'friends' or how could Han still interact with Crazy Kei and Rei Ishii as if nothing happened? She could understand Jo Miura, but why Han still attached to those two? Was this because he felt owing something to them? Old friendship sake? Or so she thought.

Sighing, she didn't understand their bromance.

In reality, Han didn't know how he felt about the two of them. He didn't forgive nor forgive them. It was yet another indifferent feeling.

Although, they were delinquent in the past. Lousy actions were something usual for them, yet that past led him to where he was right now.

So, should he felt grateful for them?

After he became a new him, years he accumulated a new heart and resolves. Perhaps how his experience with the gang treatment to him in the past, noticing how weak and foolish he was. When 'Han' and 'Hanzo' personality were combined, there was a little fracture when it happened.

It turned out the one who dominated the most was 'Han' personality while 'Hanzo' was half of it. This reason was something he didn't understand. But one thing he did notice, he became ferocious than before when treating other people besides his family.

He questioned him again, should he felt grateful to the gang for finding the new him?

When she glanced at him, she could define a little how he felt right now. 'He probably recalling something in the past.' She thought.

For now, she didn't want to trigger something he didn't like. If she was curious she could just ask him and he would answer it right away. Right now was not the time.

Crazy Kei kept talking about Han embarrassing things back in the old days. Han from time to time retorted him while the others listening and laughing, Rei Ishii helped Crazy Kei to diss Han.

Tereza wondered, were Crazy Kei and Rei Ishii really bad as Han said? How they portray Han stories as if it was funny things, but no for Han.

She asked, "How was him from your standpoint?"

"Han?" Crazy Kei was deep in thought, recalling about Han. He said, "He was weak yet strong." He reminded how Han was a good dogfighter. He liked to tease him and play a prank at him. Han was easy to manipulate and it entertained Kei.

'Which one? So, do you think he was strong or weak? Please, pick one!' She thought confusedly.

"He was bleak yet wacky just like this guy." Rei Ishii pointed his finger to Crazy Kei. He chuckled while shrugging.

"It was puberty, please don't mind him, Dear," Han assured Tereza with his pleading tone. He had enough with this nonsense. He didn't want Tereza's mind to get contaminated from their baloney.

'No sh*t puberty.' She thought. Tereza was quite confused with this absurdness. She didn't need this explanation about his personality in the past. She pretty much could guess from his mental illness which let him like that.

What she wanted to know, how they thought about Han. 'Were' they treated him as a friend? Or 'are' they treat him as a friend now?

Han suddenly held her right hand and said, "No need to ask them again."

"Eh? I didn't get my chance yet!" Jo Miura said with lifting his eyebrows. Han was trying to stop him to say nothing as well as Tereza who had pretty much figured what he will say about him, yet unexpected from them, Jo Miura started to talk, "At first, I thought he was a little hoggish and quiet. He liked to do everything alone and workaholic. Especially when we first met. Our first impression was the worst. Although he was like that, he was someone who cares about his comrades and good with his family. He told me how he loves his family and didn't want to disappoint them anymore. He's a filial son and solitary person, I respect him because of that. So, for me, he's a brother and friend. Well, that's how I see~"

'Oh wow, finally one person describing him for real. He turned out as deep thinker person.' Her thought about Jo Miura slightly improved.

"Oi, oi, I know Han treats you better than two of us. Don't boast him to his wife. She needs to know how bad he is! From past and now too!" Crazy Kei jokingly said it.

Rei Ishii smirked and said, "Well, I think his wife know about him already. Although she didn't saw his bad side directly, isn't right, Sarah-san?"

Tereza nodded slowly with a smile. The Han Tereza knew was someone who was a good husband to her and easy to bully. Maybe she could share her feeling the same as them. She loved teasing at Han and playing a prank at him, while his reaction was something she could imagine for to be, so it's always fun! But never did she saw his other bad side beside anger.

Well, add a plus to another expression when it comes to their s*x.

Han was speechless and didn't hear Rei Ishii questioning his wife. He was still thinking about Jo's thought about him. He knew how his relationship with Jo Miura was a good friend but this was the first time he heard directly Jo described him.

Did he feel a little touched? He didn't understand, it was a tingling feeling.

Han met him again after established HJ company and Jo came as his first business partner. It was shocking for Han. How could a famous agent like him abandoned his job and run a company? He knew every people had their freedom to choose and live. So, he didn't wonder too long and casually greet him as an old friend.

They reminisce about the past, how Jo saved his life and he felt thankful with that. How Jo practiced and done a lot of mission with him until he finally graduated from military school. Since then they lost contact until he introduced himself as a business partner four years later.

One day, he asked about Han story after he graduated from military school. He wanted to know what happened to him in a high school year. Jo was regretful after he was doing his mission that he didn't ask him to keep in touch.

Jo Miura heard a lot of his stories when he was in high school and he didn't know what to say. He even didn't realize that Han was trouble with double personality at all! He was dumbstruck of course, but it was interesting for him as well. He loved unique people!

He didn't laugh when Han told him about his problem one day. Jo could see Han's pale face and his quivering tone. As his brother and friend, he could only help him by listening to the part of his story. Especially the story of how he got his illness. Also about his grandmother.

Jo could feel sympathized.

Another thought about Han, he was someone who held debt to people. If he felt owing something, he would keep that feeling until he satisfied and turn to naught. But, it never ever did succeed. Just like with his parent, Crazy Kei and Jo Miura as well.

The next day, Han along with Tereza and Ringo to see Han's gifts to Tereza. After Han finished showed his to Tereza, she felt thankful and couldn't help to excite.

When they were finished, Han brought Tereza to her promised land. It was a wide grassland and he checked the place previously. It was perfect for her future plan and also their picnic plan right now.

The three of them came to the place while the servants were waiting for them outside the area. They brought a picnic set and a camera because the place which Han chose had a good view of the ocean. Tereza was awed by the sight.

When they arrived at the picnic spot, she could see grassland and trees everywhere. It was refreshing to see. The family took a picture together and laying down in the mats which they place on the ground. They stared at the clear blue sky.

They were side by side enjoying the breeze and didn't realize how their eyes started to feel drooping. They took a nap together.

After a couple of minutes, Tereza woke up with an odd feeling. She looked at her hands and her right side. he got up from Han's hand lap and she searched around her. Han opened his eyes from startling movement. He asked her 'what's wrong?'

Tereza's face was haggard. She gazed at his eyes with teary looks. She shouted with quivering tone, "Ringo is missing!"
